Fake

Fake

I remember hearing about this case, and it struck me as strange at the time but not enough to write about it.

Add the case to a long line of fake hate crimes — which often occur on campuses or among students/faculty, where the desire to achieve a political point and be a hero victim seems all too common.

From The Hartford Current (h/t Instapundit):

The day Alexandra Pennell addressed an anti-hate rally at Central Connecticut State University about the anti-gay messages scrawled on her door, police had begun to question her claims.

Twice the video surveillance system placed in Pennell’s room to help police identify the person responsible for scrawling the notes had been disabled, in one case just before a note was slid under Pennell’s dorm room door.

Police say only after they set up a second camera in a hall closet — a camera that Pennell did not know about — did they learn the truth: Pennell had been writing the notes herself.

For a partial list of hate crime hoaxes, see this Google search.

Well, we should still hate haters and the haters who hate them.

A Hate myself crime

Let’s include Eric Holder in the list of fakers, shall we?

He’s BOTH produced fake hate crimes AND claimed victim-hood for himself.

TrooperJohnSmith | July 3, 2012 at 2:01 pm

Wait… but… but… she’s still a victim!!

While not the target of a hate-crime, she did what she did because she is: (1.) addicted; (2.) sleepwalking after taking Ambien; (3.) the victim of cruel and insensitive parents; (4.) is suffering flashbacks to the time when big brother’s G.I. Joe killed her My Little Pony; (5.) the victim of her hate-filled, long-lost identical twin; (6.) suffering from a disassociative disorder; or (7.) all of the above.

No, a good, drama-filled, victim-centric incident cannot be wasted. Plus, we’ve already planned a LBGT bake sale and protest, postponing would mean wasting all the goodies, not to mention two new, papier-maché protest heads.

Underscores yet again the importance of getting video evidence of the activities of leftists. Without video’s impartial independence the routine lies of leftists would go unaddressed.

Damn, the left hates the truth.

You point out something really important: the emergence of the video camera is the left’s undoing.
The videos from James O’Keiffe, Breibart, the average tea party person, as well as unedited news videos have exposed the left for the liars they are.

The video camera has exposed that left’s rallies are much smaller than the msm claims, that the tea party rallies are huge, that the claims of Pelosi and company of the N word being used at a tea party rally was untrue, etc., etc, etc.

Yup. I’m looking at getting a body cam of some sort, with lots of memory, for this sort of thing.

Please young lady … don’t give Dizzy Miss Lizzy Warren any ideas!

creeper in reply to LukeHandCool. | July 3, 2012 at 9:01 pm

Funny you should say that. When I saw the headline I immediately assumed this post was about Lizzie Bord..er, Warren.

    Elizabeth Warren took an axe
And gave her critics forty whacks
And when the job was nicely done
    She gave the voters forty-one.

But you can’t chop your hist’ry up in Massachusetts
And base your heritage on your cuisine
No, you can’t chop your hist’ry up in Massachusetts
That kind of thing is sure to cause a scene.

“Fake, but accurate…”

she will go far once she gets her journalism degree.

John Roberts just weighed in: don’t get caught up in labels as in if Obamacare is a tax what kind is it: excise, income, or capitation. Then you just miss the whole point. It’s a hate crime even if the victim is the perpetrator. See, I just did it myself using labels like victim and perpetrator! Sorry, my bad!

I suspect this is far more common than we realize.

It all comes down to controlling the media.

If the Left didn’t have almost 100% control of the MSM, none of this would be possible.

If that isn’t the very definition of what they define as a hate crime, I’ll need someone to tell me why.

If you have to manufacturer your persecutors, you aren’t persecuted. That isn’t a very difficult concept.

Teaching evolutionary principles promotes low self-esteem, which engenders self-hate crimes.

Unfortunately, the natural order is the defining order and not an article of faith as is evolution, God, etc.

That said, it’s interesting to consider that several thousand years ago, God’s order was recorded, and we have since confirmed that it is compatible with the natural order. Perhaps Darwin was not the first human being to recognize evolutionary principles in practice.

With respect to evolutionary fitness, why is our society attempting to normalize a behavior which is objectively dysfunctional?

There are behaviors which we normalize, tolerate, and reject. There is no legitimate reason to normalize a behavior which has no redeeming value to either society or humanity.

I suppose if we tolerate promiscuity, and the dysfunctional biology and relationships it engenders. We can also tolerate homosexual behavior and the same consequences for society and humanity.

Anyway, as we have observed increased physical and mental defects in our children, a majority who reproduce in the minority, STDs (e.g. AIDS), divorces in the majority, elective abortions on the order of millions, and generally progressive dysfunction throughout society, we should be careful how we classify behaviors and especially those we choose to normalize.

Liberal TEJTM* thinking:

1. Anti-gay harrassment occurs.
2. I don’t like it.
3. I am ready to stand up against it and end it.
4. I’d draw more attention were I a victim of it.
5. But I’m not a victim of anti-gay harrassment.
6. Anti-gay harrassment occurs.
7. Does it matter if I’m not the precise victim of it?
8. I falsify evidence of anti-gay harrassment.
9. I claim to be a victim of anti-gay harrassment.
10. My efforts now receive attention.

*The ends justify the means.

This story represents everything wrong with Liberal America in a succinct 2 minute television spot. The Democrat party operates under these same “principles” every day. It’s a simple fraud, self-victimize then take advantage of the people who feel sorry for you.

Alexandra Pennell. Isn’t she from the Cherokee Tribe?

It’s got to where any time there’s a well-publicised “hate crime”, my default assumption is that it’s a hoax of some sort. This applies even in the case of alleged antisemitic incidents, which I know still happen with dismaying frequency; I still start out skeptical of any given incident, provided that it gets a lot of publicity. It’s unfortunate, but I think it reflects reality.
