A clarifying day

A clarifying day

I think today has been clarifying.  Whatever pretense of civility existed in the Obama campaign is gone.

It’s okay, perfectly okay with the President for his campaign staff to call Mitt Romney a liar and potential criminal:

“No,” Obama press secretary Ben LaBolt said in response to a question from POLITICO about whether the president would apologize.

Name calling is okay.

It’s the official policy of the President of the United States.

Do you not understand that either of those traits, lying or potentially being a criminal, are not considered a bad thing to some?

well, it is well known that Ear Leader is a SCOAMF, which isn’t name calling, just an accurate description of his three and one half years of willful ineptitude.

Fine by me. Even better when the O’Bumblers start whining about being smeared.

“Whatever pretense of civility existed in the Obama campaign is gone.”

Was there a pretense to begin with? I must’ve missed it. Maybe it was a pretense to a pretense to a pretense.

“It’s okay, perfectly okay with the President for his campaign staff to call Mitt Romney a liar and potential criminal.”

Well, then, it’s perfectly okay for my staff to call Obama’s mentor, Reverend Wright, a raving lunatic. I think I’d know someone was a lunatic if he were my mentor for 20 years.

I mean … one (Romney’s ending as CEO) is a question of semantics, basically.

The other … (Wright as Obama’s mentor) is a question of anti-Semetics, basically.

Which is more important? The technical question of when Romney gave up the day-to-day at Bain or when Obama finally threw the anti-American, anti-Semitic lunatic under the bus?

Tie may usually go to the president … but this is no close call.

Out at first you anti-American, anti-Semitic cool slowjammer, you.

“Well, then, it’s perfectly okay for my staff …”

My staff being my wife, our three kids, and our three pets.

And all around me who will listen to (my) reason!

    LHC,
I always enjoy reading your (and your staff’s!) commentary, but you really hit it out of the park with this one.

    Well done!

      Awww, tanks, herm!

You made my day … after a night when my wife told me once again what a loser I am.

They won’t apologize because they’re all excited that they think they found something they can make a meme on, given that they couldn’t find an instance in which Romney identified himself as 1/32 Mexican, given that Obama regularly jetskis with his family in Hawaii, and given that no one from the Mormon church has a youtube on the internet goddamning America.

In view of the Obama campaign’s attitude, this is a reasonable time to revive the transcript issue. As it happens, a thought (prolly not original) recently crossed my mind about it:

It’s not the grades that Obama is hiding, it’s the courses. I’m wondering if he had a de facto major in Marxist/Afrocentrist Studies.

It’s a sign of growing desperation. Begin the watch for the Obama campaign staff shakeup. Place your bets:

‘Adjustments’ will be made in the
Obama campaign staff within:

__ One Week

__ Two Weeks

__ Three Weeks

__ Four Weeks

__ Never. Obama & company don’t make mistakes.

Just Obama displaying the brutality common to all authoritarian regimes.

At this point, Obama is just a wannabe. Imagine what his second term would be like.

Will Romney get indicted? Probably not…but don’t be surprised if something like it does happen.

Isn’t Barack Husein 0bama the fellow who published for many years with a flap-cover biography identifying himself as having been born in Kenya, and now smears everybody who suggests the same? Isn’t he the fellow who had over 3 dozen demonstrable falsehoods published in his autobiography? And his campaign staff is busy calling somebody else a liar? Wow.

Projection. It’s a classic case of projection.

That’s exactly where I was going to go with a post! Liars and cheats see everyone else in the same light. It’s how they justify their actions and beliefs.

I followed the link to Politico.

The comment section is full of breathtakingly vicious verbal savagery. The vitriol! And even more frightening, the utter conviction that they are right, and anyone who disagrees must be steamrolled.

Reminiscent of the “Bush was AWOL!” of 2004.

No words exist that are vile enough to describe liberals.

The clarifying day was a few years ago — when Obama announced his dream for a “civilian security force as powerful, as large and as well-funded as the military.” (What didn’t anyone get?)

This guy is as nuts as he is a fraud. He was the Manchurian Candidate in 2008, and now he is the Manchurian President. Only he’s not so “Manchurian” anymore, is he?

Everybody wake the hell up already, and say it like it is before we lose our nation and our freedom.

Or maybe I’m nuts, and he’s just a nice young man in over his head. (A 50 year old is a ‘nice young man?’)

TFR: when Obama announced his dream for a “civilian security force as powerful, as large and as well-funded as the military.” (What didn’t anyone get?)

