White House Addresses Amnesty Rumors
“If you want to break our coalition, go and push amnesty. That right there would be a complete collapse of everything we have worked for. Everything.”
Comments from conservative activist and commentator Charlie Kirk during his Monday podcast sent shivers through MAGA world. He told viewers that several high-level Trump administration officials were pressuring President Donald Trump to back a mass amnesty plan for illegal immigrants.
According to Kirk, the officials who were pushing for amnesty maintained: “We’re gonna lose the midterms because of the deportations. The people on the right, they’ll understand, and we need to come to the middle, and we need to legalize the 25 million people here in this country.”
He did not reveal his sources; nor did he name the officials who were pressuring Trump.
The visibly shaken podcast host told listeners, “It is happening right now in Washington, D.C. I can say this from first hand experience that people are pushing President Trump for amnesty. They are pushing him for mass legalization of illegals.”
“I can tell you now through other reporting that I’ve been able to do, and phone calls, there is a major push right now to do an amnesty deal — a major push.”
Trump’s comments during a Thursday night speech in Iowa about a potential compromise deal for agricultural, hotel, and leisure industry workers had alarmed Kirk. It was not the first time the president had addressed this issue, but these were his clearest remarks to date.
And he wasn’t alone. He said his phone lit up afterward.
He played a clip from Trump’s remarks: “People who have worked on a farm for 14, 15 years and they get thrown out pretty viciously. We can’t do it. We’ve got to work with the farmers. People who have hotels and leisure properties too, we’re gonna work with them. …”
Trump “didn’t use the word amnesty,” Kirk noted, but (according to Kirk) he meant some form of “soft amnesty” for these workers.
Kirk addressed his next words to the Trump administration: “If you want to break our coalition, go and push amnesty. That right there would be a complete collapse of everything we have worked for. Everything.”
If what Kirk was saying was true, it would have been a shocking betrayal. The president had campaigned on mass deportations, and now appeared to be backpedaling.
🚨 BREAKING: Charlie Kirk says there are efforts from high-level people within the Trump admin pushing President Trump for a bipartisan mass Amnesty Deal for Illegal Aliens

While people are distracted by the holidays and the Big Beautiful Bill, there is another serious push for immigration amnesty in Washington.
You'll hear the same lines we've always heard: Crops rotting in the field, economic collapse, global hunger, and more (even though…

Fortunately, during a Tuesday morning press conference, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins set the record straight. She announced, “There will be NO amnesty. The mass deportations continue, but in a strategic way. And we move the work force toward automation and 100% American participation, which again, with 34 million people, able-bodied adults on Medicaid, we should be able to do that fairly quickly.”

According to News Nation, migrants make up 86% of the nation’s agricultural workforce. The outlet also reported that roughly 75,000 illegals were working on farms in the state of Iowa. That may explain why Trump was signaling tolerance during his speech in the Hawkeye State.
At any rate, the sheer number of migrant farmworkers suggests that moving to an all-American work force will not happen overnight; nor will it be easy.
But, after all of the mixed messaging from the president himself over the past month or two, the American people received a clear message from the Trump administration on Tuesday. There will be no amnesty. And that’s a tremendous relief.
Rollins also said the government will be “tak[ing] swift legislative and executive action to ban the purchase of American farmland by Chinese nationals and other foreign adversaries.”
Hopefully, the administration will also address the issue of foreigners — particularly Chinese companies — purchasing farmland near U.S. military bases. After all, we have seen recently what the Israelis were able to accomplish inside Iran even without owning property there.
Sec. Brooke Rollins says the USDA’s National Farm Security Action Plan will “ban the purchase of American farmland by Chinese nationals and other foreign adversaries.”

Phase 1: Identify the saboteurs.
Yup. We need to know who needs to be Scott Preslered in the next election cycle.
Absolutely. Anyone in the administration that is throwing stuff like that out there is doing so to undermine Trump. They need to go.
I would think that the first task of ICE and CPB would be to round up as many felonious illegal immigrants as possible, and then start working down from there. The other thing to do is to make life in the US as uncomfortable as possible for the remaining illegals so they choose to self-deport. That would include depriving them of any federal entitlements and any state entitlements funded by federal dollars. At no time should President Trump entertain the notion of amnesty for illegal immigrants.
I can’t think of one agriculture job that machinery can’t do. People are addicted to cheap labor.
picking strawberries, attaching the milking machine to da ta tas
They’ve had automated milking machines for 20-years. More contemporary machines are incredibly hands-off…entirely really. The cows literally milk themselves by following cues into the milking pen. I’m not as familiar with produce automation. But, as I understand it, there are very few veggies/roots/berries (including strawberries) that don’t have wholly automated harvesting machines available today. They even have asparagus harvesters today (asparagus stalks are cut off the plant, not pulled, which had proven difficult to automate) . The biggest obstacle is the cost of the machinery, of course.
gop wont gain any voters by doing so
and since people would rather hard working from over the border be in their yards etc
vs
the blmplo
I can see this amnesty happening
if no other criminal acts are known other than coming over to america to work
the solution would be to
let them work here as they have been and fine them per paycheck
and then ,,if the companies knowingly hired illegals FINE THEM NO LESS THAN 7 FIGURES OR 20% OF THEIR TOP LINE …whichever is higher
since we wont end the welfare state
I was a young nurse working in San Antonio while I got my nursing degree
I was given a patient, a farm work hand from the area. He was Mexican, spoke no English, I spoke no Spanish, I year removed from my home in Wisconsin…
To this day, he had the most horrendous medical issue I have ever taken care of….
