Israel Begins Daily Tactical Pauses in Gaza Amid Mounting Pressure from Europe, U.S. Allies

Hamas is receiving the breathing space to rearm and regroup its terrorist forces as Israel, on Monday, begins with 10-hour-long daily tactical pauses in terror strongholds across Gaza. The Israeli decision comes amid mounting pressure from the U.S., Europe, and other Western allies.
“The Israeli military Sunday began limited pauses in fighting in three populated areas of Gaza for 10 hours a day, part of measures including airdrops,” The Associated Press noted Monday.

The fighting will be paused in the terrorist strongholds where the IDF believes that Hamas is holding most of the remaining hostages and large parts of its combat-ready force. “The military said the ‘tactical pause’ from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Gaza City, Deir al-Balah and Muwasi, all with large populations, would increase humanitarian aid entering the territory,” the news agency added.

Netanyahu: Hamas ‘hijacking supplies and disrupting aid distribution’
The diplomatic campaign is being mounted on the back of false claims of food shortages in Gaza. Israel, which has been facilitating massive food supplies to Gaza through the U.S.-led Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), is being falsely maligned by those in the media and diplomatic circles peddling Hamas talking points.
“Israel is presented as though we are applying a campaign of starvation in Gaza. What a bold-faced lie,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday. “There is no policy of starvation in Gaza, and there is no starvation in Gaza.”
It is Hamas that has been seizing supplies and obstructing the distribution of humanitarian aid. “Hamas robs, steals this humanitarian aid and then accuses Israel of not supplying it,” he noted.

While GHF has directly distributed 91 million meals to Gaza residents since starting its operation in late May, the United Nations has been refusing to work with them.

UK, Germany, and France ‘demand’ an end to Israeli military operation against Hamas
Regardless of the facts, leading European powers like the UK, Germany, and France are spearheading a diplomatic campaign to force Israel to end its military operation against Hamas in Gaza.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will be meeting President Trump in Scotland “to discuss what can be done to urgently get a ceasefire in place, as international concerns grow about starvation in Gaza,” the BBC reported Monday.
“Israel is facing mounting pressure from many of its allies, with aid agencies warning of mass starvation having previously criticized plans to drop supplies into Gaza by air,” the broadcaster added.

Germany has also hopped on the bandwagon, blaming Israel for the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
“Germany’s chancellor, Friedrich Merz, has called on his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, to quickly provide aid to ‘starving’ civilians in Gaza,” The Guardian newspaper reported Sunday.
“Merz, who leads Germany’s centre-right CDU, has been increasingly critical of Israel,” the London-based daily added.
On Friday, the three European powers issued a joint statement demanding immediate action from Israel. “The leaders of the UK, France, and Germany have jointly urged Israel to allow full humanitarian access to Gaza, urging an immediate ceasefire,” Germany state-owned DW TV reported.
In a joint statement, “they demanded an immediate ceasefire and warned that ‘withholding essential humanitarian assistance’ is unacceptable — though the statement broke no new diplomatic ground,” the TV channel said.
While French President Emmanuel Macron has already announced his decision to recognize a “Palestinian State” in September, Germany and the UK are also toying with the idea of supporting the creation of a terrorist-dominated state in the region. The German state TV noted that “all three countries support a Palestinian state in principle.”

To put it another way, Western European companies who took part in the effort to murder Jews 80 years ago, either directly or by making sure they couldn’t escape Europe, are demanding Israel commit suicide to appease the Jew-hating barbarians they replaced their own population with.
Not suicide, exactly. Just self-maiming. They’re not demanding that Israel completely disarm and allow Holocaust Part II to proceed unchecked. They’re more like Kissinger, saying “let them bleed a little”. They want Israel to survive, but with the Jewish population culled a little.
What’s a few thousand Jews here or there, when there are so many remaining? Like if Hitler had only kept the killing down to a few hundred thousand, like the Turks did to the Armenians; if he’d not built the death camps and just let the Einsatzgruppen go around shooting Jews one at a time, that would have been OK with the rest of the world. Just keep the scale reasonable, so the bystanders can pretend not to be what they clearly are.
This is the result of Israel sitting on it’s hands for years at this point, and it is directly the policy of Netanyahu to do that.
Bombing Hamas is not victory. Raids that kill Hamas operatives isn’t victory either Hamas WANTS martyrdom.
If Israel will not extirpate Hamas it has already lost. There is no Palestinian revolution about to break out. Israel has to decide risk the hostages dying or surrender, there are no groups of countries waiting to save Israel if it loses the west. It is the West or death for Israel.
Israel will need multiple generations to get back to where it was October 6th in the West if Hamas still rules Gaza after the war but at least it could start trying to repair if it ends the war. If Netanyahu will not just send in the troops he has no business continuing the war, he is risking the existence of his country.

