Cincinnati Police Chief Chastises Journalists: Social Media Videos Depict Only ‘One Version’ of Attack
“Cincinnati Police Chief Terri Theetge seems to have a personal problem with white people, specifically white men.”
Those who rely on the liberal media may not have heard about the brutal assault of a white couple by a group of predominantly young black individuals in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Friday night. Had the races been reversed, of course, videos of the attacks would have played on an endless loop.
As negligent as the media was in covering this story, an equally troubling issue was the unusually long delay between the incident and the response by local law enforcement.
On Monday afternoon, Cincinnati Police Chief Terri Theetge finally spoke to the press. After briefing reporters on the status of the case, she turned to her audience. Directing a sharp, accusatory gaze toward the reporters gathered before her, she said:
Another topic I want to cover real quick — social media and journalism and the role it plays in this incident, and yes guys, that’s you. That is you.
Social media, the posts that we have seen, does not depict the entire incident.
That is one version of what occurred. At times, social media and mainstream media and their commentaries are a misrepresentation of the circumstances surrounding any given event.
That causes us some difficulties in thoroughly investigating the activity and enforcing the law. Social media posts and your coverage of it distorts the context of what actually happened, and that makes our job more difficult.
One reporter asked the obvious question: “What was distorted?”
Theetge replied, “Yeah, so I think the irresponsibility with social media is it just shows one side of the equation quite frequently without context, without factual context. And then people run with that, and then it grows legs. And it becomes something bigger that we then have to try to manage as part of the investigation.”
She never specified which facts had been distorted, but with that, she turned to another reporter for the next question.
Rumors circulating on social media suggest that, prior to the attack, the victim may have slapped a black man in the face. Did that incident provoke a mob to brutally assault a white man and his female companion?
If so, did the police chief view that alleged provocation as justification for the brutal response that followed?
Well, we don’t know. What is clear, however, is that Theetge appeared deeply concerned about the optics of a black group violently attacking a white couple.
UNBELIEVABLE-
Cincinnati Police Chief Terri Theetge is now attempting to downplay the attack on a group of white people at a jazz festival by black individuals. Naturally, the public is interested in understanding what happened. We typically rely on both local and national media, as well as local law enforcement, to provide us with accurate and timely information when things like this occur. But when those institutions fail to fulfill their responsibilities to keep the public informed—particularly when the details of a case don’t align with their preferred narratives—it’s no surprise that people turn to social media to fill in the gaps.
The police chief should have saved her condemnation for the thugs responsible for this vile act.
As it turns out, this wasn’t the first time her left-leaning positions have drawn criticism.
Theetge made headlines just two months ago. At the time, Newsweek reported:
Four veteran members of the Cincinnati Police Department filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the city and Police Chief Teresa Theetge, alleging workplace discrimination in personnel assignments and promotions.
The officers claimed they were bypassed for preferred positions in favor of minority and female lieutenants, despite meeting qualifications, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit … named the city and Theetge in both her individual and official capacities, alleging they participated in “intentional and discriminatory practices” that favored women and minorities.
The four officers alleged in their lawsuit that the city and Theetge developed and enforced assignment, hiring, and promotional processes that demonstrate “a systemic practice of discrimination against white males.”
In the social media post below, one woman rightly points out that Theetge “seems to have a personal problem with white people, specifically white men. She’s being sued for discrimination. We saw the video, the violence was not exaggerated, now the FBI is getting involved because the local DA can’t be trusted.”

Although the seeds of DEI were planted before the Biden administration, it was under former President Joe Biden’s leadership that this toxic ideology began to explode throughout corporate America and government institutions. What began as a suggested framework for inclusivity quickly morphed into a mandatory system of compliance—one that demanded adherence, often at the expense of merit, clarity, and individual judgment.
Some complied quietly to safeguard their careers. Others, like Theetge, appear to have embraced DEI not just as policy, but as a personal worldview. Yet now, as the cultural and institutional backlash grows, the costs of rigidly filtering every situation through the lens of DEI are becoming increasingly clear. The bloom is off the rose—and those who remain tethered to this ideology may find themselves out of step with a public demanding transparency, fairness, and accountability over ideology-driven optics.
