U.S. Dispatches Fighter Jets to Middle East Ahead of Possible Iranian Strike on Israel
Time of Israel : “The United States is continuing to send forces to the Middle East ahead of an expected Iranian attack on Israel, with flight tracking sites showing American F-15E aircraft en route to Jordan.”
The United States has dispatched additional fighter jets and bombers to the Middle East amid fears of another Iranian strike on Israel, the country’s media reported Thursday.
“The United States is continuing to deploy its forces in the Middle East, in an attempt to deter Iran from attacking Israel,” the Israeli newspaper Haaretz wrote. “Following deployment of THAAD missile interceptors in Israel, Biden administration sends six B-52 bombers to deter Iran, and dozens of fighter jets to assist in intercepting drone and cruise missile attack.”
The U.S. is bolstering its military presence in the region after intelligence reports suggested that Iran might attack Israel using Iraqi territory.
“The U.S. is trying to deter Iran from attacking Israel and is concerned that if it does strike Israel from Iraqi soil it would further escalate the regional war,” the Axios reported Tuesday. “Israeli and U.S. intelligence indicates Iran is planning a significant attack against Israel from Iraqi soil in the coming days (…).”
The Times of Israel reported:
The United States is continuing to send forces to the Middle East ahead of an expected Iranian attack on Israel, with flight tracking sites showing American F-15E aircraft en route to Jordan.
According to Haaretz, at least 12 of the jets are on their way to the region, joining the fighter planes already deployed. (…)
Iranian leaders have warned they will mete out a “punishing” reprisal attack against Israel for a series of retaliatory sorties on October 26 — themselves a reaction to a massive Iranian ballistic missile attack on October 1 — that Jerusalem says knocked out the Islamic Republic’s air defenses and missile production capabilities.
Reports have indicated the Iranian attack may come as soon as this week and that projectiles could be launched from Iraq.
Earlier this week, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered several B-52 Stratofortress bomber aircraft, tanker aircraft and Navy destroyers to deploy to the Middle East[.]
Since the October 7 attack, Iran has launched hundreds of drones and missiles on Israel, including long-range balletic ones, in mid-April and early October. Despite opposition from the Biden administration, Israel carried out two retaliatory strikes on Iranian military and terrorist targets.
The Iranian threat comes as President Donald Trump and his transition team are preparing to move into the White House. During his previous term, President Trump bankrupted Tehran with his policy of ‘maximum pressure,’ withdrew from the Obama-era nuclear pact, and targeted the regime’s terrorist network.
“Trump’s first term in office was marked by a particularly troubled period, when he pursued a policy of “maximum pressure” against Tehran,” the Associated Press recalled Thursday. “He unilaterally withdrew America from Iran’s nuclear deal with world powers, leading to the sanctions hobbling the economy, and ordered the killing of the country’s top general.”
Israel hits Hezbollah targets in Beirut, pushes ahead with ground op in southern Lebanon
Israeli fighter jets continue to destroy terror targets in the Hezbollah stronghold in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
“Overnight, with the direction of precise IDF intelligence, the [Israeli Air Force] struck command centers and terrorist infrastructure sites belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the area of Beirut,” the military said Thursday.
With the Israeli ground operation in southern Lebanon entering its fifth week, the IDF troops engaged and eliminated Hezbollah’s terrorist forces in close-quarters combat.

“During limited, localized, targeted ground raids in southern Lebanon, the soldiers have eliminated dozens of terrorists, located weapons, and dismantled terrorist infrastructure and underground structures in the area,” the IDF disclosed.
“Following intelligence indications of terrorist activity in the area, the troops raided a Hezbollah combat compound and encountered several terrorists who were embedded in one of the buildings,” the military said. “After concluding the battle and evacuating the casualties, the troops continued the raid on the compound, dismantling terrorist infrastructure and eliminating terrorists in the area.”
Hezbollah on Thursday again used its positions in southern Lebanon to fire dozens of rockets into Israel, hitting the northern town of Kiryat Shmona.
“The Kiryat Shmona municipality reported on Thursday, November 7, that three impacts were identified in open areas of the city, following the warning sirens that sounded at 15:45 and 16:10,” the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported. “No casualties were reported and no damage was reported.”
Some 50 rockets were fired from Lebanon at northern Israel an hour ago, according to the IDF, bringing the total tally today to over 120.
The IDF says that some 20 rockets were fired at the Western Galilee and another 30 were launched at the Haifa Bay area.

Go ahead and attack Israel.
What goes around comes around.
For Israel, the green light to take off the gloves is coming around Jan 20, 2025.
Go ahead and attack Israel? I’m guessing you are sitting in the U.S. when you live in Israel you’re not so eager for someone to go ahead and attack. Save your bravado for when you’re in the line of fire.
It’s not “bravado” — Iran’s Islamofascist despots have already demonstrated, over decades, through proxies, and, now, directly, their gleeful willingness to attack Israel. They don’t require permission or an invitation to wage their genocidal Islamic “holy war.” Only “peace through strength” and a credible deterrent in American leadership will keep the mullahs at bay.
Keep in mind that Iran has been preparing for the day when they can use a nuclear weapon against Israel. The Israeli people know that. Do you really think they’re willing to take their chances with Iran? Oh, my. Hard to imagine.
you’re the reason why women SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO VOTE – OR HOLD ELECTED OFFICE
Trump’s first term in office was marked by a particularly troubled period
What the…? Troubled for whom? Not for the US or Israel.
It’s from the AP.
Yes they’re trying to tie Trump to war, again.
Hmm, is the pedophile tying our troops into that mess over there just as he’s on his way out?
Let the F-22’s out and there won’t be a an Iranian Air Force anymore. Israel has already carved huge holes in Iran’s air defense so we can go old school salt the earth and fire up the B-52’s for Rolling Thunder 2024
Iran pretty much doesn’t have an airforce and after Israel smashed what air defenses they had, no F-22s are even needed. We could probably do the job at this point with B-17s, although I’d like an upgrade from the Norden bombsight.
You need to hire some veterans to be editors or proofreaders for your military related articles.
Why do you have a picture of a Navy F/A-18 on top of an article about USAF F-15E aircraft flying to Jordan?
Any kid who loves airplanes could do better than that!
