Mailer Sent to Virginia Tech Students Says Republicans are ‘Rigging’ Elections
“On the mail is a QR code providing ways in which students can support Democrat-backed redistricting.”
Rigging elections? The left calls this a conspiracy theory when anyone on the right talks about it.
Campus Reform reports:
Mail to Virginia Tech students accuses Republicans of ‘rigging’ elections
Mail from Sacramento, California was sent to students at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, arguing that “MAGA Republicans” are sabotaging elections. On the mail is a QR code providing ways in which students can support Democrat-backed redistricting.
A recent Instagram post by Libs of TikTok depicted the pamphlet, which asks student voters to “Vote YES! for fair elections,” before the April 21 election.
The headline of the mail claims Republicans are “rigging” the elections. Scanning the QR code sends users to a campaign website which states, “Trump has pressured Texas, North Carolina, and other states to rig their elections in his favor.”
The website includes the ballot question asking whether the Virginia Constitution should be amended for temporary redistricting to “restore fairness,” and “level the playing field,” while all regular redistricting should resume after the following 2030 census.
In tight statewide races such as Virginia’s 2021 governor’s election, there was only a margin of 63,688 votes, or the 2024 presidential election where the voting margin was 260,310 in Virginia.
Virginia’s higher education student population is sizable enough to be politically significant. According to the Fall 2025 report from the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV), there are around 561,425 currently enrolled students statewide, compared with the state’s overall population of about 8.88 million, as of July 2025.
Since the student population exceeds both of those margin numbers, the university population makes students attractive targets for political outreach in close statewide elections, specifically Virginia Tech, having a notably large amount of students compared to other universities in Virginia.

I stopped supporting Virginia Tech decades ago, when they went far left.
The whole process, in retrospect, started in 1970 with T. Marshal Hahn.
you mean the gop is able to make dem voters not know how to get legit ids? their whole life!!??
Demonrats/communists projecting. Always accuse your opponent of the crimes you are committing.
Rigging them?
We’re not even “fortifying” them!
Don’t let those dastardly Republicans cheat! Demand voter ID!
Can anyone explain how making it harder to cheat constitutes ‘rigging’ unless you’re the ones cheating?
Demand they provide actual evidence and not some generic, vaporware, allegations, spewed by partisan hacks and amplified by a collusive media. Show me the actual language in an actual bill.
Aww now, that would be like pointing out the democrats were the ones who passed the Jim Crow Laws that they claim the Republicans are echoing with voter ID laws.
This mailing doesn’t claim that. That is not what it is talking about, at all. The “rigging” that the Democrats, specifically in Virginia at this time, are complaining about is the redistricting in Texas, North Carolina, and Missouri. That is explicitly the reason they have retaliated in California and are now attempting to do so in Virginia, and this mailing is entirely about urging students registered in Virginia to vote for this attempt in order to balance the “rigging”. It has nothing whatsoever to do with ID requirements or any other Republican effort at election integrity. Dems complain about that too, of course, but not on this occasion.
This is on commercials all over the state. My Hulu account gets them non stop.
Time for website blocker software?
It’s on the smart tv.
Perazzi makes a blocker for those.
Note that the mailing came from “Sacramento, California”. Not an in-state source. Those California folks sure do worry about “fairness” in other states’ politics, don’t they? They want to export the success of their one-party model to the rest of the country.
Election fairness is a California fetish.
James O’Keefe:
Yeah, they got fairness down to a science.
