UPDATE – Hamas Gives “Yes, But” Response To Peace Deal, Trump Celebrates
WAJ update: I hope I’m wrong, but it looks like Hamas managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
President Donald Trump has given Hamas until Sunday evening to agree to his 20-point peace plan for Gaza or face “all hell”.
“If this last chance agreement is not reached, all hell, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday. “There will be peace in the Middle East one way or the other,” he declared.
The Gaza-based terrorist group has to accept the deal by 6 p.m. Washington time on Sunday.

President Trump reminded Hamas terrorists in Gaza, and those who are hiding abroad, of their precarious situation. They were “surrounded and MILITARILY TRAPPED, just waiting for me to give the word, ‘GO,’ for their lives to be quickly extinguished. As for the rest, we know where and who you are, and you will be hunted down, and killed,” he wrote.
According to the president, there is only one way out for Hamas terrorists holding 48 remaining hostages — out of whom only 20 are believed to be alive — since October 7, 2023: “Release the hostages, all of them, including the bodies of those that are dead, now!”
NBC News reported:
President Donald Trump said he’s giving Hamas until 6 p.m. Sunday to accept the ceasefire proposal his administration offered this week to end the war in Gaza.
“If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas,” Trump wrote Friday in a lengthy post on Truth Social.
Trump said earlier this week that he would give Hamas three to four days to respond to the plan, which Israel has backed. Qatar, which had been helping faciliate peace efforts, said it was delivered to a Hamas delegation on Monday evening by Qatari and Egyptian officials.
The president claimed 25,000 members of Hamas have been killed following the militant group’s Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack on Israel. He also suggested that he would “give the word” on whether to further decimate the group, though U.S. forces are not in Gaza.
“Most of the rest are surrounded and MILITARILY TRAPPED, just waiting for me to give the word, ‘GO,’ for their lives to be quickly extinguished. As for the rest, we know where and who you are, and you will be hunted down, and killed. I am asking that all innocent Palestinians immediately leave this area of potentially great future death for safer parts of Gaza,” he said.
But then he said that Hamas would be given “one last chance!”
“THIS DEAL ALSO SPARES THE LIVES OF ALL REMAINING HAMAS FIGHTERS!” he wrote. “The details of the document are known to the WORLD, and it is a great one for ALL! We will have PEACE in the Middle East one way or the other. The violence and bloodshed will stop. RELEASES THE HOSTAGES, ALL OF THEM, INCLUDING THE BODIES OF THOSE THAT ARE DEAD, NOW!”
On Monday, visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to the 20-point Gaza peace plan at a White House meeting with President Trump. On Tuesday, the president gave Hamas “three or four days” to respond to his offer. “We’re just waiting for Hamas, and Hamas is either going to be doing it or not. And if it’s not, it’s going to be a very sad end,” he told reporters.
According to the plan, “Gaza will be a deradicalised terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbours.” Hamas terrorists will have to “decommission their weapons” and “will be given amnesty” or “safe passage” out of Gaza in return. They will also return “all hostages, alive and deceased,” who have been languishing in Gaza captivity for nearly two years.
With Hamas gone, Gaza “will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Gaza,” the document says.
The Trump peace plan has the support of all Muslim and Arab nations, including Qatar, which provides a haven for Hamas’s terrorist leadership abroad.
IDF foils Hamas raid on Gaza humanitarian zone
While Washington and Jerusalem are working together to bring about peace, Hamas tried to attack Gaza residents who had moved to safe zones as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a ground operation in Gaza City. On Wednesday, Hamas fired rockets at southern Israel.
“Today (Friday), an IAF aircraft, directed by IDF troops, IDF Intelligence Directorate, and the ISA, eliminated an armed Hamas terrorist cell of approximately 20 terrorists who attempted to carry out a raid against Gazan residents in the Humanitarian Area in the southern Gaza Strip,” the Israeli military disclosed in a press release.
The attacking Hamas terrorists even tried to use children as human shields. “After the strike, an aircraft identified several terrorists attempting to exploit Gazan children as human shields,” the IDF said. “The terrorists were eliminated a few minutes afterward, without harming the uninvolved civilians who were held by them.”
Hamas has been threatening and attacking civilians who are trying to leave Gaza City for safe zones designated by the Israeli military. “In recent weeks, the IDF has identified repeated attempts by the Hamas terrorist organization to prevent residents from moving south to the Humanitarian Area, while brutally exploiting the civilian population as human shields for terrorist activities,” the IDF added. “In spite of Hamas’ activities, so far over 870,000 residents have evacuated south from Gaza City.”
UPDATE (BY WAJ)
I hope I’m wrong, but it looks like Hamas managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. More on this tomorrow when we hear the Israeli reaction and perhaps learn more details.
I read the Hamas statement. It does not accept critical parts of Trump's plan, such as disarming or excluding Hamas from any role in Gaza's future.
This is a "no." It is a clever response that dangles the release of hostages so Israel and the US will be blamed for rejecting… pic.twitter.com/P4zxm0a2EO

