The IDF troops uncovered a Hezbollah terror tunnel near a church as the Israeli ground offensive intensified in southern Lebanon.
“During IDF operational activity in southern Lebanon, IDF soldiers located active Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure within the vicinity of a church in the area of Al-Khiyam,” the Israeli military disclosed Friday. “During searches conducted in the area, the soldiers exposed and located a tunnel shaft and an underground infrastructure constructed within the church vicinity.”

The discovery highlights Hezbollah’s cynical use of Lebanese Christians as human shields while it wages war on Israel on behalf of Iran.
“During the current searches in the vicinity, the soldiers located three additional shafts constructed by Hezbollah during the ceasefire, indicating renewed use of the site,” the IDF added. “The repeated use of this site demonstrates Hezbollah’s systematic modus operandi of exploiting Lebanese civilians as human shields and deliberately embedding military infrastructure within religious sites and civilian areas.”

The revelation comes as the Israeli military advances deep into the Hezbollah-controlled territory of southern Lebanon. Israeli troops are now fighting Hezbollah terrorists at close quarters and deploying tactics honed while fighting Hamas in Gaza.
“IDF forces are operating deeper in southern Lebanon than before, using tactics refined in Gaza as they battle Hezbollah terrorists in villages, face close-range ambushes and come under heavy daily rocket fire,” Israel’s Ynetnews reported Friday, quoting a battalion commander in the IDF’s Golani infantry brigade.
The Israeli ground operation, led by the battle-hardened troops of the Golani and the 810th Mountain Brigade, aims to drive Hezbollah away from the Israeli border and create a security zone up to the Litani River, a 90-mile natural barrier cutting across southern Lebanon.
“Golani’s combat team launched attacks in villages with the aim of pushing Hezbollah beyond the Litani River, a key river in southern Lebanon that has long figured in Israeli security planning because it lies north of many border communities,” the news outlet added.
Israel was compelled to launch a ground offensive after Iran-backed Hezbollah declared war on Israel. The Lebanese government failed to disarm the Iranian proxy terrorist group, reneging on the commitment made in the 2024 ceasefire agreement.
The IDF, on Friday, warned that if Beirut fails to disarm Hezbollah and demilitarize southern Lebanon, Israel will have to step in. “Contrary to the declaration by the Lebanese government earlier this year – Hezbollah is still operating and conducting attacks from southern Lebanon,” Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin, the IDF’s chief spokesman, said.

Operation Epic Fury (Day 28): Israel hits Iran’s military industrial complex
As the war approaches its one-month mark, Israel has stepped up its efforts to dismantle Iran’s vast military industrial complex. “As part of the wide-scale wave of strikes completed overnight in Tehran,” the military disclosed. “The IDF struck dozens of military industries, launch sites, and operatives from the missile array.”
“Overnight, the Israeli Air Force, acting on IDF intelligence, completed a wide-scale wave of strikes targeting infrastructure belonging to the Iranian terror regime,” the military said. The strikes “further degraded production capabilities and struck dozens of weapons production sites,” the IDF noted.
Besides hitting the regime’s weapons production, the Israeli Air Force also targeted its air defense systems and long-range missile capabilities. “At the same time, the IDF continues to operate relentlessly against the regime’s firepower arrays, with the aim of reducing the scope of launches toward the State of Israel,” the IDF added. “Overnight, a staging and launch complex of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was struck, along with ballistic missile launch sites, air defense systems, and observation posts belonging to both the IRGC and the Iranian military.”
The U.S. military continued strikes on the regime’s military capabilities as it established “the most extensive air defense umbrella in the Middle East,” the Central Command noted.

The IDF, on Friday afternoon, issued an evacuation order for the city of Arak. The northwestern city is home to Iran’s nuclear weapons facility, suggesting an impending airstrike.
Update: The IDF, on Friday evening, confirmed carrying out a strike on Arak nuclear weapons facility.
“The IDF confirms bombing Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor, saying it targeted the “key infrastructure for producing plutonium for nuclear weapons” after Iran worked to restore the site,” The Times of Israel reported.
The IDF vowed to stop Iran from moving ahead with its nuclear weapons program. “The IDF will not allow the Iranian terror regime to continue its efforts to advance its nuclear weapons program, which poses an existential threat to the State of Israel and the entire world,” the Israeli military said following the strike.
Tehran admitted strike on it nuclear weapons infrastructure. “Iran’s foreign minister said Friday that Israeli strikes have expanded to include nuclear facilities and key infrastructure,” Ynetnews reported.

excellent job idf
You know the houses of worship are just magnets for terror tunnels, It’s amazing I tell you.
I’m tired of Muslim terrorists and their Muslim and non-Muslim, leftist/Labour/Dhimmi-crat whitewashers, appeasers, enablers and allies, in the west.
1,400-plus years of Muslim supremacism, belligerence, invasions, conquests, genocides, atrocities, bullying and subversion.
I do think that Israel taking and retaining territory, after being attacked from Gaza and Lebanon, would be morally just and tactically sound.
These Islamofascists/Muslim terrorists need to be taught that their attacks only lead to diminished territory.
and those tunnels led allll the way to nyc
NYC; Boston; Philadelphia; Washington, D.C., Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Portland, OR, Seattle; take your pick.
Terror tunnels are the modern equivalent to the 1488 Spanish armada.
