Vance Slams Gov. Beshear for Suggesting a Vance Family Member Get Pregnant Through Rape
Beshear also said the quiet part out loud: They want abortion as the only option for women who have been raped.
I am mad that people clipped Kentucky Gov. Any Beshear’s comments on Morning Joe.
1) He said Vance should “go through” the trauma of having a family member getting pregnant by rape.
2) Then Beshear claims the raped woman has no options if she’s denied an abortion.
3) The host and Beshear LIED about Vance’s 2021 comments.
What a sick and cruel man.
Vance responded: “After speaking on the DNC main stage last night, Harris campaign surrogate Governor Andy Beshear went on national television this morning and explicitly called for a member of Senator Vance’s family to be raped. His comments are disgusting, vile, and should not be tolerated in American politics. We call on Kamala Harris to immediately repudiate Governor Beshear’s comments and demonstrate that regardless of partisan disagreements, this kind of violent rhetoric has no place in our public discourse.” – William Martin, Vance Communications Director.
I found the whole video. Yes, the Vance comments are horrendous. Saying abortion is the only option is just as bad (emphasis mine):

Not just from where you’re from. Not just for your friend group but for all of America. That’s why Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the right ticke. They’re the right people. I’m really excited to support them and this is one crucial reason.

The ordinary form is “You’d feel different if somebody you took care of was raped,” and “the principle is life an any case.”
Neither feelings nor dogma matter. What you want is a law that gets maximum votes, which is somewhere in the middle. Roughly where a fetus can be portrayed as cute on ultrasound. Say 15 weeks. Problem solved.

Taking care of cute things is a positive thing for society and is easy to encourage, votewise. What you want is a stable vote. Then it’s no longer an issue. The dogmatists have no hope of changing it in favor of their dogma, nor to the choice libertarians. You get long enough to find out you’re pregnant even in unusual cases, and abortions that happen don’t seem outrageous to a huge majority.

Abortion is a H U G E issue for boomer women. Hillary and Elizabeth Warren types. But that cohort is aging out, and millennials and Gen Xers don’t care about the issue anywhere near as much. Let ’em die on that hill.
I had a friend in high school who had a very troubled past and she was raped, got pregnant and kept the baby. And it changed her life in the bets of ways, as she started seeing hings differently and ended up going on to college and becoming a lawyer. This is after barely even attending school before her pregnancy. So not everyone is the same, thinks the same or needs the same things. Abortion post rape is not an automatic given for everyone, and I’m sure lots of other people have similar stories to mine. The point is that women should have options and choices when in that horrible situation because these types of decisions stay with us for a lifetime.

a young lady from our church was raped in college. she refused to abort. did everything prenatal she was suppose to, he plan was to deliver the baby and put the baby up for adoption.
at 6 months she miscarried.

But you’ve just described the entire American justice system — and largely thanks to Democrats.
Are you a shoplifted Walmart manager? A victimized subway traveler? Impoverished from Floyd-enhanced arson? Lost your home to wildfire thanks to a pagan-goddess-worshiping water czar? A sightseer who stayed between the ropes in the US Capitol and took selfies? A student robbed of the classes she paid for by demonstrating terrorists?
Then you, too, have been harmed, have no recourse, and you will never be made whole. Why do 99% careless women get a preferred carve-out?

Because Democrats agree with him. They’d love to see anyone who opposes them raped, killed, whatever. They want you to SUFFER for daring to think differently.
Beshear is a Democrat. As such, he believes that no consequences for any action should fall on anyone on his side. He believes that children are something inflicted on people, and should not be. He believes that every harm can and should fall on anyone who disagrees with him in any way. And he believes that if the day should come when people get tired of being abused by him and his, that somehow mercy should be shown them. Speaking as a student of history . . . it won’t be.
