Israel Hits Hezbollah’s Beirut Command Center After Drone Attacks

Recent Israeli strike kills Hezbollah mastermind of 2007 attack on U.S. troops.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck Hezbollah’s main Dahiyeh stronghold in southern Beirut on Sunday, responding to drone attacks by the Iranian proxy terrorist group.

“Following Hezbollah’s launch of aerial targets toward Israeli territory earlier today (Sunday), the IDF conducted a precise strike on a Hezbollah command center in Beirut,” the Israeli military announced.

The Lebanon-based terrorist group was using the command center to direct cross-border attacks against Israel, the IDF disclosed. “The command center was used by Hezbollah terrorists to advance terrorist attacks against the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon,” the military added.

Isreali news reports suggest that senior Hezbollah commander, Ali Moussa Dakdouk, was eliminated in a recent strike. Dakdouk (also spelled Daqduq) orchestrated the 2007 ambush on a U.S. military facility in Karbala, Iraq, resulting in the deaths of five American soldiers.

“Ali Musa Daqduq, a senior Hezbollah commander who held a series of 5 senior positions within Hezbollah,” the IDF said. “Daqduq played a central role in advancing terrorist attacks and combat operations against Israel and IDF soldiers. In 2007, he orchestrated the kidnapping and murder of 5 American soldiers.”

While PM Netanyahu said that “Israel will not tolerate firing at its territory,” President Trump criticized the retaliatory strike

The IDF strike was in direct response to the latest drone attack on Israel. “In response to continued Hezbollah attacks on Israel’s territory, including a terror drone strike this morning, [Prime Minister Netanyahu] … authorized an IDF surgical strike on a Hezbollah terrorist target in the Dahieh quarter of Beirut,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a joint statement. “Israel will not tolerate firing at its territory.”

As Hezbollah continues its campaign of terror, official Israeli sources warned of renewed military operations against the terrorist group in southern Lebanon and Beirut’s Dahieh stronghold. “Israeli officials said Sunday that the strike on Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut’s Dahieh district may not be the last,” Israel’s Ynetnews reported. “The officials said the strike was “critical and is shaping the security concept against Hezbollah in Lebanon.” They noted that senior Israeli officials had already declared that any fire crossing the border from Lebanon into Israel would be met with strikes in Dahieh.”

Amid reports that the U.S. and Iran are close to signing a deal, President Donald Trump criticised the Israeli strike.

“This morning’s attack on Beirut should not have happened, particularly on a special day when we are so close to a Peace Deal with Iran,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Israel has the right to defend itself against threats, but the attack it was responding to was very small and meaningless, nobody was hurt, injured, or killed, and should not disrupt this important process.”

Still waiting on the contents of the deal and how much it is going to hamstring Israel.

We should start a pool for how long until Iran breaks the deal. My guess would be a week. However as long as no one is hurt I guess they can do whatever they want. No blood no foul.

Ok they annoiunced a deal. The only detail I see is immediate stop of hostilities on all fronts. That includes Lebanon even though neither the US nor Iran is fighting directly in Lebanon.

As I have been suggesting all along Trump through Israel under the bus. Iran will continue hostilities with Israel though all its proxies and Trump will push hard on Israel not to retaliate.
I now give it 3 days before a proxy breaks the deal.

The second pool is which proxy will break the deal. Will it be Yemen, Hamas, or Hezbollah. Then again Iran has already announced it will punish Israel for the bombing they did described herein.

Nothing was stated on any other aspects of the deal. If this is all there is than I would say I now understand how Trump went bankrupt 2-4 times,

So, #47 is now going to criticize Israel, for fairly responding to direct attacks on its citizens and soil, by Islamofascist/Muslim terrorist thugs who’ve been attacking it relentlessly, for decades? He is now going to allege that Israel is undermining his worthless “deal” with the duplicitous, deceitful, mendacious and perpetually bad faith Iranian regime, every time it defends itself?

I have rarely criticized #47 and I have given him massive amounts of much-deserved praise, during both of his terms, but he deserves criticism for being suckered by Iran, now, while constraining and criticizing Israel’s right and ability to defend itself.

It’s just as though nothing’s changed.
Iran says they’re willing to make a deal and are ‘washing their hands’ of being the world’s most notorious terrorists yet, just like always, their proxies are carrying on like everybody knew they would.

Iran will lay low for a while, (week, month, who knows how long) refortify, and then we start all over again. In the meantime, the hooties, hezbollah, and gazans will continue the fight with Iran’s backing.
When the iranians get back into it again , they’ll have better, deeper tunnels , more missiles, and probably will be dealing with a milktoast. US president.

Oran.. Iran

Trump needs to stop trying to strangle Bibi and stop saying ridiculous things like Bibi does as he’s told
Bibi is a fighter and his country is surrounded by enemies. Trump is the leader of the strongest , richest Country in the World

Two very different realities

From early reports, the “agreement” is to just stop shooting and open the Strait, with an end to the blockade of Iranian oil. Not quite as blatant as Obama’s pallets of cash, but probably roughly equivalent value. Nothing of consequence otherwise.
