CNN: Biden Not Dropping Out, Still Committed to September Debate

The man behind the curtain is strong.

LOL.

CNN reported that President Joe Biden refuses to drop out of the debate and determined to participate in the September debate.

Nope. He insists he won’t drop out.

I actually think if they put that centrist gal from Hawaii on that ticket she’d have a chance.

But that will never happen because the Democrat party is an organized crime racket. So is the GOP, but Trump thumped them anyway.

stevewhitemd in reply to Andy. | June 28, 2024 at 2:59 pm

Tulsi Gabbard. She’s make a good VP for Mr. Trump but he won’t go there.

geronl in reply to stevewhitemd. | June 28, 2024 at 3:15 pm

Putting a liberal Democrat on the ticket would lose more votes than it gains and sets up a liberal Democrat for 8 years as President. No conservative should want that.

henrybowman in reply to geronl. | June 28, 2024 at 4:54 pm

Tulsi isn’t a liberal Democrat any longer… but she still sucks on guns. If you’re going to buy ice cream, don’t buy the codfish ice cream just because it’s on sale.

CommoChief in reply to henrybowman. | June 28, 2024 at 9:14 pm

We got enough folks who mirror her positions in the corridors of GoP power already. Hard pass as VP. Maybe in another position where her positions match/align with those of Trump but still….be wary.

cliffordshuttleworth in reply to stevewhitemd. | June 29, 2024 at 8:47 pm

The ideal VP choice for Trump is Condeleeza Rice. Both from a political as well as governance standpoint.

    diver64 in reply to Andy. | June 28, 2024 at 7:28 pm

Tulsi is not really a centrist but she is a serious person. I’ve been saying Trump/Tulsi since last year. If not VP then VA Director. Vet, Nurse. Perfect fit

      CommoChief in reply to diver64. | June 28, 2024 at 9:17 pm

VA might be a good fit. She actually gives a hoot about Veterans though her 2A record and the institutional history/attitude of VA and 2A would make me a little nervous.

Or the dems could just put Niki Haley on.

“News: Biden campaign having an all staff meeting this afternoon after last night’s debate”

Lol, I bet they are and Biden is not invited. Been watching the meltdown all afternoon. They all knew how bad he was but I guess they thought they could drag him over the finish line and save their jobs. Combine that debacle of last night with SCOTUS driving A stake through Chevron and the administrative state is in full meltdown

    4fun in reply to TargaGTS. | June 28, 2024 at 9:14 pm

We should start a letter campaign encouraging joie to keep at and that we think he won the debate. And compliment his wife on her elegant ways.

YESSSS!

Why not hope that FJB does run? AND keeps *Giggles* as Veep.

The pResident has blown his cover even for those die hard libtards, so more and better confusion can be the ticket.

Can’t wait to crank up the popcorn machine and watch FJB’s next “performance.” No amount of chemicals will set anything right for that MORON!

Bobo will have a “medical event” before the next debate and it will go to an open convention between Gavin, Gretchen and Wes Moore.

This offers him a dignified exit.

Biden will not be the nominee. I’ll put money on it. Then I’ll write to Sen. Clyburn in SC and DEMAND that Biden be the nominee – otherwise you are disenfranchising all those black voters that voted for him in the primary. Let’s throw that “disenfranchising” and “threat to democracy” stuff back in their faces.

    The_Mew_Cat in reply to walls. | June 28, 2024 at 3:54 pm

Only way Biden is not the nominee is if he is dead or has a stroke – which could happen. He certainly doesn’t have another 4 years in him, and I doubt he has 4 months.

      Hodge in reply to The_Mew_Cat. | June 28, 2024 at 4:27 pm

Mew-Cat – how many sets of stairs stand between Joe Biden and November? One too many, I’d guess. A tragedy certainly but no one will be at fault except Joe himself*

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | June 28, 2024 at 2:35 pm

The man behind the curtain is strong.

Trump and the Republicans need to start demanding to know who is actually running the Executive branch, because it’s clear to everyone that Traitor Joe isn’t. That’s why Traitor Joe is able to spend more than a third of his time on vacation. Who is doing the actual work.

