Kamala Harris Campaign Surrogate Gina Raimondo Makes Excuses for Lack of Policy Details, Explanations

“She has a punishing schedule out and about, everywhere, being with the people who she wants to elect her. But I guess, look, tomorrow night it will be on display, it’ll be a robust debate.”

Former Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo is the current commerce secretary for the Biden administration and a surrogate for the Kamala Harris presidential campaign.

She appeared on CNBC on Monday to answer questions about what to expect in the presidential debate between Harris and Trump. When she was pressed on Kamala’s lack of policy details and press access, she excused it away, citing Harris’s schedule.

The Daily Caller reported:

Biden-Harris Cabinet Secretary Claims ‘Punishing Schedule’ Makes It Impossible For Kamala To Answer Questions

Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo attempted to explain Monday why Vice President Kamala Harris has done limited interviews, citing the vice president’s busy schedule.

Aside from an Aug. 29 interview with CNN host Dana Bash alongside Democratic Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota, Harris has not granted a sit-down interview or press conference since President Joe Biden announced he was ending his reelection bid July 21. Raimondo attempted to deflect “Squawk Box” co-host Joe Kernen’s questions about Harris’ not interacting with reporters by claiming that Harris is “talking to Americans.”

“This is a presidential election like no other. She only has a few weeks to do everything, and she’s spending her time talking to Americans,” Raimondo told Kernen. “She has a punishing schedule out and about, everywhere, being with the people who she wants to elect her. But I guess, look, tomorrow night it will be on display, it’ll be a robust debate. I guess from where I see it, and were I still in my old role as a governor, or prior to that I ran a business, I see in her somebody who has a vision, who’s been really clear about her desire to help businesses and small businesses. You know, she — she talks about being pro-business, pro-worker at the same time.”

See the clip below:

Watch more of Raimondo’s appearance below, it’s really something. She hypes Kamala Harris as someone who is going to be great for businesses while taxing the rich. She then maligns Trump’s economic policies, even though Trump’s first term was excellent for the economy before Covid hit.

The whole ‘tax the billionaires’ thing that Raimondo repeatedly mentions is right out of the Bernie Sanders playbook. Is this now officially part of the Democratic party platform?

The billionaire’s thing is going nowhere. Otherwise billionaires would not be supporting Harris. Why is Wall Street supporting Harris? Follow the money. Democrats claim to be for minorities, the poor and women, but they subjugate them all with cheap handouts and puerile rhetoric.

The Weasel Queen. She’ll be remembered for changing the name of the smallest state from “The State Of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations” after being perfectly acceptable for almost 250 years. She disgusts me.

There is truth being shared here. Kamala, who has never really worked hard over the course of her entire adult life (except perhaps in the service of Willie Brown) is now finding a busy schedule, travel, deadlines etc. to be “punishing “.

Boo, fu@$ing Hoo.

Our amiable host to the contrary, Rhode Island is a complete joke. It was founded by people that were kicked out of Massachusetts (seriously, how bad do you need to be?) four hundred years ago.

Considering the blathering of Gov. Raimondo here, not much has changed in the meantime.

Heck there are counties that are larger and more populated that Rhode Island. I say we all Connecticut to absorb it.

I read Harris’ policy page. What a freakin joke. Is she running for student president? All that was missing was a pledge to make school lunches free.

🤡 🤡 🤡

Not only is our county larger than Rhode Island, the service area of our local small-town high school is larger than Rhode Island (in land area).

Is Kamala’s “punishing schedule” anything like Joe’s? What beaches does she prefer?

NOt to mention that she was a horrible governor of RI and mismanaged the retirement funds of all the state employees. I have a personal reason to despise this woman given she “lost” my father’s retirement funds after 30 years of teaching and has faced zero consequences for it . No one should be listening to economic advice from this vile fraudster. She is the epitome of a far left socialist who acts like she wants to do things for “ the people” but screws over the working masses.

The voters are deciding who to vote for based on what policies they think will be the best for them and country. To claim she is too busy to tell the public shows her inability to properly prioritize what’s important, emphasizes her feeling of her own importance as an individual, and shows an utter disregard for the office, the people, and the nation. This is a complete fail in leadership.

“The voters are deciding who to vote for based on what policies they think will be the best for them and country.”
Not at all true, but would represent a great improvement in our voters’ intelligence.
Many of them are voting in the same mindless manner they root for hometown sports teams.

Maybe 10-15% of voters do an actual analysis. The rest are voting Tram Red or Team Blue with some voting on fascination with Trump or based on gender/race.

What is happening though is a shift in alignment as some folks particularly ‘black’ and ‘latino’ males who were d/prog voters have opened up their eyes and seen how their votes were taken for granted and the impact of both off shoring US manufacturing and cheap imported labor has had on their economic prospects.

Like Bernie Sanders said everything she says before the election is just poppycock if elected she’ll go right back to her work ways of the Harris and Biden Administration

Punishing schedule??? Never forget that values drive policies. Her “values have not changed.” Therefore, her 3 1/2 years of policies are out there for everyone to see and she should be able to discuss them extemporaneously, like Trump does all the time – from casting the key tie-breaking votes in the Senate on the 2 giant spending bills that drove the inflation to the consequences of open borders and being “Border Czar”.

Her name sounds like a character out of the movie ‘Idiocracy.’

by punishing schedule she means

facing herself each day

When Trump Cabinet Secretaries joined him on the campaign trail, spoke at the convention and made media appearances in support of his reelection, the usual media suspects cried: Hatch Act. Not a single one of those same outlets have said Bupkis about Raimondo, Granholm and other Biden Cabinet Secretaries – particularly Buttegeig – who have been Biden and then Harris’ strongest, most visible surrogates.

Here’s how Rollcall described the ‘problem’ in 2020:

The effort creates potential ethical pitfalls for federal officials who face limits on political work

Excuses are BS. Kamala’s not answering questions because she’s dumb and being controlled by her handlers. I know her spokespeople can’t say that out loud, but that’s the message.
