What They Are Saying About Me
- "Someone with credibility is saying these things and trying to do something. Thank you."
- "'Obtuse' is just about the nicest thing I could say about Jacobson. The problem with being too steeped in any profession is that you run the risk of no longer understanding the difference between reality and your profession's most obscure minutiae."
- "I just wanted to thank you for writing such a great article on your reasons why you voted for John McCain. I wish everyone would have read that article."
- "Jacobson is doing only what other McCain supporters are starting to do, produce these worthless pieces from some narrow perch in order to cover up their own racist bigotry"
- "Cornell and the country need more educators like yourself to keep the flag of reason flying."
- “I take it Jacobson teaches at the cow college part of Cornell, and not the elite section where Coulter attended.”
- "Thank you for speaking out... and I hope you avoid repercussions in 'The People's Republic of Ithaca.'"
- "My Favorite Law Professor"
- "I love Professor Jacobson at Legal Insurrection on any given day, but today I love him like I love Christmas."
- Bill Jacobson is the smartest, best looking and most loved law professor at all of Cornell and his blog is one of the finest out there.

I ran your comment through a translator and got this: “This year-old stupid human”
Uhh yeah you could say/type that. In fact, you did.
I am struggling every day to understand why Jews support Obama. He surrounds himself with Jew haters and anti-Israel stooges. Most unsettling are the Jewish Hollywood elites who stand by him and give him money. They turn a blind eye to his support of Muslims who will kill those Jews and Christians who do not convert to Islam. These same stooges will be in the lines that lead to gas chambers. WHY???
They’re liberals first, Jews second.
Yes oui כן
That wasn’t a bumper sticker originally – it was one of those New Yorker cartoons
These are the Jews who want to go back to Egypt.
Off topic but not off subject:
In view of the NC vote, there is need for a bumper sticker equating support for gay marriage to racism.
How fortunate for the Really Smart People that Marx showed how to resolve such inconvenient cultural contradictions.
It doesn’t have a thing to do with liberalism. Liberals believe that people are perfectly capable of making their own decisions. Socialists and commies are the ones that think that they are entitled to tell other people how to live their lives.
I suppose you could call them elitists.
Some people like to dance with death. Obama will help them realize their dreams.
Professor, your headline is incorrect. The proper spelling is meshuggener. For a female who is crazy, it’s spelled messugenah. For general craziness, it’s mishegas. Glad to clear that up for you as a Republican Jew in NYC.
I think I got it right, there are several versions, and the one I used refers to something that is crazy not a person, http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/mashugana
That’s interesting. I have never seen it spelled mashugana.
This is the way I have always seen it:
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/meshuggeneh
I am no expert however.
There is no correct way to transliterate from one alphabet to another. It’s completely a matter of taste. However the headline is wrong for another reason: משוגע׳נע (meshugene, or however else you prefer to transliterate it) needs a noun to apply to. That is a meshugene bumper sticker, or the driver is a meshugene person. But the sticker or the driver is simply משוגע (meshuge), without any suffix.