Trump needs to start calling Traitor Joe “The Prop”. And a factory-second prop, at that.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | June 28, 2024 at 2:42 pm

Watching DOCTOR Jill Biden in the beginning (with Traitor Joe standing in the background like a potted plant), she is clearly living out her Eva Peron fantasies. We are going to need the jaws of life to pry her from the White House.

JoeBama will need that 2nd debate to finish the sentences he started in the first debate…

E Howard Hunt | June 28, 2024 at 2:49 pm

Trump should decline the second debate by stating that he does not wish to be indicted for elder abuse with each debate response constituting a separate count.

CommoChief in reply to E Howard Hunt. | June 28, 2024 at 2:57 pm

Or demand two more debates on his terms. Perhaps going onto Joe Rogan podcast for debate #3 and onto TC for debate #4 with mics on the whole time and both hosts willing to call BS on a candidate who makes things up.

      diver64 in reply to CommoChief. | June 28, 2024 at 7:44 pm

JRE would be genius. Get 10x the audience. Rogan would be fair to both I think. Maybe get Tim Poole and Dave Smith in to help. JRE could actually pick up the phone and get anybody down to Austin. Hold it in his club and live stream it. 10-20 million I bet watching

2smartforlibs | June 28, 2024 at 2:49 pm

It’s an easy win for Trump so we need to keep the rotting bag in but we need to vote and keep the pressure on others like we are 10 points down—no red-wave talk.

The man behind the curtain is strong.
That’s no man, baby! That’s Dr Jill!

Ann in L.A. | June 28, 2024 at 2:54 pm

1) They have 40 days to get a replacement on the Ohio ballot–that’s before their convention. They would have to hold a behind-the-scenes pseudo primary among over 3,000 delegates, have them all vote remotely, then submit the paperwork to Ohio by August 7th. Or, they don’t have a Dem nominee on the Ohio ballot, which will affect other races on the ticket.

2) As the WSJ pointed out in their Q&A today, the tens of millions of dollars of money donated to the Biden-Harris ticket can only be used by Biden or Harris. Anyone else, and they go back to the fundraising drawing board.

In my mind, that means Biden will be the nominee. The Dems were willfully blind, and ran out the clock on themselves.

TargaGTS in reply to Ann in L.A.. | June 28, 2024 at 4:26 pm

With respect to #1, I think there’s a VERY good chance Biden will run behind most other Ohio Dems, particularly in the statewide race. Sherrod Brown will surely beat Biden’s Ohio totals, probably by a considerable margin. Still, I think you’re certainly correct that they’ll still want someone on that Ohio ballot because it would look so bad otherwise.

With respect to #2, fundraising is definitely a prickly issue for them moving forward. But, it’s probably a prickly issue either way. No one wants to financially back a sure-fire loser and that’s exactly what Biden is now.

henrybowman in reply to Ann in L.A.. | June 28, 2024 at 5:02 pm

But is this a big deterrent?
We’ve already seen that you can run a dead man on a ballot and he can win, and be replaced by his party with a live man. Otherwise, the election would automatically go to the other party, and… well… “we can’t have that.”
For a presidential election, the Electoral College is a complication, but in fact that makes things even easier for them. You’re not actually voting for Joe, you’re voting for his electors. So if Joe dies, his electors can legally vote for whomever else the party tells them.

CommoChief in reply to henrybowman. | June 28, 2024 at 9:31 pm

As I understand the DNC rule Biden controls the delegates once they are ‘awarded’ by whatever convoluted process the DNC is using in lieu of a competitive primary. IOW the delegates can’t change horses without his permission so unless Joe (and more likely Jill) agree to be replaced it isn’t as.easy to do as some believe.

Then the problem is ballot access. Not every State allows a change on the ballot ‘just because’. So they can change candidates but may be stuck with ballots listing Biden. That isn’t as simple as ‘oh, it is a proxy for a slate of electors so these electors can just vote for someone else’. Each State has different laws about how or whether an elector can legally become faithless. For that matter all this gotta be litigated and as we saw in ’20 the Judiciary is very apt to kick all these sorts of complicated questions past the certification date cut off.

