The Winooski School District disabled its website due to massive backlash after the district raised the Somali flag.
The district raised the Somali flag to show solidarity with the Somali community due to the intense criticism from the alleged fraud scheme in Minnesota.
Winooski School District spokeswoman Miriam Greenfield said, “We did receive a significant number of racist and hateful messages, many of which specifically referenced the Somali flag and Somali community members.”
Then don’t raise the Somali flag! The allegations in Minnesota are serious.
However, you can criticize all you want. But don’t leave those messages or threaten them.
There are stupid people out there so I am not shocked if people actually left those kind of messages.

One obvious point – when has it been the place of schools for children to take positions on social or political avenues? Shut up and and teach Johnny to read.
Much of this nonsense started up after the teacher unions gained control over the schools. I also fault the parents for ceding this control.
Not just Parents. The public schools belong to all taxpayers in the community. Sure, Parents are the trip wire but if more folks without children in the public schools would get involved proactively v reactive much of the lefty/wokiesta nonsense would be halted in planning before it was implemented and some even discarded before then b/c the school boards would understand the community has no tolerance for extreme Cray Cray policies.

When I was in grad school, some of the classes were at a satellite location and we shared a break room with education majors. The gap in the intellectual level conversation of the business and engineer majors vs the education majors was astonishing huge.
I’m certain that Schools of Education can actually lower a student’s IQ.
In law school I dated a girl getting her MA in Education. While I’d be pouring over books writing out/keeping briefs for cases she’d sit at the same table literally making themed poster boards to decorate a classroom. We ended up spitting over it b/c I asked straight out is this all y’all do and she got very hostile.
The average IQ in Somalia is below 70. I can see why communists want to show solidarity with them.

Of course not. The school system is just standing with the 1% of innocent Somalis whom the other 99% give a bad name.
“Showing solidarity with…” and other examples of virtue signaling do nothing to advance the ultimate mission of public schools, which is to prepare children and young people to be productive members of society. Unfortunately, that is an assignment at which the majority of schools routinely fail miserably. This is an example of why.
We don’t send our children to school to be trained as activists.
Whichever district employee(s) thought this was a good idea exhibited abysmal judgment and should be terminated immediately.
They were showing their true loyalty. Those DFL campaigns don’t fund themselves.
Public Education– er, Government Schools, are worse than a failure. The entire edifice needs to be destroyed. Replaced carefully, ruthlessly eliminating anyone and anything contaminated by the sociopathic mass mind virus called DEI and all its variants. And meanwhile in a different school district they tried to ARREST A STUDENT FOR TRESPASSING for flying an AMERICAN flag on his own truck in the parking lot, and he was forced to take it to court.

Where and when did this happen? I’ve searched for it and not found such a story. I’ve found the cases of Cameron Blasek in IN, Caleb Horst in OK, Christopher Hartless in VA, none of whom were ever arrested, or even threatened with arrest, none of whom were ever accused of trespassing, and none of whom ever went to court.
I found a bullshit story on facebook by some account called “Conservative Twins”, which had no details at all. That seems to be what you’re referring to.
I believe this to be referring to Parker Jensen of Maryland from a story in April ’25 . He asked the HS to follow Maryland law and display the US Flag in each classroom. School administration and teachers refused and suspended him. Then according to him engaged in more retaliatory harassment. He went to the School board offices to serve notice of his lawsuit. He was in a publicly accessible area and recording his interaction. There wasn’t any notice posted about not recording, the staff told him he couldn’t record based on District policy, then called LEO when Jensen declined to stop recording. He was issued a criminal trespass notice not to return to District property.
So nothing to do with anyone “flying an AMERICAN flag on his own truck in the parking lot”.
In fact the incident didn’t even happen at school, it was at the school district’s offices.
Also, Jensen was not arrested. He was suspended for a week, sued, and the district settled.
Maybe a simple straightforward solution would be for the best; flying/displaying prominently any Flag other than the US Flag, State Flag and a service branch flag for DoD Schools and maybe also for communities with a large military base with perhaps the only other allowed flag being the POW/MIA flag…other than those then automatically lose eligibility for Federal funding for any program, grant, matching fund, contract doesn’t matter. Write that into next appropriation bill as a requirement for participation for all entities. It wouldn’t prevent any expression, just attach a direct consequence based on neutral application of traditional standard.

I don’t see the Somali flag as one of the flags the state lists protocols for flying from govt. flag poles. The district seems to have violated state rules.
Turns out, Liberals never had a problem financing terrorism, they just wanted black people to do it for themselves.

I was seeing a video that the Left had started a COLOR REVOLUTION in the USA as they have done in other Western Countries when Trump ran in 2024, but it was stopped as Blacks and Hispanics voted for Trump. This is still happening with the Left, Dems, the Education Class, and illegals in our country with the push at ICE, Judicial lack of following laws, and crime rampant. Vermont showing Somali Flag at a school just shows how this is being put into lower grades. The Left is planning to continue to expand their activities to the midterms and 2028.
