Remember, we supported the Iranian regime in 2009

That’s right, the Obama administration was deliberately silent and then deliberately accommodating to the Iranian regime during 2009 protests in order to facilitate “negotiations” on the Iranian nuclear program.

What happened to all the protesters arrested?  The Guardian reports:

Prison guards in Iran are giving condoms to criminals and encouraging them to systematically rape young opposition activists locked up with them, according to accounts from inside the country’s jail system.

A series of dramatic letters written by prisoners and families of imprisoned activists allege that authorities are intentionally facilitating mass rape and using it as a form of punishment.

Mehdi Mahmoudian, an outspoken member of Iran’s Participation Front, a reformist political party, is among those prisoners who have succeeded in smuggling out letters revealing the extent of rape inside some of the most notorious prisons.

And we still mostly are silent.

This isn’t new. Elder of Ziyon had a lengthy post on the topice two years ago. And it recalls something I saw on TV in the 70’s.

Yeah, but France wasn’t making him look like a sissy in that instance, so no reason to go to war.

There are only two countries in the middle east where it would be worthwhile to help depose the leadership and just swallow the risk as to who would eventually replace them: Iran and Syria. Please note these are the only two countries Obama won’t help overthrow.

It isn’t a new story, but it’s a completely forgotten story, or one that many didn’t pay much attention to back when it happened. In fact, many of the people I talked to thought it better for Obama to be silent, as it might push the Iranians into doing bad things!!

That was when those who voted for Obama still thought he might be a decent President. With rare exception, of those I know, none will vote for him in 2012.

This is one of his MOST despicable acts, ignoring those who opposed the Iranian regime. It showed his true colors. For those who thought he should be quiet, I pointed out how Natan Sharansky wrote of how just knowing that Ronald Reagan WAS speaking out, that the United States was behind the “refuseniks”, gave he and the rest enormous strength to withstand their imprisonment and torture under the Soviets.

Now, we’re led by a man who sides with the murderers and torturers. In the last post, Professor, you wrote about how Obama might get reelected in spite of bad polls. I think you are entirely wrong, as I think he is worse off than the polls show.

Thank you for another reminder, and to me, one of the most important, why this man should be swept out of office.