    In Obama’s own words:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tt2yGzHfy7s&feature=youtube_gdata_player

“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a  Civilian National Security force that’s just as strong, just as well funded”

Annenberg Foundation’s factcheck claims this was merely “Obama’s call for doubling the Peace Corps, creating volunteer networks and increasing the size of the Foreign Service.”

    http://factcheck.org/2008/11/obamas-national-security-force/

    Got that?

So, whatever happened to Obama’s Civilian National Security force? Maybe, that’s being pursued “under the radar”, just like gun control, as Obama assured Sarah Brady of the Brady Campaign. Then, those pesky ATF whistleblowers outed the Fast and Furious gun walking scheme to prove Mexican drug cartels bought their weapons in the US and, thereby, turn public opinion toward gun control.

We have ideed entered a new phase. All the people who have covered for his growing absurdities are entering territory they never concieved of. To this point they have been able to rationalize that it was just a differance of viewpoint. Obama has justifiably come to believe they will cover for him no matter how outrageous the lie. They now find themselves ensnared in a narrative that is destroying their few remaining shreds of professional credibility. It was a hoot this afternoon to hear Wolf B. try to get a straight answer from an Obama stooge re their latest totally refuted smear of Romney. I bet they are all horrified to find themselves being sucked down by the shipwreak they helped foster.

Being labeled a felon certainly spices up Mitts image.

So much better than just being a criminal -felon has style .

Mitt Le premiere criminil du Mormons. Sounds even better in french.

It’s born of desperation – and it is only July.

The tentative moves in the media toward a slightly, ever so slightly more balanced approach to covering the race is born of the same. They are deciding they don’t want to go down with the ship: if Romney wins, they don’t want to be seen as having carried Obama’s water to the point of being unfair, even though it most certainly has been the case all along.

A late conversion, even partial, is still welcome, if only as a sign of how they really see Obama’s chances.

jimzinsocal | July 13, 2012 at 7:55 am

Agree Professor. Seems like the rules of engagement have beed nudged closer to the gutter. As everyone did yesterday…we saw how far an Obama campaign is willing to go to keep the Pharoah in office. And we can expect more desparation from these desparate people.

It appears that the liberals cannot understand the concept of a “Leave of Absence” (without pay). Obama just abandoned his job as a Senator (but still collected his pay) in order to run for president. Romney officially took leave without pay in order to actually do a major job (save the Olympics) without pay and worked more in one week than Obama did his entire Senate term.

This ignores the fact that Obama did not do anything during the rest of his so-called “career”.

The good news is that Romney’s overweening ambition and lust for the presidency will not let him passively accept this guff from the Democrats. He’ll fight like a cornered animal for ego reasons alone. I just hope Romney and other Republicans jettisons the “Obama’s a nice guy but in over his head” line. It always was nonsense, but after the kind of demagoguery we’ve seen 7×24 from Obama and his surrogates in the past few weeks as they see things slipping away from them, assuming any shred of human decency on their part shows terrible judgement if it comes from a Republican candidate.

Interesting. I do believe Romney’s liar ad stung them pretty hard. This campaign is going to be extra nasty when Romney starts his major push in the Fall. If Mitt continues to appear presidential, Obama will shrink in the eyes of the undecideds.

OK, they will try to call us racist, and we’ll show that their policies have failed, particularly for their protected class.

It will be fun.

But just whisper one unflattering remark about Sock Puppet an you’re a RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACIST.

TrooperJohnSmith | July 13, 2012 at 12:01 pm

My good friend, the Worn-Out Homicide Detective, was telling me a story about while he was still in uniform. This lady was faced with an intruder, and having called the cops, was trying to defend herself until help arrived. The man was drunk and enraged, and just before he was upon her in her tiny apartment kitchen, she knocked him over the head with a small but heavy crock of bacon drippings from her stove top. Homicide Cop said that it took a supreme effort just to stand up on the greasy floor. Both cops’ uniforms were covered in bacon grease, as was the suspect. The next shift removed the cruiser from service, and it took the motor pool a whole shift to clean the car, but it still smelled of bacon for weeks afterward.

Asked why she hit him with THAT, she said, “That’s all I had!”

That’s the Obama campaign in a nutshell. Ad hominem, lies, personal attacks and hyperbole are all the have!

Oh chill out people. It’s just a composite campaign, it doesn’t really mean anything.
