without waiting for more evidence, arrests, or anything else, because any act of violence requires universal and unflinching comdemnation of everyone reading the same publications as, or sharing general political beliefs similar to, the person or persons who shot at and vandalized the home of a non-union contractor:

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department is working to solve a case of vandalism that turned life-threatening.

John King was shot in the arm last week when he surprised a man trying to slash the tires on the truck at his Lambertville home. The word “scab” was also scrawled on the side.

King says he became suspicious when he saw an outside security light outside go on.

When he stepped out of his front door, the man fired one shot and ran off.

King is the owner of the largest non-union electrical contracting company in the area.

Except when that act of violence is not perpetrated by a “right-winger,” in which case, never mind, only the persons who committed the violence are responsible.

This is so sickening. Not surprising to anyone who has been paying attention to politics in the recent past, especially the 2008 election and Wisconsin this past winter.

LaborUnionReport has been the best source for this type of activity. He is excellent! He blogs at RedState, as well as other places, in addition to his website.

If only the MSM would do their job and investigate and report on the gangster thuggery, and use their supposed journalistic skills to investigate the ties to the White House (who has been visiting the WH the most since Jan. 2009? Hint: look for the Union(s) label).

Only in Obama’s America (where a criminal/incompitent man like Eric Holder is Attorney General) is this allowed, acceptable – even encouraged.

Come on 2012!!! There is SO much to do. Or rather, un-do.

The dirty secret of labor relations is that nobody is really surprised by this story, because everyone knows that this is what unions do. They just don’t usually get caught. But the entire structure of union power is based precisely on such acts of thuggery, and more importantly the threat of same. Like the mafia, they don’t have to use violence very often, because one example is enough to frighten many people; but without any violence at all they would have no business model. And this is why the union movement is evil.

And I don’t want to hear that “in the old days” unions were necessary. I keep hearing that from otherwise sensible people, that unions used to do a good job but have become corrupt in their old age. It sounds like a good narrative, but it just isn’t true. If you look at the history of the union movement, back into the 19th century, you will find that it was built on violence far more terrible than any used today; far from declining into thuggery, the unions have actually mellowed, as they no longer have the stomach for the sort of things they did 100 years ago. Pinkertons no longer get into shootouts with unionists attempting to murder them and burn down the employer’s building. Nowadays it’s all about sugar in gas tanks, slashed tires, broken locks, nasty phone calls to people’s homes, following their children home from school, the occasional shove or punch, that sort of thing.

    You’re exactly correct, Milhouse.

Any cursory study of Pacific Northwest history and the Western Federation of Miners reveals how violent unions are and were.

It’s what they do. Always have. Always will.

Yes, Professor, that’s exactly right. Many of us now have a knee-jerk reaction to what REASONABLY looks like union work because is it so abundant.

In a court of law they ask witnesses to tell “…the whole truth…”.

In the court of public opinion, many of us have come to abhor unions because THE WHOLE TRUTH is that unions have a vast history of being associated with organized crime (I have first hand knowledge of this), they ruined the auto industry (in concert with management of course), they ruined the educational system in this country and they regularly use intimidation and thuggery (check out the SEIU Kenneth Gladney case in MO).

What about all the Democrats that got elected with union help (for decades) who then drafted (unsustainable) contracts and pension plans in the best interests of the unions and the people got screwed big time.

With such a history, you now want us to handicap ourselves by being “fair” and giving them the benefit of the doubt? No way! Every time we resort to being fair, we get things like ACRORN and Obamacare shoved down our throats. We are now looking at the Democratic Party working in concert with the unions by staffing the entire NLRB with union shills and working to keep honest and “fair” business (Boeing) from locating where they want.

Get real, in the streets of America today we are taking it in the shorts by being “fair” with unions because unions have been taking us to the cleaners for years and “fair” has not been one of their tactics.

If someone wanted to show unions in a poor light I can see how they would write “SCAB” on someone’s car. But when they take out a gun and shoot the man – that’s union work, sir!

Call me unfair – I’ll take it – I am going to be as totally and completely unfair with respect to unions as I can possibly be until they go down. We are at war with these people. In war, there is no such thing as fair – especially when you’re fighting people who have for years made a mockery of being fair.

Like we used to say when I was a kid in NJ – don’t start any sh*t and there won’t be any sh*t! The unions went down the dark road of their own accord – now its for us to take care of them. After they’re gone, then we’ll go back to being fair.

Let’s just hope this isn’t another “B” in the forehead thing.

Yeah. Because some idiot girl carving a letter into her face is exactly the same thing as some union goon shooting at someone.

Admittedly we do not know all the facts here, but several things point to this NOT being a Liberal union member who did the vandalism. It actually spelled “scab” correctly, carried a firearm (a very icky non-liberal thing to do), and used it (Oh, the horror). Now on the other hand, it did miss with the gunshot, fled when confronted, and managed to screw up the simple task of normal thuggary, so maybe it was a Liberal after all….

Seriously, I wonder how long it will be before the MSM determines this was a right-wing tea party activist evil plot.

Whoops, correction. The Thug in question acually did hit the non-union guy in the arm. So much for my theory.

I don’t know what it is going to take for people to start to realize the “real” danger the unions are to the Republic.

As Wisconsin showed us in all it’s glory:

UNIONIZED POLICE supporting their UNIONIZED THUG BROTHERS.

The edge of anarchy….

The question isn’t whether anyone will be brought to justice-the question is, in the eyes of the police, was there even an act of injustice?

Where he made his mistake is going outside. Park the car in clear line of sight from the windows and shoot the SOB. Make sure you’re the only witness talking afterward.
