Iran Fires Ballistic Missiles and Drones at Kuwait, Bahrain

Iran’s IRGC “acknowledged that it targeted the headquarters of the 5th Fleet and U.S. military facilities” in Kuwait.

Despite President Donald Trump’s efforts to continue negotiations, Iran resumed unprovoked aerial attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain.

Iran unleashed a barrage of drones and ballistic missiles against U.S. military facilities and civilian targets in adjacent Arab states. “Gulf hostilities flared again on Wednesday as Iranian attacks on Kuwait killed one person, injured at least 63 and damaged the international airport,” Reuters reported. “In Bahrain, the army said it had intercepted three missiles and several drones, as Iran said it had attacked the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in the country, as well as an airbase and helicopters in another, unspecified, regional state.”

U.S. air defense systems intercepted Iranian projectiles and struck missile launch sites near the Strait of Hormuz in defensive action. “U.S. forces successfully defeated multiple Iranian ballistic missiles and drones, and conducted self-defense strikes on Qeshm Island in response to attempted attacks by Iran across the Middle East,” Central Command announced Tuesday night.

U.S. armed forces in the region “remain vigilant and ready to defend against unwarranted Iranian aggression during the ongoing ceasefire,” CENTCOM assured.

One person was killed and dozens were injured when multiple Iranian drones struck Kuwait’s main airport. “Kuwait’s health ministry said Wednesday that ‘a full-scale health emergency was declared’ after at least 63 people were wounded by an Iranian drone and missile attack on the country,” CNBC News reported. “The Kuwaiti foreign ministry confirmed earlier that one person was killed in the Iranian attack.”

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) admitted carrying out the deadly strikes, the AP News reported:

[Kuwait’s] Defense Ministry spokesperson Brig. Gen. Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi said “a number of hostile drones” targeted a passenger building at Kuwait International Airport, which had opened only Monday after a months-long closure because of the war, which began Feb. 28 with U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran.(…)

Kuwait’s Defense Ministry said it destroyed over a dozen missiles and a similar number of drones from Iran. The Foreign Ministry said Kuwait will “neither accept nor tolerate” the attacks and reserves the right to respond. (…)

Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard acknowledged that it targeted the headquarters of the 5th Fleet and U.S. military facilities in another country, but did not name Kuwait.

Following Iran’s lead, its Lebanese proxy terrorist group is targeting Israeli troops and civilians. “Hezbollah has confirmed it fired rockets on Israeli soldiers operating in northern Israel,” Sky News (UK) reported Wednesday. “They targeted the border community of Misgav Am and were intercepted by air defences, according to Israel Defence Forces.”

The attack comes after Israel agreed on Monday to reduce its air and ground operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, following a request from President Trump. Meanwhile, Israeli and Lebanese officials have entered into direct talks in Washington.

Glad to see the cease fire holding.

Now for Trump’s “deal” which has already hamstrung Israel from taking out the trash in Lebanon.

I give #47 and his team huge credit for initiating long overdue reprisals against the Iranian terrorist/Islamofascist regime and global cancer. But, his tying Israel’s hands in Lebanon, per the Iranian regime’s request, is a huge tactical and diplomatic mistake. And, the Iranian regime’s attempt to tie their (mendacious and duplicitous) “deal-making” to Hezb’allah’s terrorist activity in Lebanon, demonstrates — for the umpteenth time — the regime’s perennial and intrinsic bad faith and mendacity. The Iranian regime’s word is utterly worthless.

It is long past time to end the Iran war, now, by reducing every single regime asset, to rubble; the effects on petroleum markets be damned.

Always interesting to get the adolescent point of view. Now go ask your parents what they think.

Hardly “adolescent”, unless you’re partisan hack like Scott Pelley.

Probably not in age, I simply meant obnoxiously superficial and childish in its expression. But we can describe it as TDS deranged if you prefer.

My question, why doesn’t Kuwait or Bahrain respond to attacks from Iran. Is Trump restraining self defense as he is doing with Israel? Trump probably does not understand what is happening and relies on his negotiators who are novices Trump is being backed into a position of failure he cannot escape. He lost the first time he failed to respond with force to Iran’s failure to his demands. He will lose Iran as Johnson lost Vietnam. There is no political negotiation s in war its a matter of win or lose. If Trump fails in Iran, the USA IS LOST! The Democrat-socialists and CCP WILL TAKE CONTROL OF THE USA by political action. It will then be all over. Trump will be removed from office and a Muslim Cleric will be inserted. Trump at this point appears to be following the pattern of prior administrations of abandoning “allies “ we suckered into wars and leaving them in the lurch. A problem of both parties.

Time to start playing above their level and ignore their words…focus on their actions and respond with disproportionate force to quell the threat and end this.

Time to end the pretense and smoke them

Trump cannot afford to stretch this out any longer. Pound them until there is nothing left to pound.

Burn it down!

Finish these goose-stepping, genocidal, fanatical, Jew-hating, Christian-hating and evil Islamofascists/Muslim terrorists, please; once and for all.

There is no substitute for victory.

For the life of me I can’t figure out Trump’s play. Not 24 hours after he does Iran’s bidding in calling off Bibi, Iran attacks. It’s been attack after attack, and shenangans every day in the Strait, and yet Trump clings to some false ceasefire. It’s apparent to anyone with a brain that Iran has zero intention of making a deal. I fail to see why Trump doesn’t finish the job. Tell me it’s 3D chess all you want, but he’s losing me on this issue.

Muslims only negotiate if they can control everything. IRGC will NEVER negotiate by western standards. It’s dragging on – give Netanyahu a free hand and all the military eqt he needs.

Looks like we should be getting help from the locals by now.

Un no, 5 missiles (by the way that all missed) and 3 drones is not a barrage. Sloppy. Or is this nonsense exaggeration intentional?

They can’t be trusted to follow negotiations,
And hope no monetary funds are sent to them because it will only pay to kill Israelis and Americans

So . . . Whatever happened to the concept of FAFO, especially for enemies who are shooting at us?

It’s time to end the negotiations, and just kill the bastards.

Trump doesn’t want to put boots on the ground, but at this point , got to let Israel free to destroy this regime. If we won’t…
It’s apparent the people of Iran have not stood up, probably too many murdered last time around, don’t have ability to, I don’t know, but this is not going well.

Trump needs to SUMMARIZE the number of times he’s and members of his team have tried to get a deal. MUSLIMS WILL NOT DEAL with westerners.

I understand he wants to spare the Iranian populace but the IRGC will not quit. Everywhere, every time – this is Germany and Japan time – I hate to say it but we can be far more specific in our hits – get it over.

That bit about ‘Muslims will not.deal.with Westerners’ isn’t entirely true. One of the oldest, longest standing treaty alliances of the USA is with Morocco, signed in 1786 To be fair, very often the only way to get a decent agreement and/or have the terms honored is operate from a superior position of strength…but that also holds true for most other Nations, not just Muslim Nations.

Iran is run by fanatics and getting an agreement out the regime that they will honor is, IMO, very unlikely without a thorough curb stomping and probably repeated applications to drive home the message that they might not like the ‘deal’ but that they’d rather have the ‘deal’ than be splattered across the ground.
