Iran Denies Agreement With the U.S. After Trump Suggested Deal at Hand
“The Islamic Republic of Iran adheres to its position rejecting any type of negotiations before achieving Iran’s goals from the war.”
Iran denied holding talks with the U.S. hours after President Trump said that both countries had “major points of agreement,” suggesting a possible end to the ongoing military operation.
“Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has rejected the US President’s claims that talks are ongoing with Iran,” the regime-run Mehr news agency reported.
“We have [a] major point of agreement; I would say almost all points of agreement,” President Trump told reporters on Monday morning.
Trump’s full comments:
We have had very, very strong talks. We’ll see where they lead. We have points, major points of agreement, I would say, almost all points of agreement. Perhaps that hasn’t been conveyed. The communication, as you know, has been blown to pieces. They were unable to talk to each other, but we’ve had very strong talks. Mr. Witkoff and Mr. Kushner had them. They went, I would say, perfectly. I would say that if they carry through with that, it will end that problem, that conflict, and I think it will end it very, very substantially.
We have very much in mind our partners in the Middle East. We’ve had great relationships with a lot of them. As you know, a lot of them were surprisingly hit, and I was surprised to see it, and so was everyone else. But we have, they’re very much in mind in the discussions.
So the discussions took place yesterday. They went into yesterday evening. They want very much to make a deal. We’d like to make a deal too. We’re going to get together today by probably phone, because it’s very hard to find a country. It’s very hard for them to get out, I guess. But we’ll at some point very, very soon, meet. We’re doing a five day period. We’ll see how that goes, and if it goes well, we’re going to end up with settling this. Otherwise we’ll just keep bombing our little hearts out.

The Iranian regime promptly rejected the peace overture, with its Foreign Ministry claiming there had been no talks with Washington on the matter.
The BBC reports:
Iran’s foreign ministry has issued a statement, saying: “We deny what US President Donald Trump said regarding negotiations taking place between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Quoted by CBS News, the BBC’s US partner, the foreign ministry adds: “The Islamic Republic of Iran adheres to its position rejecting any type of negotiations before achieving Iran’s goals from the war.”
Iran’s parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who is now among the top regime officials following recent eliminations, called for “complete and remorseful punishment” of the U.S. and Israel. Dubbing the prospect of an agreement “fake news,” he wrote in X that “No negotiations have been held with the US.”

Though Tehran denies holding talks, media reports suggest that the regime is conducting extensive back-channel diplomacy with the United States. While “Iran promptly denied ever having directly with him or through intermediaries,” the British newspaper Guardian observed that it “does not mean the diplomatic track was entirely silent.”
“Turkey, through its foreign minister, Hakan Fidan, and Oman, via its foreign minister, Badr Albusaidi, who are respected in both Tehran and Washington, have been working the phones constantly,” the newspaper added.

There are likely different factions and splinters within Iran right now. The administration was likely speaking to the Speaker of Parliament.
And, the people who reject you today may be gone tomorrow!
Yep, another round of whack-a-mullah
The problem with blowing up all of the people in charge is that there is nobody with the recognized authority to speak for the regime.
The cardboard cutout isn’t even a figurehead.
I kind of wish we did the cardboard cutout schtick with Obama and Biden,
NO agreement? Ok. Let them beatings resume.
No problem. Keep the farce going until the next group of leaders surfaces, and blow them up.
Perhaps Iran can entice Bagdad Bob to come out of retirement and speak for them.
Oh well. I was under the impression that we set out the conditions of victory as ‘unconditional surrender’. Offering to cut the Iranian regime a deal for them or at least one segment of the regime to publicly reject negotiations makes it far easier. There’s nothing to discuss so destroy their infrastructure; electric generation, dams, irrigation, fuel stores, pipelines and killing any leadership wherever we find them.
The only deal that needs to be on the table is unconditional surrender.
I can’t see Trump setting his ego aside and admitting to his colossal blunder.
Nope.
We’re in this one for the long haul.
I don’t think this happened.
I think Trump is trying to find a solution to “blowing” up the infrastructure
He got too much blowback from that and needed an out
Make up Iranians want to talk
No, Iranians want to murder
And the stock market is on the rebound with this little tale
OK… the hard way, then.
These people, if they aren’t careful, are going to “stupid” (read that as a verb) themselves right back to the sixth century from whence their murderous religion came. It’s hard to imagine that’s what the Iranian populace wants.
Be careful what you wish for …
.
Well, the original leaders certainly stupideted themselves out of existence 🤣
This lot may not be far behind them if they keep this up. Somehow I don’t believe that fooling themselves in to believing Trump wont do what he says he’s gonna do lends itself to a life of longevity…as I the original lot of stupid people found out to their own detriment.
“Religion” belongs in quotes when it’s what the moslems have followed since way back then.
The Bombings Will Continue Until Freedom Improves.
“Straight” instead of “Strait,” “witch” instead of “which.” I sometimes wonder if
Trump does these things purposely to give haters something irrelevant to carp about, or maybe it’s proof that he actually wrote the tweets, as no educated person would make those mistakes.
Define “Educated”. I have a BS and mess up homophones all the time. Not those particular ones, but enough.
Be careful with you wording…. people have been fired for using correct English around ignorant people.
Even easier when your phone auto corrects you without asking
“We’re doing a five day period. We’ll see how that goes”
Trump chickened out even earlier than I thought he would.
And then the Iranians are piling on calling him a liar.
Trump has no where to go.
Good thinking Donald.
The primary objective for the Iranian regime is to survive. They would have accomplished this if they had cut a deal. They could have just ignored the deal afterwards. Such stupidity, You would think they were democrats.
Not only are they surviving they have put the economy in a screeching halt.
So what’s next for Trump?
After it took him less than a half a day to chicken out from bombing Iran’s energy plants what’s he got next?
And why isn’t Trump opening up the strait of Hormuz if it’s so easy like Trump claims?
Trump’s Presidency Is in a Death Spiral
Lakshya Jain: “Trump’s numbers on the economy are radioactive. Every major demographic group of voters disapproves of his economic stewardship, including supermajorities of young and nonwhite voters. He’s even underwater on this issue with white, non-college voters, a group he won in 2024 by more than 20 percentage points.
……..it is difficult to see a way in which an aging Trump can escape the death spiral that has enveloped his presidency.”
good move iran
the msm will not be or become maga and now the iranians prove once again
they want war
The 5 day deadline ends just as thousands of Marines land at CENTCOM.
Iran thinks its winning. They think that time is on their side, that US will back down, and they plan to inflict maximum economic damage. I am not sure that there are talks. Who in the Iranian govt is there to negotiate with, anyway? If there are talks this is a delaying tactic.
I stand by my forecast that the Marines will take Kharg within 2 weeks.
“I stand by my forecast that the Marines will take Kharg within 2 weeks.”
Then what?
Then we prove to them that their Twelver Cult is no match for a Khargo Cult.
The need to realise they are not dealing with Democrats.
That’s exactly why we are bombing infrastructure, not just assassinating their leaders.
So, not talks, and if talks, then to no avail, huh? Is that it? Kill them all and let Allah sort them out. When there’s no one left to discuss it with … well, it will save everyone time.
LMAO at the reporter’s statement “Iran denies agreement…”
Hell, there isn’t anybody left in Iran with the authority to claim anything, let alone any agreement or not.
