“Melania” Film Review: A Story of Beauty and Kindness

“Melania” Film Review: A Story of Beauty and Kindness

Recently, my son and I saw the film “Melania” — and loved every minute of it. It was mesmerizing to observe the meticulous attention to detail the First Lady showed in day-to-day business and in preparing for the 2025 Inauguration. The beauty and elegance of the selected outfits, the exquisitely planned candle-lit dinners, and the sophisticated ambiance of the iconic buildings featured in the movie were nothing short of aristocratic. They brought to mind the Kennedys’ Camelot Era, with a powerful new promise of an American Golden Age.

What I found even more fascinating, however, was the First Lady’s humanity, composure, and kindness in treating everyone she interacted with. She is clearly loved and admired by her staff. Whether trying on a dress with her designer and seamstress or singing along to Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” with her chauffeur, the mutual affection and respect were genuine.

It was intriguing to watch Melania’s video call with Brigitte Macron on the topic of protecting children from harmful online exposure. One of the most moving parts of the film was the visit by Aviva, an Israeli hostage taken on October 7, 2023, who was in agony over the fate of her husband, Keith, also kidnapped by Hamas but not yet returned. Thanks to diplomatic efforts with Melania’s help, the husband and wife were finally reunited after their harrowing captivity.

The film also resonated with me on a profoundly personal level. Aristotle was among the first thinkers to emphasize the cathartic effect of drama on the audience. Evoking empathy is a clear sign of a film’s success. I could not help but empathize with Melania’s life story. I happen to be of a similar age, born and raised in Southeast Europe, married to an amazing American man, with a comparable age difference and a young son to be proud of. I was moved to tears by Melania’s grief for her mother and involuntarily reminisced about my own mom’s passing. The First Lady’s visit to St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York and the spontaneous benediction the priest offered were among the most poignant and solemn moments in the film.

Unsurprisingly, the movie received skyrocketing ratings but unfavorable reviews from critics. The American people, especially salt-of-the-Earth common-sense individuals, are bound to love the film, while many critics happen to be intellectual snobs with a strong leftist bias, whose opinion reflects their political views even if cleverly disguised. Theodore Roosevelt famously said in “The Man in the Arena”: “It is not the critic who counts.”

The Melania movie is a must-see — it is a visual feast of beauty, sophistication, and kindness.

She is a wonderful asset to America and the film is a terrific introduction to her accomplishments. We are blessed to have her.

The left should be ashamed of their treatment of this remarkable woman but they are incapable of shame and, paraphrasing Marx (Groucho) I wouldn’t want to be complimented by people so undeserving of being complimented.

The Left hates her for two reasons:

    1. Her association with Trump.
    2. Her obvious superiority to Big Mike.

Although she and DJT have sordid pasts, redemption is always possible, if the person repents, then quietly and modestly goes about doing good things. But if they put on airs and act as if they’re the model couple for a new Golden Age, then they deserve contempt.

Trump has a sordid past. She doesn’t.

As an Epstein bimbo? That’s pretty sordid for most people.

Your answer to one of my previous posts was a gem:

          <>

Nothing sleazy about the pictures; just ask the guy who made money off of it.

That’s pretty bad thinking even for THIS comment section.

moonmoth in reply to Milhouse. | February 15, 2026 at 6:10 pm

Sorry; here’s what I meant to include:

From Millhouse: “There was nothing sleazy about {about the Melania nude photos], as the photographer in your own linked story attests. ”

          And as I responded,

“Nothing sordid about the pictures; just ask the guy who made money off of it.
Wow, Millhouse, that’s pretty bad even for THIS comment section.”

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | February 15, 2026 at 8:36 pm

You have no basis for calling her “an Epstein bimbo”, or a bimbo of any kind. Modelling is an honest trade; models are not bimbos, and they are not sleazy.

Moonmouth. Literally EVERYTHING you post is lies, speculation, rumor, or hearsay. You’re a garbage poster.
          You should leave.

What would be interesting to see would is the questioning of Melania as a possible witness to Epstein’s crimes. BTW, for all you Trump groupies who are trying to win the “D vs R” battle over the Epstein scandal, you might like to know that at least on line, the prevailing sentiment is “D or R doesn’t matter. All pedo protectors are the common man’s enemy.”

Actually, it would not be interesting at all. Perhaps to TDS cultists that will turn any matter into an illustration of pathology. Sicko!

Dimsdale in reply to moonmoth. | February 14, 2026 at 10:09 pm

Well, the victims of Epstein all said, to a person, that PRESIDENT Trump never did anything untoward. The prosecuting DA’s said that PRESIDENT Trump was the ONLY politician/celebrity that turned state’s witness against Epstein, and certainly frog marched him out of MAL.

So, yes, and interview with Melania would likely prove illuminating, but not in the way the proglodytes would like. Or imagine, actually. That said, the bulk, if not all, of the guests that “enjoyed” Epstein’s “hospitality” seem to be Demsocialists. Regardless, pedos need punishing.

