Trump on Iran: ‘We are on Track to Complete All of America’s Military Objectives Shortly’
“He will highlight the United States military’s success in achieving all of its stated goals prior to the operation…”
President Donald Trump is scheduled to address the nation at 9 PM ET regarding the strikes on Iran.
“He will highlight the United States military’s success in achieving all of its stated goals prior to the operation: destroy Iran’s deadly ballistic missiles and production facilities, annihilate their Navy, ensure their terrorist proxies can no longer destabilize the region and guarantee that Iran can never obtain a nuclear weapon,” an official told Fox News.
The White House’s Rapid Response X account provided a long thread of successes in Iran and hammering home the objectives America wants to achieve in Iran.
March 2: “Our objectives are clear. First, we’re destroying Iran’s missile capabilities… and their capacity to produce brand new ones — pretty good ones they make. Second, we’re annihilating their navy… Third, we’re ensuring that the world’s number one sponsor of terror can never obtain a nuclear weapon… And finally, we’re ensuring that the Iranian regime cannot continue to arm, fund, and direct terrorist armies outside of their borders.”

The last post included a video of Secretary of State Marco Rubio from March 31: “We were going to destroy their air force; we have largely done that. We were going to destroy their navy, which we have largely achieved that. We were going to destroy a significant percentage of their missile launches; we are well on our way to achieving that. And we were going to wipe out their defense industrial base… We are on our way to doing that. Those were our four objectives because those were the four things they were going to hide behind to then develop a nuclear weapon.”

He seems so tired, I really don’t k ow how he does it
Trump sounds tired and raspy.
I hope he takes a break soon. I pray for his health. He’s such a blessing. Trump is literally saving the free world.
Shortest Trump speech ever
Please get 12 hours of sleep Mr President, please
I loathe and detest the Democrats who want only one thing: “get Trump.” Pray for his success and good health.
The lack of even a single European ally being mentioned is as much the point of that message as the thanks to those allies that actually contributed.
Get ready for the next few weeks. The EU is gonna find out that the green new deal is a farce.
Europe is done for. They hate Trump for slowing down their grand leftist globalist plan and they hate him for actually trying to solve problems they haven’t been able to solve, and doing it with relative ease which makes them look bad.
Europe also has a problem with a very sizable voting block who needs to be placated at every opportunity because that group is very militant and doesn’t hesitate to riot at the drop of a burka.
So? They weren’t consulted about starting it. He made the mess now he has to clean it up.
Wars follow the very simple rule: you break it you bought it.
Not a ‘war’, never been declared by Congress as such…however The War Powers Act affords The President clear authority to act when credible threats arise. If ‘Death to America!’ Iran can’t be defined by the naysayers as a credible threat then one could never convince them otherwise. After very president kicked the can around the dithering cul-de-sac we have a President who acts. It is hypocritical that in his first term the MSM demanded he do something about Iran (nuke capability), now as 47 they decry him doing something about Iran (nuke capability ). What changed? Nothing, they’re demented. It is mental to believe PDJT can not act accordingly, or Israel for that matter, who constantly get attacked by these 7th Century nutjob throwbacks…ending these crazies (not the Iranian people) is necessary and righteous.
The EU deserves to get slapped up both sides of their face. They have leeched off the US for decades. Trump is right — let them figure out how to get their oil and meanwhile we close up our NATO operated bases over there. They can defend themselves on their own dime.
100%…past time to play hardball with the feckless cowards who think their offal doesn’t stink. We The People have a President who knows what he is doing in this game of hardball, been dealing with these types his entire life,
NATO became obsolete and unnecessary the moment the Soviet Union dissolved.
No wars don’t have a ‘pottery barn’ rule it is a bogus claim and certainly was not followed historically. It is a modern invention of leftists, a favored argument of the lilliputian Nations and their leftist allies but like the rest of so called international ‘law’ and ‘norms’ is unenforceable b/c those who raise it lack the means to do so.
The European Nations can clean up their OWN mess. The mess of their failure to achieve energy independence by indulging in net zero/green fantasies. Europe is relearning a harsh lesson in the exercise of real power, not their preferred ‘soft power’ which requires the willingness of their opponent to play along. They are in no position to make any meaningful objections to the use of gun boat diplomacy by the USA precisely b/c they scrapped their own gun boats. Now their energy needs are dependent upon the whims of others and they have no means to alter that fact over the short and intermediate term.
blah blah blah Europe.
