We’ve been pushing back since the election against the meme that the Tea Party movement was dead.
The movement is roaring back because the underlying conditions which gave rise to the movement have not changed. If anything, the concerns over abuse of government power have been highlighted by the IRS scandal and the issue of snooping on journalists and citizens.
We have been right all along.

The TEA Party wasn’t “dead” — it was suppressed by the full force of the federal government, acting for the benefit of the President’s re-election.
Not to mention spiked, ignored and deliberately downplayed by willfully ignorant, biased newsies.
I am tempted to add “malicious.”
I’ll second malicious and add Obama sycophantic.
Taxed Enough Already (TEA) will become the battle cry following 0bamacare implementation. (It’s a tax, don’t you know?)
It may be that the Tea Party could be this nation’s savior.
There certainly is little or no evidence of common sense, honesty, fair play and competence being part of the current administration. But what troubles me most is what is the threshold that must be reached in order to wake up the now well dumb downed public?
If it is the Tea Party, I will embrace them heartily…
We are Americans. Americans have always won reguardless of politicians, media & racism…
Rockets and candles; one burns hot and fast, the other low and long.
You can’t expect any true grassroots movement to maintain for years and years the emotional fire required to exist as the Tea Party was observed in 2009. All the elements that constituted the Tea Party movement uprising of 2009 still exist, and need only a focal point in time to reemerge as the powerful political dragon that it is. When/if the Comprehensive Immigration Sellout appears to be coming down to a final vote in the House (having presumably passed the Senate), you may bank money on the fact that it will be 2009 all over again. Everything going on now is preliminary, far from end game.
Typical Tea Party members differ from other political movement members (especially astro-turfed movements) in that we have jobs, businesses, and family as priorities ahead of political demonstrations, but when crunch time comes, we will be there. Bank on it.
Bravo, HH! I’m with you. If anything, after the insults and abuses of the past year, we are more determined.
The tea party IS America … real true blue America. Some latent tea partiers have been confused by teachers and Hollywood stars, but they will, in time, recognize they are not communists … they are Americans.
Many have been put in the closet by the hate spread around. Obama’s messaging is breaking down, and the scandals are not going away. It is hip for LGBT to march, or for Pelosi to re-enact a freedom march with blacks … the real revolution will be when America recognizes its inner tea party tendencies, and comes out of the closet, denying the Marxists their Coup d’Etat victory.
Then the prosecutions begin … IRS prima donnas, union gangsters, green energy CEO’s that cashed in on grants … round em up. One election worker went to jail for admitting she voted multiple times … how many years for those that used police power to thwart 100’s of tea party groups, or that disarmed our border patrol and armed the cartels?
Maybe we need to quit nibbling around the edges. The original tea party had the energy of their conviction. This administration is lawless, and they boldly lie to us and to Congress.
There is a rule most follow. It goes “10% of the world runs the world while 90% wonder what happened and who did it.” I believe that to be true.
Further, it is often not the masses but the key moment with key leaders (MLK comes to mind) that fans a smoldering issue into a fire.
Now Bob is right in the way that the demographics and the intelligence of the people have changed en masse. That is a problem. But remember, as long as the masses get fed, get money, get Direct TV and dancing with the stars, they don’t care who is running the place.
As a friend of mine pointed out MOST things are changed at the margins, not at the core. The zealots on their side vs the zealots on ours. Do we want it bad enough to take it from them? Or are we content to watch the dancing too.
That is the question.
The Doctrine of the Three Percent.
The Three Percent are the folks the Founders counted on to save the Republic when everyone else abandoned it.
And we will.
There will be no more free Wacos and no more free Katrinas.
For we are the Three Percent.
We will not disarm.
You cannot convince us.
You cannot intimidate us.
You can try to kill us, if you think you can.
But remember, we’ll shoot back .
We are not going away.
We are not backing another inch.
And there are THREE MILLION OF US.
Your move, Mr. Wannabe Tyrant.
Your move.
One more comment- 56 people signed the Declaration and became the voice of the people out of about what 3 million?
20000 joined the army at first, mostly farmers and regular folks who brought their own weapons (hello second amendment origin). I think at the time there was 2.5 million total civilians in America- many loyal to the government.
But when the shooting started, those loyal just stepped back to the sidelines and decided to wait to see who won.
Again, the 10/90 rule
The Tea Party second wave MUST NOT coalesce, be personified by or co-opted by ANY political figure or media personalities on our side.
Everyone is a spokesman. Don’t give the media a single target to create a proximity bomb.
The problem is we’ll be handing victory over to RINOs, and thus back to the liberals we tossed out.
We need to zero in on the RINOS first.
