Obama may be open to short term debt deal:
The White House signaled Wednesday that President Obama could accept a short-term deal to raise the debt ceiling, but only if it appeared lawmakers were close to an agreement on a significant deficit reduction plan.
Obama previously had vowed “I will not sign a 30 day, or 60 day, or 90 day extension.”
And I believe he will hold to his word, because he does not want a “read my lips” moment.
So expect a 45- day or 75-day extension.

Everything out of this man’s mouth has an expiration date. I don’t listen to him anymore. I can’t. The lying and obvious disdain he had for Americans permeates everything he says. “Time to take off the band-aid [little helpless, ignorant kiddies]; time to eat your peas.” He sickens me.
He won’t sign anything that doesn’t raise the debt ceiling – guaranteed, not conditional on a BBA – or raise taxes. On ME, the not-millionaire, not-billionaire.
He wants to enslave Americans. That is the only explanation to this stonewalling to real, common-sense solutions to our debt crisis, our jobless economy, that are PROVEN, simple well-known solutions that will satisfy the requirements to control the debt, as required by S&P, Moody’s (who wants the debt ceiling eliminated?!), even China has said that they are concerned with our inability to address the debt.
Obama is a tyrant.
Heh. But, to the media it doesn’t matter anyway. A vote and statement as senator about how damaging it is to raise the debt ceiling didn’t make a difference. Why should this?
I wonder how long it will take the media to ask a Republican president (or official candidate) about going back on a campaign promise.
What happens if obama agrees to this temporary extension and spends to the new ceiling? Does anyone think he will make cuts to get us back to the present debt ceiling?

We’ll know soon enough. Not sure he’s folding, just wants to continue the charade of being the reasonable one.
I think it is more like the House just raised the bet and Obama is counting his chips while waiting to see if the Senate calls or raises.
Counting your own chips? Not a good move when you are bluffing, shows insecurity.

Step back, take a deep breath. Now think; why would someone who’s not an obvious idiot do or say some (or any) of the things he has?
Some have ascribed it to ignorance or stupidity. Others to malice and a desire to destroy the U.S. (I myself have done this right here).
NO, this person in the Presidency is not stupid nor is he trying to destroy the US (although his ultimate goal just may do so).
Think. What topic has been shunted off the front pages and the News programs?
What circumstance will soon occur that will change the political and economic landscape world wide is being ignored?
What event will cause the world to gasp in collective fear and terror?
Who has the power to stop this event now but who will not be able to after it comes to pass? Who has shown their desire, their collective will to be the destruction and/or subjugation of the entire world?
Who has the underlying religious zealotry and belief to feel NO guilt or concern about bringing that goal to fruition?
If we had a conservative in office, what action do you think would take place to counteract this threat?
Who wishes to annihilate and entire people regardless of the consequences?
Iran is moving closer and closer to the time when it will be able to affect world politics through nuclear threat yet nothing is being done about it.
Although our debt/deficit crisis IS important, it is being used to distract, to gain time, to allow Iran to become a nuclear power. After that time, the U.S. and the world’s economic problems will be a mosquito bite compared to bubonic flea bite that has become inevitable.
Once Iran attains nuclear weapons capability it will only be a matter of time before they are used and/or threatened to be used if the world does not conform to Iran’s wishes.
Even if the world cooperates does anyone truly believe that Iran will then become a sane and benevolent partner in the world’s search for peach and prosperity?
We know they will at the least isolate Israel.
We know Israel will not, can not allow further encroachment and physical attack.
Once those missiles fly, the whole world will change in that instant. Regardless of who is alive or dead afterwards, life on this planet will never be the same.
Ignore the smoke and mirrors and the brash, sneering puppet on the stage. Look and see that his masters are surrounding the audience and intend to put every one to death or in chains.

I think it does not matter because there is no “debt crisis.” In fact, I do not see a crisis anywhere at all. I see a crisis has been averted, one so enormous it was beyond human ken to address much less face. Right now I see consequences playing out, inexorably and of many kinds, most not in my paltry power to see. But as for a debt crisis or any other kind of crisis? No, that’s posturing by the same degenerates who gleefully created the conditions they now deem a crisis.
I do see corruption on an indescribable scale by indescribable ugly species of predators. That corruption is self-caused, the predators self-evolved. IThe corruption originates in and radiates from most elements of the so-called “ruling class:” clergy, teachers, doctors, lawyers and police. Soldiers (at least US Soldiers), also members of the ruling class, overall are unique in that company for having shunned corruption. This explains the generally high regard in which US Soldiers are held by their countrymen. Neither clergy, teachers, doctors, lawyers nor police enjoy such esteem as US Soldiers do, because overall those elements of the “ruling class” accept and pursue corrupt practices.
So I think there is nothing to worry about, all is well. The real crisis is averted — there was one — and we watch now as the corrupt elements of the “ruling class” put themselves and everyone else under duress (their sole goal in life), forced-taking their just desserts as those arrive to them. Additionally, we keep the heart and house clean.