Bottom line is lots of unanswered questions and lots of assumptions that may or may not hold up + lots of litigation to figure out what is/isn’t allowable under what conditions and along what timeline.

nordic prince in reply to CommoChief. | June 29, 2024 at 8:20 am

        “DNC rule”

We’ve all seen that the Ds don’t give a flying fig as to what rules, regulations, laws, or propriety are – they do whatever the hell they want to do, no questions asked and no repercussions later. They are the most amoral creatures in existence today.

CommoChief in reply to nordic prince. | June 29, 2024 at 8:54 am

Sure that’s their history and inclination BUT even if the elders of the National Party decides to do X that doesn’t mean that the each State d/prog party will accept it. Let’s not minimize the legal impediments in many States to changing the name on the ballot or whether that slate of electors is even allowed to choose someone other than the name on the ballot.

Then there’s the issue of agreement from the various tribal groups that comprise the d/prog coalition. Remember that Biden was the candidate b/c he was viewed as a kindly avatar to combat Trump. He was not who they d/prog necessarily wanted but instead was viewed as an acceptable compromise to defeat Trump in ’20 ….and in Biden’s own words to ‘serve as a bridge’ to new generation of d/prog candidates.

Then the question of WHO could be an acceptable replacement that doesn’t split or disappoint/depress the base d/prog voters they need to show up. Kick Harris to curb for who and probably PO both black and immigrant tribes. Seems risky. Stick with Harris? As the VP she is the natural successor but she is a horrible retail and wholesale politician. She won in CA due to the d/prog machine infrastructure anointing her and flamed out spectacularly in the ’20 d/prog primary being rescued for service as VP by the nominal leader of ‘black tribe’ Jim Clyburn who insisted upon her as VP as the trade for his approval and that of his ‘tribe’.

There isn’t a simple strait forward path where the elders at the DNC send an email to the Secretary of State in each Territory and State and the name on the ballot is swapped out. Nor can the DNC just ignore State laws in 50 very different States re ballot access, changing horses, the freedom (or not) of electors to become ‘faithless’. Then there’s gonna be the possibility of counter lawfare from the GoP challenging all this crap to tie it up. Do a little Judge shopping and it could be very interesting to watch.

The DNC may act like a spoiled toddler throwing a tantrum but that doesn’t mean they will automatically get their desired result if they try swapping horses this late. Especially when they refused to hold a competitive primary and use some of the same State laws/party rules to keep RFK off the primary ballot.

randian in reply to Ann in L.A.. | June 28, 2024 at 10:24 pm

the tens of millions of dollars of money donated to the Biden-Harris ticket can only be used by Biden or Harris

Can’t legally be used by anyone else. Since when did the Democrats care about such trivialities?

Trump has already played the game and won. Biden’s like the loser who wants to go for double or nothing. There’s no need to do it again.

Have you heard Biden’s Raleigh, NC campaign speech from earlier this afternoon. Joe’s campaign had him juiced up (SOTU style) and with a new speech on teleprompters on a full ad hominem attack on DJT. Biden’s campaign has launched its counter-offensive this afternoon.
    It’s war.

The Dems are just proving (again) that who sits in the seat doesn’t matter. They can run the show the wings with an incompetent figurehead. Diehard Dems will vote for the Dem candidate simply because it IS the Dem candidate – this election will be their proof.

Best news I’ve heard all day. Always said DementiaJoe is a retard and he’s proving it in spades

There will be a intraparty civil war now.

SeymourButz | June 28, 2024 at 3:13 pm

The only downside is we won’t be able to watch the next Democrat in line answer why they were the second choice

Has anyone given any thought to what happens if next month Judge Merchan gives Trump a sentence that includes 90 days in prison?

Like the famous parable of the emperors new clothes, no one will tell Joe that his brain is chicken soup. But of course not they like that he’s an empty shell that they can control and manipulate. Who are the they ? I’m guessing the same unelected bureaucrats that Biden and Obama put in office back in 2008.

Joe doesn’t know how bad off he is. And no one has bothered to tell him because his delusion is their gravy train.