He was working a combine and his hand got stuck, it was chopping and pulling him in, he reached for the hand with his other and that got pulled in
Both arms were pulled off at the shoulder, he realized what was happening and tried to kill himself, he put his head as far as he could but it wasn’t large enough, but it chopped off sections of his scalp.
He was found running down the road by a farmer.
The asshole Dr, who didn’t speak Spanish either, like really , we are talking San Antonio, 70% Spanish speaking and they couldn’t find Spanish speaking healthcare workers for him?
The asshole Dr told him, in English, to settle down, everything was going to be alright and he was going to go back to Mexico.
The next day, his sister came from Mexico, she told me his mother had visions of something terrible happening to him in America and begged him not to come.
He was quite handsome, I can’t even imagine him
Surviving in Mexico.
I had nightmares about him for some time
They treated him like just another farm animal in my opinion.
I was so thankful hi sister came, it calmed him a bit … but I’m sure he wasn’t going to live like that..
so you are saying the dr was a asshole b/c he didnt speak another language but the worker who CAME to america is not an asshole even though HE CAME TO WORK IN A PLACE AND NOT learn the language??
how was he mistreated if they in fact treated him?
and how is it “their fault” for not having the ability to find a spanish speaking healthcare worker?
and why DIDNT YOU LEARN SPANISH ???
First off, the Drs attitude was condescending and shameful
You weren’t there
I just moved Texas. Speaking Spanish want on my radar
The poor Mexican got minimal care and was shipped back to Mexico, no rehab no prosthetics nothing
Probably no compensation
So kiss my a$&
“you werent there”
you might not have been either
“I just moved to texas”
then you shouldnt have taken a job that you couldnt do..( since speaking spanish..to you,,,was part of the job)
as a good socialist ,,why didnt you pay the “poor mexican”???
It’s damned if you do and damned if you don’t. If you provide cheap care, it’s hard on the guy. They could have helped him more with more treatment.
If you provide full medical services, how is that fair to taxpayers who end up paying for it?
The way to avoid this dilemma is not to have uninsured people in the country to begin with. And they probably have to be legal and on the books, otherwise they’ll realistically be uninsured and the costs shoveled onto the public whenever something like this happens.
Deport them while they’re still healthy, and then no blame can attach. (Of course the UN will blame, but we have to be ready to spit back at the UN and its migration agenda.)
Recognize a psyop when you see it. This is one.
The Epstein Files fiasco showed the Left the crack in the president’s support. Add onto that amnesty and the entire MAGA coalition dissolves.
An intelligence operation is being waged. (You think Musk announced a third party out of thin air?)
the dems and gop have conspired to always keep out “intruders” into their little game of
power over the people
Ive been fighting that fight ( and losing) for decades
all mistakes by Trump, he’ll deserve whatever he gets from this
What’s the problem? Trump is only limiting the amnesty to illegal aliens in menial jobs. There is no amnesty for illegal alien aerospace engineers, neurosurgeons, or astrophysicists. It’s gonna be great, huge and beautiful, and unlike anything anybody has ever seen.
I don’t know whether to upvote you for sarcasm, or what.
No need to decide now. Just put me in a deferred action tick file, and if a yet-to-be determined number of ambiguous post do not occur within the next five years, your indecision will be counted as an uptick.
If an amnsey is granted, I can see Musk’s push for a new party gaining a lot of traction.
For those of you who laugh that idea off, your great great grandfathers laughed at the idea of a third party replacing theirs. The Whigs.
I don’t remember what party name he used, but when Ross Perot ran in 1992, he was looking like a winner i.e. the next president, when he dropped out of sight and stopped campaigning after Clinton was safely ahead of GHWB. It seems he didn’t want to disturb his nice life as a wealthy businessman, and maybe pocket a bunch of campaign contributions, but he didn’t want the hassle of being president. Because there’s a fair chance he could have won the election.
I think Musk wants to be president. Not a ridiculous idea, but he should have been more honest about it.
As I responded to Bonchie on X this morning about this topic, it’s okay to be a bit cynical —
— let the illegal farm workers harvest the crops and THEN deport them. In the meantime, clear MacArthur Park.
Yes, that’s cynical (even for me). But Secretary Rollins pretty much goes there in saying that the administration will be ‘strategic’ about this.
11 million illegals came into the country during the Biden administration. You’re not going to remove them all in a month, so you have to have priorities. I’m happy to start with the worst offenders and go from there. Frequent raids outside the Home Depot help set the tone. Driving ICE vehicles past the orchards, ditto. But it’s going to take a while so yes, we’ll have to be ‘strategic’.
