FBI Director Wray Admits Trump Shooter Flew Drone Near Stage Hours Before Rally
Crooks also had three explosive devices.
FBI Director Christopher Wray admitted that Thomas Matthews Crooks flew a drone near former President Donald Trump’s stage hours before the rally.
Hours before he tried to kill Trump:
WRAY: “It appears that around 3: 50 p.m., 4:00 in that window, on the day of the shooting, that the shooter was flying the drone around the area –”
JORDAN: “Two hours before –”
WRAY: “– about 11 minutes. I want to be clear, when I say the area. Not over the stage and that part of the area itself, but I would say about 200 yards, give or take, away –”
JORDAN: “OK.”
WRAY: “– from that. We — we think, but we do not know. So again, this is one of these things that’s qualified because of our ongoing review that he was live-streaming, you know, viewing the footage from that. Again, about 11 minutes in around the 3:50, 4:00 p.m. range.”
FBI Director Wray says that Thomas Crooks, the attempted Trump assassin, was flying a drone about 200 yds from the stage where Trump spoke about two hours before the rally, "live streaming."
Also says FBI recovered 3 explosive devices, 2 in Crook's car and one in his home. pic.twitter.com/sT7rmuCl0H

If Wray is interested in specific answers to details about what happened in Butler he can simply ask Crook’s FBI handler.
What? Crazy you say? Would you have said the same thing about Whitey Bulger?
I would have just asked his brother Billy — the president of the MA Senate.
This just gets better and better.
Kimberly Cheatle would say, “ A drone in and of itself would not necessarily be suspicious or constitute a threat, but would be noted as an aerial equipage of interest and be input as one factor in our protection matrix algorithm, to be considered by the brave women and men who sacrifice so much and put their lives on the line every moment 24/7/365.”
If only the Secret Service has access to such advanced technology they could have thwarted the assassination attempt.
Well, there’s Costco….
Well, that would explain how Crooks knew that roof was unguarded and how to access it. But it also raises the question of why the Secret Service didn’t have drones of their own to keep watch over the venue, especially given their limited resources.
No, the question is why the SS didn’t file a temporary flight restriction for the site for the 24-48 hours before the event. All the drones I know honor them, and won’t fly into them and won’t take off inside one.

but on the otherside
we have another dei champ …kamala harris on our side
I’d really be curious as to what they’re calling “explosive devices”. I’ve seen them call those inert hand grenades with the number 1 tag that says “complaint department, take a number” an “explosive device”.
Were these legitimate devices intended to be used as bombs? I could buy the ones in the car as being legit…but why leave one at home?
Something else that’s occurred to me: The rifle was his dad’s. His parents called the police to report him missing on that day. So I assume he lives at home.
They say they found 15 additional firearms at his home…but that wasn’t his home so much as his Dad’s home. He used his dad’s rifle for the attack…so who did those 15 firearms really belong to? If they were his Dad’s how is that relevant to the attack? His Dad didn’t shoot anyone. Heck, even if they belonged to the shooter, how are guns that were nowhere near the venue relevant to the attack? How is the alleged “explosive device” found in the home relevant to the attack?
Sounds like they’re just trying to demonstrate how bad this guy was by condemning the tools he had at his father’s home. “Oh, look, he had a skillsaw, a crowbar and a roll of duct tape at his home…he must be a terrorist” or something.
Not to mention making such a big deal about the number of guns. Most people can only use one…maybe two at most…at a time. What makes the number of guns he had at home relevant? 15 guns isn’t a huge number for a “gun enthusiast”. That’s about what I’ve got and I’m a piker compared to lots of people I know.
“Oh, look, he had a skillsaw, a crowbar and a roll of duct tape at his home…he must be a terrorist” or something.
Much like the laughing at the “arsenal” of some bad guys when the cops have their press conference, this would be a “Piker!” moment. “Dude, that’s just what’s in my bugout bag!” “Heck, I’ve got the battery-operated reciprocating saw, the large tarps, the duct tape, and the parachute cord in my trunk ALL the time!”
