Where are they now?

Where are they now?

One of my favorite photos, run on the blog a number of times in the past.

Something about it just seems to sum up the mania which swept the nation in 2008.

Now that Obama is in full-out pander mode to the youth (as he sells out their future by loading up the national debt and smothering job creators), I wonder what happened to these revelers from 2008.

Are they better off now than they were four years ago?

They probably work for the GSA and are partying on our dime at a convention hall near you.

I take a slightly different view of these kids.

How would you like to go though life knowing that your first vote in a presidential election went FOR the worst person in history to fill that job?

As many good votes as you MIGHT cast after that one, it will always be your first…

And, for these two, it is captured and frozen in a photo millions will see.

    Oh, the HUMANITY….!!!

Nah, they’re spilling yogurt on him these days.

The fake bunny ears tells me he was indifferent towards the Obamanites. She seems like a true believer. My guess, she is still working at Starbucks while he got tired of her politics.

Or maybe he’s an OWS loser who still thinks Obama is going to give him stuff. While he poops in a park.

And she works at a non-profit in DC.

They are not fake bunny ears. He is either telling the world that his IQ is “2” or she is a “2” on the famous “10” scale.

Idiots, and as they’re mostly unemployed, they can’t even be called Useful.

I have many family connections with the Left. I’m seeing two basic reactions to Obama: massive denial, and frustration that Obama had become a “Neville Chamberlain” figure not radical enough.

This latter theme is pretty common on the hard Left. An academic named Bromwich has written several long and ridiculous pieces on the idea in NY Review of Books and other places. It’s a plaint which has numerous historical precedent on the Left and reveals their secret affection for ends-justifies-means brute tyranny. But they’ll all vote for him in the end. Don’t kid yourself on that point.

Well… Hopefully they have become a little smarter.

If they have not, perhaps there IS a case for having to pass a basic civics test in order to vote!

I know that I’m the “new guy on the block,” but this picture is an excellent example of the Obama Youth:

“HOLY CRAP WE’RE DRUNK. MORE KEGS NOW”

Eventually they have to enter the real world.

…or.. #Occupy

Either way, they get to listen to why republicans are the cause of all their problems–who apparently control their destiny-

…From the Democrat President, begging for an “Amen”!

“A–meeenn…uh…huh….what?”

My guess: she’s on Medicaid for her and the baby, and he’s unemployed and about to default on his student loans.

Sometimes, a picture is worth 1,000 bumper stickers.

Odds…

If you ask her, that night-

Who is Obama’s choice for Vice-President? (name on sign)

or…

Who can see Russia from her house–and she mistakes Tina Fey for Palin, but enthusiastically knows the quote?

The problem with Obama in a nutshell: he doesn’t have Rush’s taste in blogs.

President Obama, interviewed by Rolling Stone:

“Do you read Paul Krugman?”

“I read all of the New York Times columnists. Krugman’s obviously one of the smartest economic reporters out there, but I also read some of the conservative columnists, just to get a sense of where those arguments are going. There are a handful of blogs, Andrew Sullivan’s on the Daily Beast being an example, that combine thoughtful analysis with a sampling of lots of essays that are out there.”

I hate to change the topic, but I watched “Rumors of War III” on GBTV earlier tonight, and was blown away.

I. Was. Blown. Away.

And very few things blow the Tamminator away.

Anecdotal evidence alert: I employed a hippie chick, who happily voted for The One. After ObamaCare passed (which she vehemently opposed), I asked her how she liked her vote. She hung her head and shook it “No.”

I suspect there are others out there. I hope…

It kind of reminds me of the 60’s protests. The girls were in it for the protests, the guys were in it for the girls.

[…] Legal Insurrection & Instapundit already know, same as me: where are the the people who made up the 2008 Obama youth vote?  Why, they’re out there looking for work, and largely not finding it.  And with far too many of them loaded down with student loan debt while trying to do it, too.  Hey, you know what would help make college cheaper?  Pruning back all those useless majors that are a breeding ground for liberal/progressive academic naifs that don’t have a clue about how the real world works, no matter how many times the real world smacks them in the face. There will be a housing boom when developers figure out, based on demographics, that one bedroom houses with no basement so kids like this can not move back home, will be in high demand.

He’s probably drinking Colt 45 instead of Heineken…she’s probably working as a waitress and wondering why her lunch shifts that used to net her $100+ now averages in the mid$40s…
