House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes announced there is no evidence of communication between President Donald Trump's team and Russian officials:
“There is no evidence that I’ve been presented [by the intelligence community] of regular contact with anybody in the Trump campaign,” Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) told reporters. “The way it sounds like to me is, it’s been looked into and there’s no evidence of anything there.”

Mike Barnicle, of all people, set the tone for the opening segment of today's Morning Joe, exclaiming "thank you, Jesus" in response to President Trump's pick of H.R. McMaster to take over from Michael Flynn as National Security Adviser. The segment was one belated Valentines Day bouquet of praise for McMaster, coming from members of the panel itself as well as in quotes from a bi-partisan array that included several critics of the president, John McCain notably among them. Perhaps even more significant than the accolades for McMaster was the suggestion that his selection reflected well on President Trump himself.

In a rare appearance on FOX News Sunday, Rush Limbaugh addressed a number of Trump related issues including the reasons for his loyal support, his battle with the media, and who's obstructing him in Washington. Here are some details from FOX News:

A few weeks ago, President Donald Trump signed his executive order that halted immigration for only a few months and from only seven countries until the government could develop a better vetting process. These countries have high Islamic terrorism occurrences, so it makes sense for our national security, right? The left pounced on him, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau put on a big show countering Trump's actions. Trudeau said Canada will welcome everyone no matter their faith and blah blah blah.

Trump's press conference on Thursday was pure Trump. The liberal media, which just a day before was complaining that Trump passed them over for questions, is now feigning shock. Chuck Todd is aghast. The Hill reports:

President Donald Trump has picked former National Labor Relations Board member Alexander Acosta for his Secretary of Labor. Trump had to choose another nominee after fast food executive Andrew Puzder withdrew on Wednesday following controversies that surrounded him, which included hiring an illegal immigrant for a housekeeper and accusations of spousal abuse.

This may be the beginning of the end of one of the most business-crushing entities in the nation. President Donald Trump is poised to introduce a series of executive actions aimed at scaling back Obama-era climate change initiatives.
The president intends to sign the actions during a visit to the Environmental Protection Agency headquarters to swear in Scott Pruitt as head of the agency, Inside EPA reported Tuesday, citing an administration source. The timing of the event has not been determined because the full Senate has not yet confirmed Pruitt.

The liberal media's inflated sense of importance is on full display. During a press conference yesterday with Benjamin Netanyahu, liberal journalists wanted to shift the narrative to the resignation of Michael Flynn. They were unable to do so because Trump took questions from reporters at Townhall and the Christian Broadcasting Network, both of whom asked about Israel and Palestine in keeping with the point of the event.

I don't know whether Donald Trump or his aides had any improper contacts with Russian Intelligence officers. Neither do you, or the media. The Intelligence Community might know, but they have provided zero facts either officially or through leaks to prove any improper, much less illegal, conduct took place. Instead, we have trial by innuendo based on there being "contacts" between Trump campaign aides and Russian intelligence.

The Associated Press has reported that Andrew Puzder has withdrawn as Labor Secretary nominee. He has released this statement: "After careful consideration and discussions with my family, I am withdrawing my nomination for Secretary of Labor," he said in the statement. "I am honored to have been considered by President Donald Trump to lead the Department of Labor and put America's workers and businesses back on a path to sustainable prosperity. I want to thank President Trump for his nomination. I also thank my family and my many supporters - employees, businesses, friends and people who have voiced their praise and hopeful optimism for the policies and new thinking I would have brought to America as Secretary of Labor."

Discussing the overnight resignation of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, CNN's David Gregory managed this morning to work in a broad swipe at the president. Gregory claimed that "the fledgling foreign policy in the Trump administration [has] been a disaster." Really? Gregory ignored: the widely-praised, weekend-long meetings that Trump just concluded with Japanese PM Abe; Trump's positive conversation with Chinese Premier Xi and the confirmation of the One China policy; the re-establishment of the special relationship with the UK and its PM May, and of course the healing of ties with Israel after years of Obama animosity culminating in his perpetration of an anti-Israel Security Council resolution.

So I've kept an eye on the UK parliament ever since Speaker John Bercow announced he did not want President Donald Trump to speak to parliament on his UK visit. At least 163 Members of Parliament (MPs) signed a petition to keep Trump from speaking at Westminster Hall. Well, due to the ruckus, reports have emerged that Trump's visit may occur at the end of summer when parliament is not in session. This means Trump can "avoid a formal snub."