Mr. Trump will not be doing any amnesties. He knows better. Whoever was pushing this was indeed trying to pull a psyop. We all should know better.
It’s time for reasonable Pubs to stop acting like the Democratic NPCs. We have brains. Use them.
I talk with DHS agents, Border Patrol agents, and OFO officers weekly.
Be assured that there are 10s of thousands of H2B workers who legally cross through the POE weekly.
All have had background checks for any prior state or federal crimes. They’re checked by OFO Officers at the POE upon entry. Once cleared, they’re on their way to their ag job. These ag jobs are all over the country.
Upon completion of the job, they head back home with their earnings.
They play by the rules that illegal aliens don’t.
Is it the answer to these issues? Maybe? I think it takes the wind out the Amnesty debate. I personally dealt with the 1986 and 1990 Acts. I also had to deal with DACA.
Just my 2 cents…..
The H-2B visa program explicitly EXCLUDES agricultural workers so either you got lied to, got confused or are purposefully spreading misinformation. A totally separate, special visa program, H-2A, exists solely for use by the agricultural sector.
A Farmer/Rancher can apply for permit from USCIS to employ ‘temporary’ foreign agricultural workers. They gotta get a certificate from Dept of Labor basically certifying a local ‘shortage’ of available workers and demonstrate that employing imported foreign labor will not ‘adversely affect the wages and working conditions of similarly situated US workers’.
The permit filing by the farmer/rancher allows up to 25 ‘temporary foreign agricultural workers’ to be hired for 12 months, with near automatic renewal for up to three years total. If the same workers depart the US for 60 consecutive days their 36 month clock can reset if they are rehired.
These imported foreign agricultural workers can bring their foreign family members with them but these family members are supposed to be prohibited from receiving a work authorization.
We don’t need a neo Bracero program with tens of millions (supposedly 34 million) of working age able bodied adult US Citizens not in the workforce. Cut these folks off all ‘welfare’ and gov’t support. Simply implement the historical ‘Jamestown rule’ of CPT John Smith ‘he does not work will not eat’ from 2 Thessalonians.
No amnesty. Not for the illegal aliens nor for the employers who unlawfully hired them despite many separate visa programs specifically geared to individual industries to meet the ‘need’ for foreign workers. Lock the criminal employers up, fine them up the wazzo and deport the illegal aliens with a no reentry code.
¡Aye Saudis.
I made a mistake… I got the classification wrong….
I’ll get back to you with better info….
Saludos.
No worries, mistakes happen especially within the context of the different visa types established for a particular special interest. The AG visa is the H-2B and I hit the high points but if you got more in-depth info sure please share.
The issue with Agriculture is the deliberate decision to employ illegal aliens. That is simply inexcusable when a special agricultural visa program exists to lawfully bring in and employ foreign agricultural workers. There’s no adequate justification for US Farmers/Ranchers and especially ‘Big AG’ conglomerates (which is where the bulk of the AG profits flow) refusing to utilize the program in slaughter houses, meat packing. Instead they deliberately decide not to do so and hire illegal aliens. See recent example in Omaha Nebraska at Glenn Valley Facility. 70 ICE arrests, the company raised wages to fill the empty jobs and they were swarmed with US Citizens applying.
The hospitality industry has its own set of special visa. A seasonal one capped at 66K the H-2B. Then there’s the J-1 for ‘training and internship’ in the hospitality industry,.valid for 18 months. Many J-1 holders then transition to the H-3 another ‘training visa’. The hotels and restaurants are allowed bring in low paid foreign labor on these visa programs. If the employer didn’t use these and decided to hire illegal aliens lock them up. Not the Mom and Pop place but they larger Corporate interests that have the staff and $ to figure out how to apply for approval to get visa program workers. Then there’s the US Citizen labor not hired and wages suppressed in general as result.
No amnesty.
If there are illegal aliens working on farms, hotels etc.. arrest and prosecute the owners of such properties. They know to check for illegals and they are willfully failing to do so. No excuses and NO AMNESTY.
Start with the Pritzker properties.
I love Brooke Rollins’ statement. No amnesty, move the Medicaid people needing jobs to stay on benefits into that work, and automate it.
It will accelerate the development of AI and robots, to automate that work, and we’ve got the huge ag industry to test and deploy these high tech solutions. In fact since we should do it, it’s urgent to get the workers out of the country as much as possible, as they could turn to unrest or sabotage.
I already have mowed my own lawn for 15 years since we bought the house, but all my neighbors use crews of illegals. Robot mowers can be had for under $10K that could handle their lawns. I am wondering when we start seeing those showing up on neighbors’ lawns, and the crews’ business diminishing. As for me I am happy to keep maintaining and using my riding mower, but if I had to replace it, I could go with a robot. The longer I can keep using my riding mower, the better the robots available to me will get.
I hope Trump’s attitude on this is, that if they don’t get the deportations done and maybe even if they do, we’ll lose the midterms and likely the presidency in 2028. Democrats are just too strong, and we only won in 2024 because of the laughably bad Dem ticket. They won’t make that mistake again. So the opportunity to do things is RIGHT NOW.
