U. Delaware Student-Run TV Network Gives Special Thanks to ‘Charlie Kirk’s Killer’

“the video was uploaded to YouTube the evening of Sept. 25 and replaced with a version that omitted the credits the following afternoon”

The University of Delaware’s student-run television network (STN49), recently ran a credit at the end of a supposed ‘comedy’ show which gave a special thank you to “Charlie Kirk’s Killer.”

Not only is this outrageous, it is coming from the same progressive types of college students who claim that the mere presence of conservatives on a college campus makes them ‘feel unsafe.’

People should be expelled over this. For the simple sake of decency.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

University of Delaware Student-Run TV Network Offers ‘SPECIAL THANKS’ to ‘CHARLIE KIRK’S KILLER’

A student television network at the University of Delaware, which houses the Biden Institute, offered “SPECIAL THANKS” to “CHARLIE KIRK’S KILLER” at the end of a comedy program, then quickly and quietly removed the joke from the episode.

The credits for last week’s episode of the Biweekly Show, a student comedy program produced under the university’s supervision, included a “special thanks” section with entries like “COCAINE,” “AMNESTY WEEK,” “VIOLENCE”—and “CHARLIE KIRK’S KILLER.”

Delaware Republican Party executive director Nick Miles told the Washington Free Beacon the video was uploaded to YouTube the evening of Sept. 25 and replaced with a version that omitted the credits the following afternoon. The episode does, however, still include another dark jab at Kirk, who was assassinated on Sept. 10 while speaking at a Utah college.

“More like ‘Charlie Twerk’ the way that ass dropped,” the show’s host, Reed Stoltz said. Student actors playing President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, a drunken Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and two soldiers barge in, throwing him on a table and putting a sack over his head. A student portraying second lady Usha Vance joins and says, “Charlie’s body isn’t even cold yet, have some respect.”

While the network, STN49, is student-run, it’s supervised by the University of Delaware’s Department of Communication. Adjunct faculty member Carlos Hervas serves as adviser and studio manager for the student network, according to the network’s bylaws.

The Delaware Republican Party released this statement:

In a recent episode of The Bi-Weekly Show, an SNL-style program produced under the University’s supervision, the end credits included a “Special Thanks to Charlie Kirk’s Killer.” After students began drawing attention to it, the video was quietly deleted and reuploaded with the reference removed. Sources indicate that the department sought to have the matter “go away quietly.”

“This program operates under faculty oversight, with taxpayer-funded resources, and carries the University’s stamp of approval,” said Nick Miles, Executive Director of the Delaware Republican Party. “For something like this to make it on air is both disturbing and unacceptable.”

“As an alumnus of the University of Delaware, I find this especially troubling,” said Gene Truono, Chairman of the Delaware Republican Party. “When I was a student, there was a level of civility and respect that would never have allowed something like this to be broadcast. The University owes its students, parents, and alumni real answers. Our state’s flagship university must take immediate action to investigate this incident, identify who allowed it, and ensure that nothing like this ever happens again. Silence and cover-ups cannot replace accountability.”

The Delaware Republican Party emphasized that political bias and calls to violence have no place in taxpayer-supported institutions. The Party is calling on the University of Delaware to launch a transparent investigation, release the findings to the public, and implement measures to prevent future incidents.

Sorry college students, you don’t get to advocate for safe spaces and claim conservative speakers on campus make you feel unsafe, then turn around and mock conservative assassination victims, especially at a taxpayer funded school. We’re done.

I hope President Trump makes the University of Delaware a new special project.

“People should be expelled over this. For the simple sake of decency.”

That pretty much sums it up.

Why should they be expelled. Yes, it was a reprehensible thing to do but really, that a-hole Kimmel is back on the air after he made reprehensible comments about Kirk with no real punishment so why should these students be expelled. Nope, they’ll most likely get a reprimand and warning not to do it again. That is all.

Jimmy Kimmel is not funded with public money.

The university is a private university but they do get government funding.

I did a brief internet search. The University of Delaware is a land-grant college meaning it is a public university. The student television network should be disbanded. They knew better.

So we shouldn’t have even bothered pulling Kimmel off the air for his idiotic comments at all? But it’s beyond the pale that some ignorant students put “Charlie Kirk’s Assassin” on the credit line so must be immediately expelled from university? Yeah, a really stupid thing to put on the credit line but expel them for it? Hardly.

What ABC does with Kimmel has nothing to do with this situation. After the contamination of civility right now, it’s shocking that they made even a tiny gesture toward removing Kimmel.

Society has always agreed there are lines that decent people don’t cross in speech.

Celebrating murder is one of those lines. Right now, the left feels that speaking ill of conservative dead is cool, but they would scream to the housetops if those same students had used the n****r word or said that it’s soupercool that large numbers of urban blacks are killed every week in Chicago.

We don’t have to acquiesce to the left’s lack of values.

Nah. Its not a big enough deal IMO.

Let’s not be trolled by lightweights the way the left is.

    Bring on more sombreros

We’re swinging a big cancelhammer now, purely due to Charlie’s momentum. But what these kids did (hey — they put the killer in a list of BAD THINGS) is way milder than what Kathy Griffin did, and Kathy’s career suffered no apparent ill effects. (Not clear how any WOULD be apparent.)

Operation “Let Them Speak” is proving to be a wise choice.

Lucifer Morningstar | October 3, 2025 at 9:37 am

Whatever. They let that a-hole Kimmel off the hook for his offensive remarks. So can’t see this going anywhere except for perhaps a reprimand and warning not to do such an idiotic thing again.

Crush this cultural sadism where ever it is found. It WILL NOT be tolerated.

Expel all students involved. Blacklist them. Make them unemployable. Banish them to the darkest margins of society!

Then go after the comm dept. academic advisor. Fire him! Blacklist him. Make him unemployable.

Lastly, claw back any and all federal funding for U. Delware related to the comm dept.

Actions have consequences. This cultural sadism WILL NOT be tolerated.

Yet more proof that the entire “education” establishment in this country is totally corrupted.

Shut it down. Fire the staff. Raze the buildings. Plow the land. Plant corn.

the left has declared war on civility since their creation

how is it that the names of these warriors are not exposed??

the left controls america>>>unbelievable

Too me this is just more proof that the left has not only has no sense of humor, but doesn’t understand humor. No doubt the kids thought they were being edgy, and that that is funny. They were wrong. There should be consequences to help them understand.

“There should be consequences to help them understand.”

That would ideally be a function of an institution of higher learning. However instruction in morality has been replaced with instruction in immorality. All human institutions eventually become corrupted. Their successes attract corrupt people, who then corrupt the institutions.

It is unlikely they can be redeemed, and so must be replaced.

stella dallas in reply to Obie1. | October 3, 2025 at 9:15 pm

    That is not humor.

Joe Biden’s adopted home state and alma mater. Delaware is under a Democrat supermajority and they rubber-stamp anything they want. There are a fair number of Republicans and conservatives but they are drowned out by leftists. Newark has protests of mostly elderly people every weekend protesting the bad orange man. UD is fairly sane compared to other colleges but there are still plenty of people like this.

Wish they would do an Alex Jone on these people.

If you didn’t know why you needed to care about the education system congratulations on the alert from this.

We aren’t even discussing how to keep Gen Z from being indoctrinated socialists now the topic is Gen Alpha.

Some Red States are finally waking up decades late at least.
