Arizona AG Investigating Trump’s Comments About Cheney

Arizona AG Investigating Trump’s Comments About Cheney

Oh, look. The media isn’t including Trump’s full remarks! He wasn’t threatening Cheney!

For crying out loud!

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, a Democrat, announced his office will investigate former President Donald Trump’s comments about Liz Cheney.

“I have already asked my criminal division chief to start looking at that statement, analyzing it for whether it qualifies as a death threat under Arizona’s laws,” Mayes said on Friday.

Trump literally called out Lizzy and her family for being war hawks. As I said earlier, the Cheneys love war. It makes them and their buddies rich.

I just cannot.

KPNX reporter Brahm Resnik told MSNBC:

I just spoke to Attorney General Kris Mayes about 2 hours ago for the taping of my Sunday show. She told me she just gotten off the phone with her criminal division chief, and she was investigating whether what Donald Trump said about Liz Cheney constituted a death threat under Arizona law. I’ll tell you, under Arizona law, it is illegal to make threats or intimidate someone…can be charged as a class one misdemeanor, class six felony. Kris Mayes told me they’re looking into it.

I asked her whether this is just political speech, free speech, she said, we’re checking to see if across that line. But she also put it in the larger perspective. If you’re here right now, you begin to understand how this place is ready for a high security event on Tuesday, an election. Our sheriff’s office is talking about a no tolerance policy for protests. Kris Mayes is activating all her agents. Every law enforcement agency in the state is involved with protecting the vote, protecting voters.

So Kris Mayes brought that into the conversation that for Donald Trump to make these kinds of remarks at this time. Such a really fraught and tense moment. Here in Maricopa County is just bad.

Infuriating.

Of course the media has been parroting the clipped remarks.

12 News claimed:

“She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? Let’s see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face.”

AZ Family:

Trump called Cheney “a deranged person” and added, “But the reason she couldn’t stand me is that she always wanted to go to war with people. If it were up to her we’d be in 50 different countries.”

The former president continued: “She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with the rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her. OK, let’s see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face.

“You know they’re all war hawks when they’re sitting in Washington in a nice building saying, oh gee, well, let’s send 10,000 troops right into the mouth of the enemy,” Trump said.

NBC News:

“She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her,” Trump said. “Okay, let’s see how she feels about it. You know when the guns are trained on her face — you know, they’re all war hawks when they’re sitting in Washington in a nice building.”

I’ve investigated Trump’s comments by reading them and am certain they don’t violate Arizona law. If they do, Arizona law, then that law violates the First Amendment. That took about 15 seconds.

The Arizona AG is the one breaking the law, but this is how Arizona Democrats in power role. Trump just called Liz Cheney a Chickenhawk. Which she is. So is her father Daddy War Bucks Dick Cheney.

I think there should be an investigation. An investigation by the new Trump administration DOJ of the Arizona AG for election interference and conspiracy to violate civil rights.

Saying in essence, ‘darn politicians should have to fight the wars they send other people to fight and see how they like it’ used to be a common complaint about war.

Throwing mud and then accusing the one hit with the mud of being dirty. Another classic Dem ploy.

Mayes and other AZ Ds won power by a very slim margin, and the expected incompetence in the R primaries. She has to jump and wave to get support

This is the definition of desperation! Websters should use this as their go-to meaning as the example of its definition.

Folks, if Harris somehow manages to do the unimaginable and win this thing, this kind of abuse of law enforcement authority is going to accelerate in a way not many Americans have really ever experienced first hand. It’s gonna get real ugly, real quick. This is the very predictable outcome of any country where one party/ideology controls all the cultural and political levers of power.

Kris Mayes is a Dem hack, and he can pound rocks.
What a special little snowflake he is.

Cindy McCain is the Machiavellian AZ puppet master.

This illustrates a complete abuse of power and why people are fed up with the lawfare and weaponization of government.

“I have already asked my criminal division chief to start looking at that statement, analyzing it for whether it qualifies as a death threat under Arizona’s laws,” Mayes said on Friday.

Even if it were – and it obviously was not – what the hell would that have to do with Arizona?

The Arizona Ag was heard saying … “with the swipe of my hand …”

The Arizona AG needs to be perp-walked right now and held over for trial in the case of his clear abuse of power and election interference. Frankly, false charges and intentional abuse of law enforcement powers like this are among the worst crimes against society that there are. This is why the prohibition against bearing false witness made the top ten commandments.

These people CANNOT be allowed to continue to commit overt and clear crimes like this and never be punished appropriately for them. This must stop. It must be stopped. This POS needs to get 30 to life for criminally abusing one of the most powerful positions in the state.