When I as younger and much more naive, I had a police officer in my apartment while at college. I witnessed my upstairs neighbor had threatened his girlfriend with a firearm, so I called the police. One responded and I let him into my apartment to discuss the call and what I had witnessed. I had just started reloading and had visible 100 casings I had cleaned, resized, and reprimed, but had not added powder or bullets. I later was subject to a search warrant because I had an “arsenal” of bullets and “body armor” that was literal medieval plate on a display dummy. Apparently, this made me suspicious and a judge agreed I needed to be searched because I was up to no good. I thought it was crazy.
I’ll never believe any police characterization of any event after that.
“how are guns that were nowhere near the venue relevant to the attack?”
Slander points… for “having an arsenal.”
But meanwhile… anyone besides me flabbergasted at how little attention the parents are getting in the press? Gee, almost as little as the tranny shooter’s parents. Meanwhile, the MSM had proctoscope technicians working the Rittenhouse family full time.
They often make a big deal about the amount of ammo found at the home of a mass shooter. “Police found 2,000 rounds of ammunition at the shooter’s home.” But the only ammo that counts are the rounds that were expended. I imagine that such shooters thought, “I’ll get thousands of rounds of ammo, and show them how a mass shooting is supposed to be done!” At least that’s what they may think until the ammo is delivered to their homes and they then find out how much that amount of ammo weighs. Very discouraging.
Yea, that one always gets me too. I’m a reloader, plus since the last couple of ammo droughts I’ve been leaning toward a “there is no such thing as too much” attitude with regard to ammo, primers, powder, etc.
The end result is if any of those hyperventilating “he had 2,000 rounds of ammunition!!!11!!!1!” screamers saw my stash they’d have an aneurysm.
I read today that Crooks bought the rifle from his father. Also that both parents are therapists.
Heard on the radio that his dad weighs 300 lbs. Can’t confirm any of this.
And they want President Trump to stop all large outdoor rally’s
So pathedic
not stopping the attempt on djt is part of the systemic plan
the agenda is clear…dei is normalized while meritocracy is “too white”
so they focus on men having babies
women who are under qualified to do most ,,not allll ,,but most of the physical jobs…to be hired and in the spotlight when its in their favor to do so
rooting out pro american agenda is their goal
BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY
why dont they ask them if they support communism???
then ask them to go on record saying they dont support communist organizations
then of course…blmplo!!!!
Wanna bet the Feds try to blame this on local authorities as well?
They’re already doing this when they try to point the finger at the BPD when the protection of the president/presidential candidates falls under their purview, period, end of story.
Someone made the point today then when the USSS contacts local LE for a joint protection operation, the USSS is the lead agency. That means they’re responsible for the dispositions of local LE resources. Any failure by local LE that isn’t due to their state of readiness (training & equipment) is the USSS’s failure (the plan, dispositions & responsibilities, protectee movement, comms, etc.).
From reports, someone was so kind to scrub the shooter’s home clean prior to officials visiting the house. I didn’t realize the Feds or such had a “Better Homes and Gardens” team.
I’m think of the venerable law firm, Crooks, Cheatum, and Howe.
Crooks, Cheatle and Wray…
Mr. Kaplan.
Given the FIBs recent history, it makes you wonder what they AREN’T telling us…
I can’t fly a drone over reconstructed piles of dirt because the National Park Service filed TFRs for every scrap of land they own, but the Secret Service couldn’t be bothered to declare one 24-48 hours before a presidential appearance?
I think many of our problems stem from “Women’s Lib.”
“Woman are just as good as men.” Yes, but they are different.
“Women can do anything men can do.” Wrong.
“Men can have babies.” What??
“Women can become men, and vice versa.” Is this a joke??
Short female SS agents who can’t cover the protectee, holster their pistols or keep their composure—what the heck??
Women shouldn’t try to prove that they are men, or as good as men. Just be women; vive la difference! You are indispensable.
