Faculty Members at U. Wisconsin Donate Massive Amounts of Cash to Democrats Ahead of Midterms

“Right-leaning contributions were minimal in comparison”

This is probably the case at most schools across the country.

Campus Reform reports:

2026 MIDTERMS: University of Wisconsin faculty donations top $1 million, overwhelmingly favor Democrats

Faculty and employees at the University of Wisconsin contributed more than $1 million to political campaigns and committees during the 2026 election cycle, with donations overwhelmingly favoring left-leaning groups, according to an analysis of federal contribution data.

Of the approximately $1,041,088 in total political donations tied to university-affiliated individuals, about $1,025,741—or 98.53%—went to left-leaning committees. In contrast, just $15,347, or 1.47%, was directed to right-leaning groups.

ActBlue, the Democratic fundraising platform, received by far the largest share of contributions, bringing in more than $650,000 from University of Wisconsin donors. Other major recipients included the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and a range of Democratic-aligned candidates and committees at both the state and national levels.

Right-leaning contributions were minimal in comparison, with only small amounts directed to Republican-aligned committees such as WinRed.

The data also highlights the most generous individual donors affiliated with the university, many of whom are faculty members. Joel Rogers, listed as a teacher, was the top contributor with $90,150 in donations. Rogers founded and serves as the director of the High Road Strategy Center, formerly the Center on Wisconsin Strategy, which is described by Influence Watch as a “left-of-center think tank that primarily focuses on union-aligned labor policy.”

Rogers was followed by professor Richard Eisenstein with approximately $31,418 and professor Laura Peracchio with $30,000.

Other top donors included Suzanne Schuler, Theresa Banks, and Helen K. Schaal, all of whom contributed significant sums exclusively to left-leaning committees.

On, Wisconsin? As an alumnus, haven’t given them a cent.

This is news? University faculty and administrators are overwhelmingly far-left moonbats. This has been known for decades.

I’m rather conservative but i refuse to contribute to Win Red on line fundraising. I find h them to be offensive and insulting. Typical email, “swear. To god this is not a request for donation! Just complete survey.” Spend time on the survey and then can’t submit without making a contribution..i will support individual candidates but not when their name appears with Win Ref. As to the University faculty contributions, they must be making outrageous salary to afford those large contributions or is the $$ coming from other sources?