And yes, Chief Theetge, that’s you. That is you.

This social worker with a badge must be auditioning to be Mamdani’s NYC police commissioner. She excels at gaslighting.
“She excels at gaslighting”
And stupidity, incompetence, failure, incivility, and just plain ugliness.
Cincinnati….the Carnival Cruise Line of American cities….
Theetge: You’re making things awkward for me. Stop it!
Name one chick in charge of a police department that is in any way competent and didn’t ride the DEI train into her position then made everything worse
Girls should not be cops
Jessica Tisch in NYC – strictly business, no ideology.
I will say this ..tisch shows much more competency than most men in that nyc gov and definitely all women
but there is this:
For Adams, Tisch’s appointment is a return to his campaign promise that he would select a woman police commissioner.
her IT cred was what they were after AFTER HER dei genes
Funny that she mentions a lack of contacts but offers no context to fill the gap
when she didnt see that *toy* under her christmas tree that would allow her to be a man…she has since become a misandrist…a term very very rarely used b/c we allow the msm to control the narrative
As they try and figure out how to AI white people screaming the n word they delay the justice that all of society deserves to have
BTW…THE CINCINATTI BLACK FEMALE CITY COUNCIL SAID THAT THE WHITES GOT THE BEATING THEY DESERVED
NAACP HAD THE SAME THOUGHT BUT TRIEDDDD TO WALK IT BACK
Cincinnati “police chief” needs to be fired – out of a Mark VII naval rifle. Iowa-class battleships carry 9 of ’em.
A quote from an equally fictitious law enforcement officer, Chief Brody of the Amity PD, seems apropos here: “You’re going to need a bigger boat.”
“prior to the attack, the victim may have slapped a black man in the face. Did that incident provoke a mob to brutally assault a white man and his female companion?”
Yes. Under Wakandan law, the penalty for “dissing” is from maiming to death, depending on “stuff.”
Slapping in the face is not dissing, it’s assault, and justifies proportionate force in defense. It doesn’t justify the escalation that happened, any more than whatever happened before the slap justified the slap.
Not in the court but on the street. IOW in the real world of instant consequences and repercussions where, just like here, the LEO arrive way too late to prevent a curb stomping. The judicial system might eventually deliver a verdict but it won’t be ‘justice’. IMO so long as it is one on one ….no whining by the initial attacker when the dude you hit first beats you into a new dimension….you chose the level of force to begin the engagement and your opponent is entitled to choose the level of force to end it.
True justice would be for scenarios of one or two getting beaten by a mob for the use of that disproportionate disparity of force to elevate to attempted murder if no one died and capital murder if someone died from the beating. Same for blindside or sucker punch attacks. One on one though? Between basically equal opponents in size, strength, age, presence of disability? Meh let em beat on each other in mutual combat.
I’ll have to parse you on rigidity of thought. Which person “slapped” the black man? Slapping someone sounds “female”. Did she just walk up a slap the black man and what preceded it if so? Harassment and obstruction? Yes, sticks and stones…etc..etc… the woman was from Russia and probably expected more manners… something the Russians may understand more than Wakandalanders. “any more than whatever happened before the slap justified the slap”… hum…. actually it’s assault and battery Milhouse. In the coming times, your strict adherence to the law will be sorely tested..as it will be for all of us… and sometimes the only justice will not be found in your law books….sadly so.
I believe it’s time that we close the law books as our guiding principles. They don’t work in many cases. Especially in certain cities where police, prosecutors, and the general government instituted to protect all citizens no longer works – whether for certain “other” races, or anyone in general.
If the uncivilized people who decided a 20 to 1 ratio of assault and battery is acceptable can’t police themselves, perhaps we need to go back to the days of true self defense.
Because we know that these perpetrators, all of them, will either never see justice served, or the “justice” will be meted out by “Just Us”
But there will be those on this comment board who will justify racism because they find my comment racist.
