Report: Harris Campaign $20 Million in Debt, ‘Harris Fight Fund’ Asking for Donations

The campaign is apparently trying to sell its email lists.

VP Kamala Harris’s campaign raised $1 billion, almost three times as much as President-elect Donald Trump.

The campaign is reportedly $20 million in debt. It’s still asking for donations and has even offered to sell its email lists.

I’ve been getting emails asking me to donate to the “Harris Fight Fund.”

Puck News’s Tara Palmeri reported the campaign “has essentially burned its entire cash reserve” despite having $118 million since October 6:

Contributions are still trickling in, according to a D.N.C. source, who said the campaign’s total debt will almost certainly be lower once all the incoming money is accounted for. (They have until December 15 to submit their fourth-quarter campaign finance report.) Nevertheless, I’m told by campaign sources, the Harris camp is now reaching out to Democratic groups to sell her vast dataset of supporter emails and phone numbers to offset those losses—a common tactic among both Democrats and Republicans. (Yes, Obama did it too…) How valuable is Harris’s supporter list? Given donor fatigue at both the small-dollar and high-dollar donor levels, any buyer may find them already strip-mined of much of their value.

The Harris campaign is pursuing other tactics, too. It has already launched a post-election fundraising campaign on KamalaHarris.com called the “Harris Fight Fund,” whose stated mission is to maintain staffing in states where Senate and House races are still too close to call. Texts from “Tim Walz” were still requesting $40 for the Harris Fight Fund a full two days after the polls closed. Whatever donations “Tim” or any of the other solicitors collect goes to the Democratic National Committee, to offset the campaign debt they’ll inherit.

The news comes as whispers from Democrats show a party in disarray—lots of finger-pointing and throwing blame around for the historic loss.

A former DNC consultant told Palmeri, “Instead of owning any mistakes, or being transparent about the voter data and strategies that were so obviously wrong, they shut off their Twitter account and are patting each other on the back.”

Harris’s top advisor, David Plouffe, deleted his X account.

The same consultant said the party “spent money in stupid ways because we had a really bad strategy.” He mentioned the party pouring money on Colin Allred’s Senate race in Texas (did they really expect him to beat Ted Cruz?) and in Iowa even though it hasn’t won the state since 2012.

Others told Palmeri that the Harris campaign kept many in the dark about the budget. Apparently Harris didn’t even “know she was in debt.”

What a pile of crooks. I don’t even see how this is possible.

They should be investigated thoroughly for embezzlement.

Bar tab must’ve come due

Not a big deal considering it represents a mere 2 percent of the amount raised.

Strap on the knee pads, Cackles, and buy some breath mints. You know the rest.

The amount raised was enormous. It should have been virtually unspendable. Dems have never been good with money though.

$20 million in debt because of . . .

. . . SHRINKFLATION!!!!

buying votes is expensive.
I blame inflation.

The vile, stupid and perennially fiscally illiterate Dhimmi-crats manage their campaign finances and coffers as profligately, flippantly and imprudently as they manage state and federal finances.

    Right?
Only Democrat politicians /candidates could receive overwhelmingly advantageous pallets of money from taxpayers / rich donors, and still manage to deficit-spend that amount to achieve no results worth mentioning.
Looks like TImbo wasted at least four figures of that on his first good haircut — too little, too late.

Last I heard is that the Kamala Campaign is attempting to sell off it’s fundraiser donation email list to cover the debt they’re in. Wonder how her supporters feel about that. Their names and email addresses being sold to some random third-party company so that they can be inundated by spam in their inbox.

The Democrats mentally abused their base, driving them to insanity with absurd claims of Trump as Hitler, only to then turn 180° and crow about “peaceful transfer of power” to said Neo-Hitler. (lol?WTF?)

Selling their email addresses is probably the least abuse these people have suffered from the hands of their political masters.

What’s really annoying is that I got (I think) two democrat solicitations via text or email (among the literally hundreds of Republican ones that swamped me and still haven’t stopped). Does that mean I’m on that list?

Its just an indicator of how stupid Kamala voters are that they are still contributing money to a failed campaign after all the votes are in.

What exactly do they think they’re buying to help count the slow steals going on in AZ and PA?

The donation solicitation is less than honest. It doesn’t mention the debt the party has to pay off and pretends that all funds will go towards “fighting” Trump. How is this not fraud?

Make the economy will get better and they could work for money.

The blew over 1 BILLION DOLLARS in 3 months. Most campaigns don’t spend anywhere near that much….

Well to be fair to them they did have to buy an aweful lot of support.

That used to be correct. Obama spent an eye-watering $763M in 2012 and Clinton more than $500M in 2016. But, Biden – for the first time in history – eclipsed the $1B total in 2020. BUT, that tally included the primary campaign and much longer general election. What’s remarkable about Harris is she blew that in only three months.

The total the two respective Democrat candidates spent this cycle was something north of $1.35B and another $600M (or more) raised by outside groups. The final numbers won’t be available until sometime in February. I suspect the combined campaign and PAC money will eclipse $1.7B…which is insane.

When you’re buying endorsements from Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Cardi B, it can get expensive.

BLM folks needed a new mansion.
The bad news is they have to share it with Marc Elias.

That’s why the Democrat Party anthem is “Happy Days Are Here Again.” It’s not the election day, it’s the day the campaign warchest lid is opened.

thalesofmiletus | November 8, 2024 at 11:42 am

Hey, remember the 1990’s when it only cost $100M to run for POTUS?

Good times, good times…

The woman who had the secret economic plan to save the country ended her campaign $20M+ in debt after raising more than $1B in donations. How else could it have ended?

“<emApparently Harris didn’t even “know she was in debt.”

Well, THAT sounds about right…..

Where the heck did they spend a billion dollars? The campaign she ran looked like it was a bargain basement campaign run by high schoolers

Perhaps someone might want to look at the Harris and Waltz bank accounts? Could it be a few dollars got “misdirected”?

henrybowman in reply to navyvet. | November 8, 2024 at 6:38 pm

Especially look in the comments column.
If you can’t find any that say “hush money,” that’s a red flag.

She knows where all of the bodies are buried so which way do you want me to write my book?

irishgladiator63 | November 8, 2024 at 2:13 pm

Remember when they went after Palin for the campaign buying her children dress clothes for campaign events? I hope they go through this billion dollars with a fine tooth comb. There’s gotta be a whole bunch of questionable spending.

America dodged a bullet from these spendthrifts.

OwenKellogg-Engineer | November 8, 2024 at 5:04 pm

A prime example of how Democrats run government fiscally, and why no one should vote for them.

What’s a few million or even a billion to these yo-yos who have jacked up the national debt beyond reality?

They were dumping money into late ad buys in Florida, a state she never had a chance to win. It wasn’t overspending, is was wasteful overspending.

AF_Chief_Master_Sgt | November 8, 2024 at 7:01 pm

And this is why Cumalot should not have been president. She’s been spending money ever since she became Vice Prostitute.

She was gouged.

$1,020,000,000 on one short Presidential campaign. So much for Federal campaign financing.