Meanwhile Consumers in the US are learning a harsh lesson about electing Republicans.
Operation Epic Fiasco with $4.20 gas at the pump is Trumps greatest gift ever to the Democrats at mid-terms.
Iran keeps control of the Straight of Hormuz, steel yourself for eight years of President Good Hair Newsome.
Europe isnt going to step up. Thats a fact. And frankly I wouldnt either if I were Macron or Starmer, because Trump has every incentive to do it himself.
Europe wont help, so Trump needs to clean up the mess he made.
The hubris of those nations to demand we help them then turn around and don’t lift a finger when asked by a President who is solving a decades long problem child do not deserve our help. Israel gets attacked everyday by these heathens, we help them (righteously) when the threat level gets untenable. Others crying in their ‘Earl Gray with milk’ do nothing, while their country gets taken over by the locust swarm. NATO is beyond its extended warranty.
Prager has always summed it up: “If Israel’s enemies laid down their weapons there would be peace…however, if Israel laid down their weapons…they’d be killed.” PDJT knows exactly what he is doing, anyone not on board can go pound sand…or move to Iran, see what reality looks like from outside their ‘safe space’ bubble.
IMO Israel is tangential to the question of US action. The Iranian regime has not just shouted ‘Death to America’ but made good on that by targeting, killing and maiming US Citizens and US service members for nearly five decades. IOW the Iranian regime has more than earned the thorough curb stomping now being delivered by the USA (with much assistance from Israel and a bit of help from a few other Nations in the region) irrespective of the Iranian acts against Israel which is quite capable of defending itself as the modern Nation of Israel has repeatedly shown since ’48.
True CommuChief…yet they are an ally and a small one at that, so we help when asked assuming the ask is relevant. This was, because it also has, and will continue to, affect America when the nutjobs don’t come to their addled senses. Oh well, sucks to be them [under THIS President].
The rule of international law used to be all the thing in Europe. The UN was pretty enamored with it too. Now, when confronted with a serious issue that directly affects countries dependent on the free flow of oil through the strait of Hormuz, all these countries eager to use international law to further all their pet causes (mostly antisemitic) don’t really care about Iranian banditry obstructing hormuz. One almost would think they’re insincere fat corrupted slobs not really interested in the best interests of their own citizens let alone law and order, international or otherwise. But that’s crazy talk.
Major update! There was no update. No timeline for opening the Strait of Hormuz. Oil is up to $108 a barrel this morning. $4.20 gas at the pump. This is rapidly turning into operation Epic Fiasco
First time I recall hearing Trump speak for so long without actually saying anything new. There must have been strong counsel not to excoriate NATO or specific countries/leaders. The markets surely did not like what he did and did not say.
Check the markets again.
He could not have been any more clear, which is why the Eurosnobs, Dimocrats, and other leftists are busy extinguishing each others’ hair.
.
Reuters had a different take on that this morning opining that after Trump’s speech it appears there is no end in sight to the war. They wish.
News outlets are all propagandists, little to nothing of what they purport to be fact, is true. Thinking people can make up their own minds…the Tarlov’s of the world are what I call The Dementors, they believe their own elitist self-aggrandizing pap, therefore should be ignored until they fade into irrelevance.
I’ve supported — and continue to support — most of Trump’s policies, including the attacks on Iran. But his speech last night did nothing to help him with the voters he will need to retain control of congress. Most notably, he emphasized our self sufficiency in oil, but failed to even try to explain why we’re paying $4 per gallon for gasoline. This does not bode well for Trump’s candidates in November.
WSJ headline: “Macron Says Reopening Strait of Hormuz by Force Is Unrealistic”
He ought to put on his wife’s pants.
Does anyone actually care what macaroon says?
If the regime isn’t replaced and the revolutionary rooted out and neutered all Iran will do is build back up and continue. It may take then 10 years to do so but they will. Normally I wouldn’t mind that except that I have no confidence that future presidents will level them again.
This is actually wanted I wanted for Afghanistan. Don’t fight a protracted war. Don’t nation build. Swoop in. Kill as many of the bad guys as you can and then leave. Who cares if you have to do it every 10=15 years or so. Consider it effective training for the military.
I like this plan.
