Idaho Bar Declares June ‘Heterosexual Awesomeness Month’
Old State Saloon to give all straight men one free beer on Mondays in June.
An Idaho Bar has just thrown down the gauntlet in the Culture War.
It has declared June “Heterosexual Awesomeness Month” and is giving straight men free beers and discounts.
“Come join us all month to celebrate heterosexuals, for without them, none of us would be here!” Old State Saloon in the city of Eagle wrote in a Facebook post announcing a month of festivities and drink specials.
Every Monday in June will be “Hetero Male Monday,” with a free draft beer given to “any heterosexual male dressed like a heterosexual male,” the bar said.
The bar even put out a call seeking a “professional” judge qualified “to determine if men’s chosen clothing is officially heterosexual,” offering $15 per hour plus free beer as compensation to anyone who “think[s] you have what it takes to determine straight threads.”
Wednesdays will be for couples, where “each heterosexual couple” will receive 15% off their bill.
It’s hard to know exactly the motive behind the move, as there are so many. The woke antics of the Bud Light debacle? The parade of cross-dressing crazy in the Biden Administration? The rotten Trump verdict?
The local rag newspaper tried to smear the novel promotion in a snide article.
The Idaho Statesman, Boise’s daily newspaper, put out a column on Friday poking fun at the controversial local watering hole and skewering its owner, Mark Fitzpatrick, for disrespecting Pride Month.
‘How exactly does a customer dress like a heterosexual male? Wear one of those “The Only Thing I Like More Than Beer Is Twins” shirts? Or the one that reads, “Cool Babe Now Go Make Me a Sandwich”?’ columnist Michael Deeds wrote.
Fitzpatrick describes himself as ‘a Christian, conservative, Constitution supporter, retired police officer, and family man’ on his Zillow listing agent profile.
In response to the Idaho Statesman piece, Fitzpatrick said Deeds didn’t ‘have the courage’ to contact him for an interview.
The bar also posted again on Saturday, saying it wouldn’t back down.
…The post added that the bar would be doing all day happy hour prices for straight females on Thursdays, and that T-shirts commemorating heterosexuals would be coming soon.
However, I suspect the bar will be swamped with new customers.
Free beers and discounts and heterosexual? That's my kind of bar

Viva la difference. Instituted by God; All natural; And you can make other little humans. Bonus: free beer! Every month is heterosexual awesomeness month.
The free beer promotion can’t hurt. You just have to look like a hetrosexual male to get one. It must drive butch lesbians nuts.
Milhouse will be here in 3, 2, … to tell us how LA can force an employee to raise the pride flag, but the saloon will be violated rights of their employees by forcing Heteronormative rules on them.
Heh.
Now if we could just get a State Bar Association to take a similar stand….. but no. It’s DEI or Death for lawyers these days.
That there are two sexes, opposite to each other, forms the basis for the complementarity and procreation that defines marriage.
There is no reason for same-sex individuals to limit their faux marriage to couples, other than to ape the practice of real marriage in order to gain social acceptance of their twisted, sick perversion.
I live close, on my way!
Prediction:
A discrimination law suit will be filed in the very near future.
Who are they discriminating against? They may be celebrating heterosexuality but they are not excluding anyone from their premises. If they were celebrated homosexuality by having the gayest or most butch looking get free beers or homosexual couples getting a discount would heterosexuals sue for discrimination?
I wish they would celebrate the right to privacy, instead.
Is that the privacy one that lets you get abortions, or the other one?
The right to ‘privacy’ that involves staving in another person’s skull, vacuuming their brain out, and then dismembering their body? That right to privacy?
Right to privacy? Or right to have people shut up and not wave their “identity” in your face?
A harmless way to make a buck. Capitalism.
It’s only 15 minutes away from my house, I’ve never been there just because I don’t really go to bars, but I’ll have to check it out and have a beer! Hopefully the alphabet brigade doesn’t torch the place!
Go Thursday at 6 – meet me there! I’ll be wearing a camo ball cap.
Tell us later your experience
In some parts of the country the local or state liquor board would find a way to shut them down, not sure about Idaho
This is definitely a risk. The bureaucracies here are certainly infested with some “tolerant” leftists. Not to the same degree as many other places, but I see their pronouns listed, libraries and schools make alphabet propaganda available, and this month Harrison Blvd is adorned with rainbow banners. And alcohol licensing here seems to be a way to hand out spoils to the favored.
I bet there’s some sort of liquor license proscription against free booze.
When I first read the headline, I understood it to mean that the Idaho Bar A s s o c i a t i o n had proclaimed ……
So idk if that was intentionally done — or it’s on me — but pretty funny either way. Thx
Same here.
There’s a typo in the LI article. It has ‘white’ in the qualifications for somebody to get a beer, but there are no such qualifications in the displayed bar policy. Let us not assume any kind of bias where none exists, please.
I’m sure that’s right. Leslie, please fix.
Fixed, thanks.
Not all hero’s wear capes.
“Idaho Bar”. A tavern, not an association of lawyers.
Given how many lawyers are alcoholics, I’m not sure there’s much difference.
Welllll…. yeah.
just not sure why governments are celebrating a persons se xual preferences
Right!!!
LOL, this is awesome! A shot across the bow of the commie indoctrination regime!
From Old State Saloon’s website: “Since we announced Hetero Awesomeness Month we’ve had some significant backlash: theft of our property, vendors refusing to fulfill our orders for ingredients, wedding catering cancelation, libel, slander – even the owner being falsely accused of being a sex offender! … But, to the credit of the community that is rational and reasonable, we’ve also received so much support from like-minded people who want to celebrate “Heterosexual Awesomeness Month” with us, and get the concept of it as being about freedom and being true to our personal values….Many have asked about sending financial support, so Give Send Go will serve as the conduit for people who want to contribute to this vision and fund the construction of a physical location specifically for traditional and faith-based events, preserving Idaho’s amazing and conservative culture. ”

Nice place but why do people always want to set up gofundme.
I find that disturbing.
Save it for severe issues
It’s a way for those of us who can’t just jump into the car and run down to some corner in Idaho to show support.
Also, for those of us whose genes make all beer taste like spoiled milk.
certainly you can collect disability for that 🙂
I just collect bourbon instead, and shrug it off.
GoFundMe will shut it down in short order for violating “community” rule. They need a GiveSendGo fund raiser.
That’s what they set up.
One more reason for those of us in Eastern Oregon to split off and join Idaho!!!
I lived in Oregon for 50 years, had to leave because that state became too stupid to live in. All my friends still there tell me it was the right thing to do. Best thing I’ve done in retirement.
I support the bar and their celebration. More power to them!
Wait a minute- this is a saloon? Here I was, hoping that Idaho’s organized lawyers were making that statement.
There are forgotten men and women all over, and it’s about time they celebrate because the large group of quiet individuals, who go about their daily lives trying to make a living and get along are taken for granted.
No assembly required. Tab A, Slot B. Embellish or improvise as opportunity provides.
Sometimes you get so used to reading nonsense that you misread a “man bites dog” headline.
