Former President Donald Trump accepted President Joe Biden’s challenge to presidential debates in June and September.
The old man released a weird video this morning, trying to act tough.
Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020. Since then, he hasn’t shown up for a debate.

“Crooked Joe Biden is the worst debater I have ever faced—he can’t put two sentences together,” Trump told Fox News Digital. “Crooked is also the worst president in the history of the United States, by far.”
Trump told Fox News Digital that “it is time for a debate to take place—even if it has to be held through the offices of the Commission on Presidential Debates, which are totally controlled by Democrats and who, as people remember, got caught cheating with me with debate sound levels.”
“I’m ready to go,” Trump said. “The dates that they proposed are fine. Anywhere. Anytime. Any place. Let’s see if Joe can make it to the stand-up podium.”
“The proposed June and early September dates are fully acceptable to me,” Trump told Fox News Digital. “I will provide my own transportation.”

The first debate takes place on CNN on June 27. Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will moderate it.
The second debate will happen on September 27 on ABC.

Apparently, the DNC was unavailable to host the debate so they picked the next best alternative: CNN. Apparently, Trump has agreed to debate under every condition stipulated by Biden – no audiences, mics that are only live during the candidate’s speaking time, whatever moderator Biden – I mean CNN – chooses. And for that, Trump gets nothing in return and no guarantees that there will be a 2nd debate under conditions set-forth by the Trump campaign.
The reality is, if Joe Biden has several weeks to prepare for a debate where he only fields questions that he knows WELL in advance, is allowed to have notes and/or an ear-piece with a laughably biased group of ‘moderators’ in a debate where there is no live audience, he’ll do just fine…because frankly, who wouldn’t under those conditions?
Team Trump should have said, ‘Great we’ll do CNN right after we do a debate hosted on X, moderated by Tucker Carlson or Joe Rogan.
Trump is such a tool. As the challenged party, HE had choice of venue. He should have insisted on advantageous turf. No, he lets the cabal do everything it was planning. He coulda been a contenduh.

Over the past several election cycles, Biden has had to debate, and like it or not, he has made it difficult for his opponents to score clear victories.
I am NOT saying that Biden won those debates, but whether it was through unprofessional gestures and noises (like those used against Paul Ryan), or just his usual BS, Biden and his moderator allies prevented his opponents from achieving the “knockouts” that were expected.
Trump should prepare, and do so very seriously. This is too important to just “wing it”.
I’ll go a step further. Trump should radically change his approach. He does come off as a petulant kindergartener “at times” (me being kind). He needs negative reinforcement during prep. A shock collar will do. Every time he interrupts, every time he calls Biden a name he gets a *buzz*.

On one hand, Biden is acknowledging that he needs a big win; on the other hand, Trump self-destructing during the first Presidential debate in 2020 probably singlehandedly handed the election to Biden.
Trump was clearly goaded into this. He’s ahead in the polls and has little to gain and much to lose.
This will be high stakes for both candidates. Trump’s polling lead may not be so set in stone if things go wrong for him.
The prospects of having two debates come off any differently for Biden than what we see every time a mike is put in front of him is going to be in keeping with what he is known to do…Face Plant Himself.
The promotional challenge video it is said that Biden required 5 cuts to put together a “14” second’ promotional clip. The follow up release were the parameters of the challenge: “No Audience’,’ No RFK, Jr’., ‘Opponent Podium Mike Shut Offs’ and ‘Dropping Of Any Comments’.
IMO I believe by placing these limitations on the debate, which technically makes it not a debate and even if Trump would (could) abide by them, It would stress Biden out to the point as we have seen, become totally incoherent.
The schedule is one debate in June and one in September.

I really don’t think people are giving the point you’re making enough weight and consideration. Trump THRIVES in front of a live audience, friendly or hostile. It energizes him and makes his larger-than-life persona seem appropriately sized. Sticking him in a sterile, lifeless CNN studio with no audience and only an opponent and a hostile interrogator (and that’s precisely what any CNN ‘moderator’ will be), is a huge mistake. It’s definitely a trap.
I can’t help feeling like this is a mistake. There is no need for trump to debate the zombie, especially when the conditions are once again rigged against him.
Trump should never have accepted it being conducted by the enemy in the enemy’s camp. If they are daring to put Biden on stage live they think they can keep it from being a bloodbath and the only way to do that is by controlling the environment so they can cheat.
They know that Biden doesn’t have a prayer in Nov if he doesn’t prove he isn’t as comatose as the world knows he is. Trump has nothing to prove by beating up on Biden on live TV and might even lose a few points to public sympathy for Biden among those who haven’t been paying attention for the last 3+ years (and there are more than a few of them).
IMO this is a no-win scenario for Trump and driven to some degree by the understandable temptation to get a bit of revenge for what the Dems have done to him, and us.

Could this early summer debate be a trap?
Democrats are doing well in fundraising; there is no viable reason for an incumbent president to want an early summer debate. There are usually three fall debates to maximize viewership, but Biden is an unusual case.
For Trump, the dates fit the lawfare being waged against him. This makes sense even though the trials themselves do not.
However, for Biden, the reason for proposing such an early debate may be campaign threatening.
If Biden is pumped full of enough stimulants to make him appear lucid for an hour or two, then there’s a chance he could actually remain as the Democrat nominee.
But in the highly likely event that he bombs from his severe lack of mental acuity, Democrats will have the predicate needed to replace him and the time to get their new candidate on most ballots.
In other words, Joe Biden is walking into what will likely be his political swan song.
Whether he knows it or not, his handlers are testing him without telling him he’s being tested. My guess is the DNC does not expect or want him to pass.
Even with knowing the questions in advance (since his people would have written them for the moderator) Biden’s team will be giving him the answers in his earpiece.
Trump’s people need to fit him with a concealed jammer. Preferably one with a trigger on it so he can use it selectively and not tip the bad guys off that he is doing it. Wait until Biden starts talking and “bzzzzz”.

I suspect that they debate will not actually be aired “live.” It will be on some kind of delay to allow both Biden’s and Trump’s responses to be edited before they hit the airwaves.
If I were Trump I would have only two demands.
1. They must be televised live.
2. He must be allowed to record his own versions like he did with the 1on1 interviews that were deceptively edited by journo-activists.

Which brings up an obvious question that no one else is pressing: why bother to debate someone who may not even be the nominee?
