I’m proud of those few

From a reader:

As a loyal blog reader, I find great amusement in your regular bumper sticker posts. What I have for you is not a bumper sticker, but a humorous license plate of a hero.

I am a Marine stationed aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Recently, while out to dinner, my wife and I saw this license plate. It is a purple heart license plate that reads “GOTHIT.” While I do not know this Marine, I do know Marines in general. This is clearly a Marine who takes pride in his service to our country, who got injured in such service, but is able to brush it off with a sense of humor. I’m not sure if this Marine lost a leg, got a concussion, or was “grazed” by a bullet, but I am proud to serve with these fine Marines who put their lives on the line everyday to defend the right of nutty liberals to speak via bumper stickers on their cars.

My first take was GOTH IT. Then he mentioned the Purple Heart and I got it.

When I first read this I thought, “Got it!” then I looked at the type of plate….

Very clever, these Marines. 😉

Thankful for his/her service. Semper fi!

I knew it was a fellow jarhead when I saw the plate.