They don’t work in many cases.
In many cases that’s because procedure has become the virtue, instead of justice. Pile that on top of Progressive values (victim hierarchy, Gaia worship, etc.) and you get travesty – by the old standards.
Actually it’s my understanding that the white man slapped the black man, whereupon the whole mob started in on the white man; the woman tried to intervene and was beaten up for her troubles.
One may presume that strong words were exchanged before the slap, but it seems to have been the white man who escalated it from words to force — and then the mob that escalated it again.
And that slap somehow justifies the level of assault and battery perpetrated by those who did not feel the singular slap of the offended party.
And, then, he tried to walk away. Meaning, in a legal sense, he was innocent.
The mob didn’t escalate. They actually initiated a new incident (again, legally speaking) when the man tried to disengage.
The news report doesn’t say WHICH victim slapped the man. Social convention has always legitimized a female slapping a male for “verbal” assaults, regardless of the “law.”
I didn’t upvote you
You are insane. We know that the “slapping” is BS
Yet you persist
Please Milhouse. Just when I have come to the conclusion that you aren’t all bad, and that the majority of your comments are based on reason, you come out AGAIN to defend the indefensible.
There used to be a time when a woman could slap a man in the face because he said or did something insulting. A REAL man would have accepted that his behavior was in fact insulting and take the rebuke like a REAL man.
But according to you, that rebuke has now been escalated to the heinous act of assault and the woman deserves the level of beat down that she received.
But I guess we don’t have the same expectation of a certain race to behave in a way the doesn’t emulate nearly every member of the NFL, NBA, and every level of entertainment from Rap to Jazz, and including actors.
So yeah. Go ahead and give a pass to a certain violent race because “The Bitch deserved it.”
Having been in a brawl where the dude’s wife piled on, I no longer feel compelled to obey gentlemanly rules. Diamond rings hurt like hell and they cut. However being older and wiser, I know getting sued for medical damages is no fun either. I carry OC spray to settle such disputes and open up time for me to work on my 400M dash because everyone involved is getting the hot sauce.
They will spend the rest of the day calling me a pussy while they flush their eyes out with Dawn/Ivory. They wanted an unfair fight, so give them one.
I agree with all that you said. But I do want to point out that there is no such thing as a fair fight.
All fights are unfair to the person who lost the fight, mainly because that person failed to use all of the resources available. That’s because the loser was expecting a fair fight.
In a fight, all things are open as defensive weapons, including thumbs firmly pushed in the perpetrators eyes, a pencil firmly inserted into the perpetrators ears, a swift kick to the groin or a 2 x 4 with a nail remaining, directed at the side of the head.
Legally yes but that didn’t seem to help the guy getting kicked in the head or the woman getting knocked out. The black mob was getting their reparations on whitey and ignored the finer legal points of their actions
What led to the “slap”? These things don’t generally “just happen” 🤔
When speaking of “context” it is usually useful to get ALL of the context.
If Ohio had a conservative Governor (instead of Mike DeWine), he could assign the Ohio State Patrol to take over the investigation. The OH AG also has a separate investigative agency he could assign as well. But, neither will do anything.
“Just Us” will be served.
And Cincinnati’s mayor will now forever be known as “AWOL Aftab.”
lets say he did slap a black person
WHAT PROVOKED HIM???
did the blc use a racist term against the wht guy ??
b/c as we know ,,its permissible to attack if someone offends you
OH WAIT…thats only if you are non white does the law allow that
and so on and so on
Against him? Probably not. Most likely the black guy went after that guys girlfriend.
Cinnci police chief needs a new job. She would fit perfectly as a CNN contributor.
This woman is looking straight past a deeply unsettling reality in America today that black culture is tearing the nation’s fabric apart. From the violence and misogyny endemic to rap (it’s not music, folks) to the abandonment of any cultural norms from education to simply following the law, large swaths of urban America are filled with feral human beings contributing absolutely nothing to their communities or to mankind. How many trillions of dollars have we poured into the Orwellian “Great Society” program? We’ve regressed enormously since 1965. If you think that this unfortunate assault is an isolated incident, I’ve got very bad news for you.