Bottom line: Hamas lives to fight another day. https://t.co/Y2uYBJeV7T

Hamas is basically saying no, but in the smartest and least negative way possible.
Yes to hostages but no mention of disarming or not governing Gaza, which are core tenets of the Trump proposal.— Jonathan Conricus (@jconricus) October 3, 2025
President Donald J. Trump shares a powerful message in response to Hamas' statement regarding his peace plan:

Let us hope that the end is near. Either crush Hamas and install new leadership or allow them surrender and go into exile.
I pray that some of the hostages and still alive and can be rescued just don’t have high expectations.
Go into exile where, exactly. Nobody wants these anywhere. They have quite the history of causing problems for any country that invites them in. And that’s why they are the pariahs of the Middle East.
Qatar.
How many last chances are there going to be?
As many chances as necessary before Hamas runs out of Jews to kill. Then it’ll all be theirs for the taking.
I think this is his fourth doomsday threat to Hamas and none have been carried out. Either kill them all or get out of the way and let Israel do it!
Hell yes
Ditto!
Trump’s ego won’t allow him to step aside and allow Israel to do what is necessary to secure the safety of Israel and Israeli citizens. And he certainly won’t do it for Israel. So we get another Peace Agreement that will be quickly violated by Hamas once they regroup, rearm, and plan their next attacks against Israel.
Seeing how Earth is on the brink of WWIII it seems prudent for the West to go ahead and break the ice with extreme prejudice.
Sunday Sunday, can’t quit that day, Sunday Sunday will never be the same.
Reports say that lefty has given in!!!
PRAISE ALLAH
Al Jazeera reported Friday that Hamas delivered its response to President Donald Trump’s peace plan, hours after the president gave the terror group a deadline of 6:00 p.m. ET on Sunday or else face total destruction.

Hamas would be very well advised not to fail to deliver the hostages and the remains. I suspect the Trump WH will not be restrained if Hamas tries to play a game with turning them over.
What is Trump smoking these days? “Lasting peace??” Yeah it’ll last less then 24 hours and be broken by Hamas.
Unless Trump finds the right autocrat to rule Gaza and backs him.
If he does this autocrat could start changing the education system there to make a future peace.
Trump usually speaks in hyperbole and is to be taken seriously not literally but there is a chance Trump could manage what he is saying.
I wonder if Trump was fascinated by Crazy Eddie’s print ads growing up. He writes all of his stuff just like that.
Crazy Eddie will not be undersold. I remember his TV ads from the 70s which coincidentally when I first read about Trump.
Another suckers’ deal. The Hamassholes will do what they always do.
Yes, they will. They will go along with any peace deal until they’ve regrouped, rearmed, and have firm plans in place to attack Israel once again. And then they’ll do it with even more savagery and barbarity than display on Oct. 7th because they know the attack on Israel will be a do or die situation for themselves. All or nothing. And Hamas will choose to die (it’s part of their religion dontcha know) and take as many Jews as they can with them. Guaranteed.
Hmm. If Israel gets all the hostages back then there will be nothing holding them back from the annihilation of terrorists in Gaza
My thought as well.
Trump will hold them back. And probably their own High Court and DOJ, who are the real government and have complete veto power over the elected “government”.
I fear Pres. Trump is creating a new threat by legitimizing a Palestinian state following the savagery that kicked this situation off. He’s creating Trumpistan from which future attacks on the west will come from.