“The prosecuting DA’s said that PRESIDENT Trump was the ONLY politician/celebrity that turned state’s witness against Epstein”. But more recently, Trump claimed that he (Trump) didn’t know anything about Epstein’s crimes. How can you have you forgotten that? When a reporter asked Leavitt about that contradiction, she replied that Trump was moving on from Epstein.

That tone-deaf answer was the talk of the Internet for a few days, until Bondi topped it with the “DOW is over 50k” meltdown.

You Trump groupies need to face reality: the more that comes out in the Epstein files, the more people despise Ds and Rs alike.

He didn’t know anything. How could he have known? He knew what everyone in those circles knew, that Epstein was bad news.

moonmoth in reply to Milhouse. | February 15, 2026 at 4:21 pm

“How could he have known?” A better question is, “How could he and Melania NOT have known?”

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | February 15, 2026 at 5:33 pm

How could they have known? What information would either of them have had? What connection did Melania even have with Epstein, other than as a friend (and then former friend) of her boyfriend/husband?

moonmoth in reply to Milhouse. | February 15, 2026 at 6:12 pm

“What connection did Melania even have with Epstein?”

Oh come off it, Millhouse. Emails between her and Ghislaine show that they were extremely close.

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | February 15, 2026 at 8:42 pm

Emails between her and Ghislaine show that they were extremely close.

No, they don’t. Only one message has been released, from 2002, and it doesn’t show any kind of close connection. It shows a normal casual acquaintanceship, such as a woman would likely have with her boyfriend’s friends’ girlfriends. There’s no reason to believe that she knew either Epstein or Maxwell in any other context, let alone that she had any idea what the two of them were up to.

What would be MORE interesting would be seeing you inserted into a woodchipper.
The prevailing sentiment is more along the line of “gee, look at all the Democrats implicated in the Epstein files! And hey, how about that Kathryn Ruemmler. Isn’t she a real peach!”
Get the hell out of here, you idiot.

You might be surprised to know that your opinion on what makes for the common laws of humanity is not important to almost anyone in any social sphere.

you might like to know that at least on line, the prevailing sentiment is “D or R doesn’t matter.
    _________________________________________________________________________

and YOU are able to discern the ” prevailing sentiment ” of all the people online?–bullshit

leaving all the politics out of it and just comparing melania to her two predecessors (jill and mike} the difference in them as PEOPLE is galactic in scope–stupid as you are, even a child could discern that jill and mike aren’t in the same universe when it comes to grace, kindness and genuine humanity

but then your self-loathing is apallingly evident–sucks to be you

Sorry for the typo: “would BE the questioning of Melania”

In a class by her own. Jackie would be a good runner up though propped up by the Kennedy Aura.

Excellent review, Nora.

Here is the review I wrote after seeing “Melania” last week:

I HIGHLY recommend the movie “Melania.” The movie documents First Lady Melania Trump’s very personal preparation for and attendance at the January 20, 2025 Inauguration right through to the morning after.

I went to the local AMC theater here on the West Side of Los Angeles mainly to review the reviewers. The difference between Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer (i.e., professional critics) rating (8%) and its Popcornmeter (i.e., audience members) rating (99%) ratings is startling.

Either (1) the professional critics en masse are emotionally immature people suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome or (2) the audiences have been made up only of devout Trump lovers who will not leave politics aside.

The answer is (1).

The theater was full. All adult ages were present. Three students from Pepperdine sat just to my right. Everyone enjoyed it.

“Melania” is fast-paced and is FASCINATING. A lot of “behind the curtain” stuff.

I can see why progressive Democrats would resent this movie. They would be like the mother of an ex-fiancé of a guy named Maurice watching the documentary of the mother of Maurice’s new bride (“Jenny”) planning and attending Jenny and Maurice’s wedding.

So, I say, for this movie rely on the Popcornmeter.

Not listed in my state yet! Can’t wait

She’s Zsa Zsa to me. Famous for being famous. Tiresome accent.

Just think if Harris had won. We could all be treated to the cinematic release of “Doug- how one man’s beauty grace, and style brought a glorious new look to the Whitehouse.”

During Trumps first visit to Europe way back in his first administration the Democrat media virtually blacked out Melania and her engagement with children, speaking in their own language because the last thing the Democrats media wanted was people seeing the contrast between Mrs Trump and Mrs Obama.

Loved the movie for the insights it provided into the life of the First Lady.
Her life is filled with responsibilities that most are unaware of and take for granted. It’s not all glitz and glamour like some would like to think. Melania does a beautiful job handling being subjected to public scrutiny whatever she does. Glad to see her getting the positive attention she never got in the first term.

Where exactly does one go to hear the “talk of the Internet,” you execrable slag of colon crust?
