Taking quite a chance in ALexandria. The people inside the Beltway are truly on another planet–having to travel there frequently. Everyone still seems to have piles of cash to spend there.
I’m sure they DO have cash to spend. They are the over-paid teet-suckers of the only growth industry in the area…and, “Brother, bidness is a-booming” to quote from Inglorious Bastards (and…really…how apropos was THAT…!)

That was my thought precisely. It has been confirmed through numerous reports, including from liberal outlets (e.g. Slate), that a sample population of liberals has a predisposition for intolerance.

You can’t count on that any longer. Northern Virginia is rapidly becoming “southern Maryland” in far too many ways.
I know far too many government employees are out-and-out, flaming Marxists who have absolutely no regard for the Constitution and have no concept of limited, enumerated powers for the central government.
But when the region is full of people who personally benefit financially from the never ending growth of the central government, you can’t expect them to support reining in that central government…
