Regents of CU-Boulder Condemn Students for Justice in Palestine Post That Glorified Boulder Attack
“Harming and killing innocent people is not resistance”
Students for Justice in Palestine is a cancer in higher education, and they have chapters everywhere.
Campus Reform reports:
CU Boulder Regents condemn a Students for Justice in Palestine post that glorified Boulder attack
The University of Colorado Board of Regents approved a resolution condemning a Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) social media post the board said glorified the June 1, 2025 anti-Semitic attack on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall and the terrorist who carried it out.
The resolution, adopted during the board’s June 4 meeting, states that anti-Semitism and other forms of discrimination have no place at the University of Colorado.
Board Chair Ken Montera told Campus Reform that the resolution, introduced by Regents Ilana Dubin Spiegel and Elliott Hood, received unanimous support from the Board of Regents.
“Harming and killing innocent people is not resistance,” the resolution states. “Those actions do not lead to justice and they should never be celebrated.”
The board also reaffirmed its support for the victims of the attack, specifically recognizing Karen Diamond, who was killed, as well as members of the University of Colorado community who were injured.
SJP faced widespread criticism after the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attacks because it circulated a “Day of Resistance” toolkit that described the attack as part of “the resistance” and stated that Palestinian students were “PART of this movement, not in solidarity with this movement.”
Those materials prompted scrutiny from universities and state officials. Florida officials ordered public universities to deactivate SJP chapters after arguing that the organization provided material support to “a designated foreign terrorist organization.”
Asked whether the Board of Regents would take similar action in the future, Montera told Campus Reform, “If it is appropriate for us to speak out, we would do so.” He added that the board shares “a unified commitment to ensuring that every individual who wants one finds a path to their education goals at CU free from hate.”
The action followed a June 2 statement from the University of Colorado Boulder calling the post “abhorrent.” University officials said the matter had been referred to appropriate offices for review and noted that SJP is not a recognized student organization at the university.

Why isn’t SJP a recognized student organization?
Did representatives not apply? If they applied and were rejected, what was the reason?
Just kinda curious. Admittedly SJP has views that are unpopular with some. If they meet the standards for recognition they need to be recognized. If they don’t meet recognition standards or didn’t apply, that’s different.
There is no country called Palestine, and there never was. College kids are idiots, and easily manipulated, attempting to make their meaningless lives seem relevant.
