This is the latest in a series on the use of the race card for political gain:
Tonight we will address the age old question:
What do white liberals and white copy paper have in common?
First, white liberals. Melissa Harris-Perry in The Nation argues that white liberals who are fleeing Obama are reflecting their implicit racism:
The 2012 election may be a test of another form of electoral racism: the tendency of white liberals to hold African-American leaders to a higher standard than their white counterparts. If old-fashioned electoral racism is the absolute unwillingness to vote for a black candidate, then liberal electoral racism is the willingness to abandon a black candidate when he is just as competent as his white predecessors.
This intra-Democratic race card warfare is getting tiresome, though still entertaining. Pass the popcorn.
Next, there is a drive in Britain to eliminate such racially destructive items as white copy paper from elementary schools, Dress witches in pink and avoid white paper to prevent racism in nuseries, expert says (emphasis mine):
From the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizard of Oz to Meg, the good witch from the Meg and Mog children’s books, witches have always dressed in black.
But their traditional attire has now come in for criticism from equality experts who claim it could send a negative message to toddlers in nursery and lead to racism.
Instead, teachers should censor the toy box and replace the pointy black hat with a pink one, while dressing fairies, generally resplendent in pale pastels, in darker shades.
Another staple of the classroom – white paper – has also been questioned by Anne O’Connor, an early years consultant who advises local authorities on equality and diversity.
Children should be provided with paper other than white to drawn on and paints and crayons should come in “the full range of flesh tones”, reflecting the diversity of the human race, according to the former teacher.
It’s nice to see that the fight over language has moved on from black clouds, Black Friday, Black Sheep, and Black Holes to the very paper on which the words are written.
So I think we all now know what white liberals and white copy paper have in common. Don’t we?

Ummmmmm…….they’re both flat? They are both blank? They are both empty?
Or……maybe, just maybe…..they’re both WHITE!!!
Gee, do I get a gold star (or should that now be a smilie, because gold might make me a greeeeeedy capitalist)?
Please. Oh, Lord. Please.
I would choose blank or empty. Awaiting a scribe to fill them with a selective reality.
Did anyone expect a different outcome when totalitarian (or exceptional) policies replaced moral knowledge?
When denigrating individual dignity mutated and reemerged as a profitable enterprise.
They spend hundreds of billion dollars annually in a futile effort to recover traditional (and moral) knowledge which has existed for several thousand years.
They spend hundreds of billion dollars annually in a productive effort to sabotage character development and undermine economic development.
With total government spending of nearly $7 trillion (including $700 billion for defense/wars) in fiscal 2011, how is it even remotely possible for there to be homeless people n this country? Someone is lying.
Following their policies we cannot preserve liberty, let alone individual dignity.
It’s like enlightenment was merely a fad.

I suppose, that when these folks look for something, they always look in one more place, after find it, just so they don’t always find it in the last place they looked.
The stupidity is breathtaking. And the stupidest part? That this is not satire: “Anne O’Connor, an early years consultant who advises local authorities on equality and diversity.”
Umm, did this woman ever consider that white paper is used so you can actually see what is written on the paper. I think it is racist that the print is usually black. It is implying that blacks are smarter than whites because the white is just the blank part and the words contain the substance. Seriously this woman needs a serious dose of common sense and or medication.
Stupid is as stupid does, but I’m not sure who is the more stupid. Ultimately, this seems to go back to …
Many of these folks romping around Wall Street are the product of the current manefestation of a “liberal arts education.” They were robbed. I have to wonder if Elizabeth Warren’s “Consumer Protection Agency” should be unleashed on the many “professors” who peddled such poor product to these unwitting rubes.
I just finished that article by Rep. Paul Ryan. Excellent. He makes the case well, and in a way even the elitists will hopefully understand. 😉 Ryan makes some compelling points, and his reference to Jefferson should resonate – isn’t he the left’s favorite Founding Father? He is the one who gave them “separation of church and state,” after all?!
The grievance manifesto says so much about how little these OccupyWallStreet people know of reality. So sad. Also pathetic is that so many of them think Marx and his ideas are possible – good, even – and that we just haven’t done it right yet. They know nothing of reality, or actual history.
They indeed were cheated out of an education – from K thru post-grad, and much of it on our dime, to boot.
Go on, give us a tune, lads.

Based on the research of Anne O’Conner, that children need to see themselves reflected in their environment, then I better get rid of my Excellus calendar and my daughters favorite little book. Out of 12 months a majority of the families depicted are either black or hispanic with a couple white families thrown in for good measure. There are no asians or any other cultures represented. The book that my daughter loves always gives me a good laugh. It is so politically correct, it is representative of a reality that would never exist outside of some mythical UN utopian orphanage. Throughout the book there are four adults; four different shades from white to brown; and four toddlers of different shades but not the same as the adults. On the first page they are playing in the mud, next taking tubbies, then brushing their hair, then being tucked into bed. It is quite possible to have a family with such a mix of children, but the adults really throw me off. I call it the politically correct multicultural orphanage book.
That all sounds like par for the course.
More than twenty years ago, I was listening to left-wing loony tunes radio station KFPK-FM in Los Angeles while two New Black Panther types were discussing evidence of racism in neo-classical paintings … and they cited as one of the prime exhibits for their thesis the series of “Black Painings” done by Francisco Goya … mostly because they tended to be “darker” at the bottom edge and lighter at the top; that factor alone was interpreted as a signal to white people to keep the Black race down.
Astounding.
Does that mean I need to quit writing in black ink?
While they are at it, I think they should go back to blackboards and chalk, the electronic white boards are a waste of tax dollars and now they are racist….or is it the blackboard that is racist because the chalk is white which is the substance…hmmm.
Oh darn, I just realized I can’t let my son watch Little Bill anymore, it does not reflect the color of my family.
OT but Iowahawk is always worth it…LOL!

The only word on my mind is Providential (it is safe or has it reached the racist realm yet?)
I cannot help thinking about the word Providential, though I just viewed The Undefeated for the first time.
They’ve become the new targets of the race baiters.
Hello? We’re seeing red, not black. Debt and the devil.
(Witches? We have to stop already with the nasty denigration of poor old toothless gray women.)
Reminds me of the story about a female Resident Assistant in a politically correct university. She had labeled some recycling bin “White Paper” and the other “Colored Paper”. The wit had re-labeled the second one “Paper of Color”. The RA was Not Amused, and wrote a tart note to the effect of “If you think this is funny you need to see me right away.” Right.
Are we still racist if we only dislike the white half of Obama?
Is there some way we can half-denounce ourselves?

The utterly moronic nature of these people is simply appalling. They obviously have literally nothing better to do.