“Dr.” Jill should be doing prison time.

Wade Hampton | June 28, 2024 at 3:31 pm

Big question is, what happens to his fund raising efforts, over the next few weeks? Whst if he drops out or is forced out? What becomes of the funds alreafy donated to the Biden campaign, can he give to another candidate or does he have to return them? Lots of questions.

Whatever one may think of Donald Trump, he’s a competent negotiator. He agreed to last nights’ “debate” because that was the only way Biden would debate. Now the shoe’s on the other foot and Biden desperately needs another debate to attempt to rehabilitate himself. I suspect a second debate is more likely to be “moderated” by Mark Levin and Sean Hannity than by the likes of Tapper/Bash. Biden used his leverage to stack the deck and still got his ass kicked. Let’s see how he does when the deck is stacked against–rather than for–him.

Will Biden have any cognition remaining by then?

    The_Mew_Cat in reply to thalesofmiletus. | June 28, 2024 at 3:56 pm

Will he even be among the living?

It’s hard to say. He’s obviously experiencing some severe cognitive issues. He needs a thorough mental and physical exam (probably already had one and is secretly taking meds).

It’s clear that he’s going downhill and his condition is worsening. The DOJ investigation said he was mentally unfit to stand trial. And if he’s unfit to stand trial he’s unfit to hold office..

Steven Brizel | June 28, 2024 at 3:44 pm

This election will mirror 1968-LBJ decided not to run, and HHH was nominated as a default candidate after RFK’s assasination. The anti war left sat out the election and Nixon won, but the left took over the machinery and the Democrats only won in 1976 as a result of backlash to the pardoning of Nixon and when Clinton ran as a moderate. Democrats only win when they run as moderates but tend to govern to the left which leads to Republicans like Reagan and Trump picking up votes from dissafected Democrats. Don’t be shocked if in the wake of this election, the woke base of the Democrats purge all moderates and supporters of Israel

Maybe they will but it may not work out how they hope. If the only group willing to directly combat a particular social/legal issue that a large majority of ordinary Citizens view as critical to their survival are the ‘fascists’…..eventually the ordinary Citizens gonna hand power to the ‘fascists’ …not b/c they particularly want or agree with everything the ‘fascists’ stand for but b/c there was no other option among mainstream political parties. Sooner or latter when a nail keeps sticking up someone chooses to hammer it back down and follow will choose to reward the person with the hammer and the willingness to use it…at least in the short term.

If Trump is the Devil incarnate and the greatest threat to Democracy to ever exist, this is their only logical response. Otherwise, the Democrats are all phonies and just gaslighting their constituents. I am not at all sure that Trump will do as well against another opponent, except for Harris, and the Dems may be realizing that as well. (Get her to step aside with the promise of the next SCOTUS seat?)

      TargaGTS in reply to jb4. | June 28, 2024 at 7:27 pm

IDK if they can really promise a SCOTUS seat if for no other reason than Sotomayor’s reluctance to retire. But, even if they could manage to get Sotomayor to leave, they only have a 51-49 Senate majority. Neither Manchen nor Sinema like Harris. There’s bad blood with both. They may not be inclined to help Harris or the Democrats.

Of course, if they could talk Big Mike into it (which I really don’t think is a possibility), they wouldn’t need to cajole Harris. They would just ignore her and nominate Michelle Obama in her hometown of Chicago.

In case there is any doubt about who the ‘man behind the curtain’ might be…. Obama is out there cleaning up Joe’s mess. They’re going to run him, and they they plan to steal it again.

Juicing Biden two days in a row is a Dr. Feelgood desperate measure. His body simply can’t take repeated daily doses of whatever cocktail they’re giving him.

The time span from 6/20 – 6/27 to see the 180 turn by MSM, DNC, CNN and all those toting Biden as able and capable to be re-elected is NOW as day is to night.
The time between now and late October has a lot more to offer.
The DNC, Obama, Clinton and the moneyed supporters due to their hubris have yet to come up with their counter game plan What ever they come up with it won’t include Biden.
It’s still Trump’s to lose.