Keep Hamas away from distribution. Every time armed population moves towards the distro area then shut it down. Put incendiary on the undisturbed supplies and depart. Come back tomorrow and try again. Film the whole thing. Release footage in realtime to show exactly how Hamas tries to take the aid for its own purposes.
Every time an armed group moves toward aid supplies, blow them up. Kill them. They will learn the lesson quicker.

Hamas officials have expressed continued commitment to the destruction of Israel and violent rhetoric against Jews, Israel must not give in to have another Muslim state even if no other country supports Israel. The alternative is the permanent destruction of the Jewish state.
It looks like Netanyahu’s Sits Krieg with occasional targeted bombing and raids works about as well as it did in France 1940.
Netanyahu can either have the IDF clear Gaza of the remainder of Hamas to secure Israel’s future by making liars out of everyone on the “Israel genocide/apartheid/satan/subhuman” bandwagon or surrender and work 48 hours a day to make Israel only fall down to a few levels beneath Russia in the west and hope some day Israel could recover enough to avoid her destruction, there is no alternative involving Israeli survival.
A nation entirely dependent on the west (The total list of Asian allies of Israel consists of India, in America her only allies are either Argentina which is a result of a single person, and American allies who do so as a concession to the United States all of which are extremely weak, there are no African allies of Israel they are all enemies) can’t have an indefinite war, at least not with the media wielding the power it has today.
Even if it could everyone would have a lower death toll if Israel conducted the war the way the United States would have.
Netanyahu is fighting the leftists in the IDF brass & intelligence agencies at the same time he is fighting Hamas. Part of the problem is that the disastrous conceptzia of placating Hamas took root for years before Oct 8, not only on him but on much of the country. Another is that IDF brass was infected by the U.S. model of seeing war as something to be managed instead of something to be fought until the enemy is destroyed.
It’s hard to disagree with a lot of what you said but it’s even harder to think of someone who would do a better job as PM right now in fighting the war and dealing with the international relations.

When Netanyahu issued the orders in Lebanon the IDF cleared out Hezbollah just fine and had a blitzkrieg that would please any American Officer or NCO who was involved in the Gulf War.
The option of Netanyahu telling his top brass you will take over Gaza and do it now and try to rescue the hostages in the process it is clear they would obey.
The only beneficiary of Netanyahu reinventing Sits Krieg is Hamas.
If Netanyahu’s only priority was hostages he should have told Israel October 8th there would be no war and he is holding talks about the price of bringing them all home without one.
No European will ever agree that 200 hostages (down to 20 now) are worth the lives of thousands or even tens of thousands.
Europe is not disposable. Israel loses Europe it should try and see if it could purchase a section of Madagascar or see if it could be a piece of arctic real estate because it is over for Israel.

These raids have to end. The United States would have had a transition of Gaza from Hamas to non-Hamas rule long long ago. It is past time for Netanyahu to decide if Israel is going to win at the risk the military fails to rescue the hostages, surrender and turn Israel into a pariah state in return for 20 hostages, or surrender. A war lasting for all eternity is not an option consistent with Israeli survival.
J.D. Vance is close to Tucker Carlson, the chance he sees Ukraine or Israel as an ally is pretty close to none, which is why Trump is putting the pressure on Russia now, and why he is trying to encourage Netanyahu to just send in the troops and end it in Gaza.
Trump is also right, if Netanyahu, or a left wing opponent who takes over keeps failing Israel will fall, and in Ukraine he does have to make it end under his presidency.
