Michigan Man Suspected of Driving Over Elderly Trump Supporter Commits Suicide After Identified

The Michigan man suspected of beating an elderly man in a “politically motivated” attack over a sign supporting former President Donald Trump committed suicide.
One of the attacks left an elderly man in critical condition, according to Ashe Schow at The Daily Wire.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a 22-year-old man who confessed to “a crime involving an ATV driver within the last 24 hours.” He asked the police to “send someone to pick me up.”
The police showed up, discovering a dead man “with a single self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
“Deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence and recovered several electronic devices, which will be searched by computer forensic specialists,” wrote the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office.
The office added: “Additional evidence was located including the four-wheeler used during the incident in the city as well as clothing that the suspect had been wearing during the original incident.”
The attacks happened in Hancock County.
The Hancock Police Department said a man on an ATV was involved in “three different incidents” it labeled as “politically motivated.”
The victims had Trump election signs in their yard.
“Two of the incidents incidents involved vehicles that were intentionally vandalized,” the police wrote in a press release.
Then, at 5:45 PM, “the same subject driving an ATV (4-wheel) allegedly with intention to do harm drove into the residence yard, running over an 80-year-old male who was posting a political sign in his yard.”
The elderly man remains in critical condition.

Reading that whole story it’s pretty clear that kid had severe mental problems and not just the standard TDS. Everyone failed to get that man the help he needed.

Houghton County, MI 41.8% of the people voted Democrat in the last presidential election, 56.0% for Trump.
In my opinion it’s the most beautiful part of Michigan. Dad grew up there, we went there on vacations all the time. Part of the copper boom that was richer than the cali gold rush.
Great place, but the college grew and so did the area. Still beautiful but way more crowded.

Yeah, I recall this. An outrageous injustice, arising out of a clear-cut case of vehicular homicide, in which the perp admitted his motive was to attack a conservative and/or Trump-supporter.
I think that was in SD. Perp ran over a young kid and was sentenced to an incredibly lenient sentence.
That was the headline, but if I recall correctly it turned out to have nothing to do with politics.
You can’t always go by what people say about their motives, let alone about other people’s motives.

My mother “voted” in the 2020 election, two months after she died. There are always “helpful” people coming to nursing homes to fill out ballots and go turn them in. That’s why ballot harvesting needs to be banned everywhere.
Yes, “helpful” people. When my wife and I moved from CA to Idaho in 2021, we sent in forms to officially cancel our voter registrations. We didn’t want any “helpful” democrats voting for us. Incredibly when we checked online a couple months later, we were no longer registered there.

This will sound sick and I apologize but I took it as a hopeful sign that he killed himself. I believe that somewhat subconsciously he recognized that when Trump becomes president he would be held accountable for his actions.
The ‘Act-out-your-feelings’ crowd will throw a few more major tantrums next summer, but in the back of their minds they know that Daddy is coming home and he’s not going to put up with their bullshit any more.
Did anyone notice after Trump’s attempted assassination the talking heads called for peace and less violence politically and that BOTH sides needed to calm down? When was the last time someone on the right did anything like these violent acts? I do not know the cause but our society has dropped to a new low when it comes to reason or resorting to violence over minor things. Much of it evolved from “Street” people over shoes and being dissed but it has seeped into polite company as well. Road rage and encounters at sports facilities are prime examples of the loss of common sense. With 10 million illegals here, it may be time to forget a solution and prepare for the future in a much more dangerous world. I wish I could offer some advice on the preparations, but there is not much preparation with cellphone flash mobs and bad neighborhoods. The first places to become uninhabitable are big cities and illegal’s sanctuary areas. They will not go to the police no matter the crimes they face and crime festers there.