I upvoted your comment because I think the black family has been so damaged by “do good” policies that infantilized black adults. Lower economic blacks now require the government intervention to handle their lives.
However, basic attitudes and treatment of blacks has changed dramatically since the 60s. I met a girl from Greenville, SC, when I was 13 and went down to visit her, in spite of family warnings about the Deep South. I lasted three days before bring thrown out for my attitude about blacks.
Some six years later, I visited a friend at Fort Bragg. While exploring a neighborhood town on my own, an old black man was the only other person on the street at noon. He crossed the street so as not to pass by me too closely,
Anecdotal evidence but examples of attitudes back then,
I was going to refute your “do good” but then I realized you already had that in quotes.
I don’t think any of the anti-family policies we have enacted in this country were ever based in a desire to do good. They were always based in a desire to increase dependence and secure the votes of people via that dependence.
Have to keep them on the plantation somehow, so promise them “free” stuff that they’re “entitled” to… because “evil, racist whitey,” don’cha know.
I’m still waiting to see the “culture” part of “black culture.”
It’s “culture” that has gone sour.
I recall youtubbs banning colin flathery for his book ( repeating what a violent blck female stated)
white girl bleeds alot
and another book
dont make the black kid angry
on how the media ( and then of course the pols) swept under the scope any blck on everyone else crime
and now those lefty policies have morphed into
the blurring of criminals faces in videos/photos
the inability for people to name names of criminals especially when the crimes are done in the gov run schools
we have the internet >>>more freedom>>> more info
and THAT HAS put the fear into the mainstream so they clamped down even harder on freedoms
It didn’t take the media to let us know that the perpetrators were black. We just knew.
Contrary to what the media believes, we are able to draw our own conclusions.
A 20 to 1 ratio of brutality was enough.
I wish it were otherwise.
Seems that this particular AWFL has her empty head set on blaming everyone but her inept management of the police department for that beat down. If the jazz festival was that big of an event, WHY wasn’t there a police presence there just to ensure order? Even just for traffic control? Even in our little two-horse town in Texas, the police are always at every community event to make sure no traffic snarls occur and that nothing gets out of hand. It’s also great public relations for them—they know everybody and everybody knows them.
Because in Cincinnati, like other liberal cities, there are places that even police will not go unless they have to.
“Cleanup on Aisle 7th Street!”
I used to work on 7th Street. Back when it was a real city with department stores, independent book stores, mom and pop restaurants.
Yes, I’m old.
She is of the undead.
Confidence level that Trump will still have his job at the end of the year and Theege won’t: 95%. She’s going to fall on her sword sooner rather than later.
“She’s going to fall on her sword sooner rather than later.”…poor sword.
I’ll take those odds and raise you.
Incompetence at her level is rewarded. Both she and Trump will still be around
Yin and Yan.g
I’ve seen all the videos. It doesn’t justify what happened. It’s not a good look for this Police Chief to be advocating for the perpetrators. This is not going to end well for her
But she’s elderly overweight female with lifetime of experience writing parking tickets. She deserves recognition and fat pension.
Ahem.
You mean an “overweight” pension, right?
A body positive pension, damn you!
They have pensions for being fat now? 😛
The execrable police chief’s behavior is right out of the Soviet communist playbook. Brazenly deny reality, and then issue your own propaganda narrative that is intended to be the basis for the new, Party-approved reality.
The city council may want to consider how many white people are seeing this and will not attend the jazz festival next year because it’s not safe. I guarantee that the couple got assaulted spent far more money than the EBT crowd did
Many of us are astute enough to know that there are parts of our particular areas that we won’t go to, Jazz Festival or not.
When I visit my family in Baltimore, I will NEVER go to the Inner Harbor, Camden Yards, or PissNet (sorry… M&T) Stadium. Even though I lived just off Charles Street and near Paca and Lombard at other times.
I played in Camden Yards as a kid when it was a train yard with warehouses, not a diamond with one of those warehouses as the third base line.
Same applies when I live in San Antonio, Atlanta, Augusta, and even Dover Delaware.
Some may say these places are “relatively” safe, and the likelihood of being assaulted are very low… until you are the victim in a bed in the nearest ICU.
One of the rules of self-defense is:
Don’t go…
1) Stupid places,
2) with Stupid people,
3) at Stupid times.
I forgot #4 – to do Stupid things.
Excellent rules!
they had dropped the “jazz” part and we know why…it goes to your post so that more whites WOULD attend
Which would be weird. Because jazz is enjoyed by an immense number of white people (and brown and yellow, etc.) around the world. I’ve never felt I would stand out much in a “jazz” event. (And I’ve been to several.)
thats the point
white people enjoy a lot of things
but blcks have been allowed/encouraged to get reparations
by any means necessary
City council is pretty much the same. In it for the money and photo ops. Happily, I don’t live in their jurisdiction and can criticize from (near) afar.
Blacks can lawyer up with free legal counsel and claim the other race provoked the confrontation with racist insults and verbal threats and shoving.
According to the woke narrative whites should be considered guilty until proven innocent.
And convicted and executed before the first court appearance.
“Fighting words” is no longer really accepted as a defense anywhere anymore.
Unless it’s a racial “hate crime” of course.
Does not depict the entire incident.
She is telling us we are believing our lying eyes, and that is interfering with the job she thinks she was hired to do.
Oh, will my lying eyes ever learn?
she lacks the intelligence and character to work in any capacity in law enforcement
she needs to go
One of the most vexing torments of hell is the cruel realization that you brought this upon yourself. Perhaps her response may bring some of her constituents to that point.
and once again,,,when someone(s) tells you what they are about ……
The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture recently unveiled guidelines for talking about race. A graphic displayed in the guidelines, entitled “Aspects and Assumptions of Whiteness in the United States,” declares that rational thinking and hard work, among others, are white values.
In the section, Smithsonian declares that “objective, rational, linear thinking,” “quantitative emphasis,” “hard work before play,” and various other values are aspects and assumptions of whiteness.
Wish I’d known that earlier. I always had to do my homework before I went out to play.
There’s phenom gaining steam called “Black Fatigue”
I was amazed people had the courage to utter the words out loud.
It explains the AE ad popularity and it explains why the pendulum is about to swing hard the other way.
A lot of black people are going to see the inside of a jail or join the George Floyd center for sobriety as this phenom gains traction. and thank God advertisers are once again able to hire attractive white people.
OK, so here’s the problem with “context” in this case:
The video shows a man involved briefly in a verbal altercation, who then gets a beatdown. Under the law, a beatdown is (by definition) assault and battery, possibly attempted murder. Period. There are only two defenses. One is “fighting words”, which is generally no longer accepted anywhere. The other is self-defense. For it to be self-defense you have to not pursue the alleged attacker unless he’s somehow endangering others or something.
The victim disengaged (or attempted to). That recovered his “innocence” as far as being a danger. At that point, any battery on him is NOT self defense. PERIOD.
IOW, the “context” is that there is nothing you could show that would make that crowd’s behavior innocent or provide them a defense. Nothing, at all. And a chief cop should know this.
So, no, Chief, you’re not only wrong, but so egregiously wrong you should never be allowed to wear so much as a security guard badge ever again.
Clearly the chief is scared of gettin a beatdown too.
GWB.
That is a good first level analysis of self defense law as applied to this incident.
The second level analysis is that a slap is a non deadly force attack, so legally can only justify a non deadly force response.
A mob attack is a a disparity of force and is a deadly force response to a non deadly assault.
I agree.
If nothing changes, then nothing changes.
I just watched the “Fair Trial” episode of “Four Star Playhouse” available on the Internet Archive.
https://archive.org/details/fourstarplayhouse-fairtrial
