Breaking: Israel Resumes Military Action In Gaza After Hamas Breaks Ceasefire
“IDF says it has struck over 200 terror targets in Gaza since ends of ceasefire this morning.”
The seven-day truce in Gaza ended Friday afternoon after the terrorist group Hamas fired rockets into southern Israel and refused to release any further hostages.
“The week-long ceasefire came to an end as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported Hamas violating the truce by firing rockets,” the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported. IDF says it has struck over 200 terror targets in Gaza since ends of ceasefire this morning.”
The Jerusalem Post reported the ongoing Israeli response:
On Friday afternoon, the IDF stated that, in the wake of the Hamas-initiated resumption of fighting, the IDF hit over 200 targets in Gaza since 7:00 a.m. that morning.
The military said that, in a joint effort by Israeli ground, air, and naval forces, the IDF targeted areas booby-trapped with explosive devices, tunnel shafts, and other Hamas terror infrastructure.
Hamas violated the operational pause, and in addition, fired toward Israeli territory.

Following Hamas’ breach of the ceasefire, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) rolled out the “next stage of the war,” announcing a detailed plan to move Gaza civilians away from the combat zone.
“In preparation for the next stage of the war, the IDF is publishing the Evacuation Zone Map in the Gaza Strip. This divides the territory of the Gaza Strip into areas according to recognizable areas to enable the residents of Gaza to orient themselves and understand the instructions, and to evacuate from specific places for their safety if required,” the IDF said in a statement Friday afternoon.
The IDF has created and published a map splitting the Gaza Strip into evacuation zones to notify Palestinian civilians of active combat zones and provide safety instructions.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also confirmed the resumption of hostilities after Hamas began firing rockets at towns and cities across southern Israel, The Times of Israel reported:
The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that Hamas “violated the framework, did not meet its obligation to release all hostage women, and fired rockets at Israel.”
“Amid the return to combat, we stress the government of Israel is committed to achieving the goals of the war — releasing our hostages, eliminating Hamas, and ensuring that Gaza can never again threaten the people of Israel.”
The IDF is responding to Hamas aggression by striking terrorist targets in south Gaza, reliable sources on social media suggest.

The aim of the resumed military operation is to eliminate the entire Hamas leadership and its terrorist fighting force, Israeli media reports say.
“Israel seeks to kill Hamas leaders hiding abroad after war ends,” the Newspaper Israel Hayom reported Friday. “Israeli officials have openly stated that the goal of the ongoing war is elimination of Hamas, and its leaders residing across the Middle East are no exception.”
Besides the rocket barrage, Hamas terrorists also carried out attacks on Israeli troops operating in Gaza, injuring at least 3 IDF soldiers. “Three IDF soldiers were moderately injured and two lightly injured after a mortar fell near Nirim in southern Israel,” the Israeli broadcaster Arutz Sheva reported. “The soldiers were evacuated to the hospital for medical treatment. Their families have been notified.”
Some 140 Israelis are still believed to be in Hamas captivity after a week-long hostages-for-terrorists exchange that saw the release of 81 kidnapped Israelis in return for 210 Palestinian prisoners, mostly terrorists and murderers.

As IDF responds, mainstream media push pro-Hamas spin
The mainstream media is back to its old and rotten tricks of covering up Hamas’s crimes and painting Israel as the aggressor.
Classic @bbcnews headline. Main item on their site.
"Israeli strikes" – no mention of Hamas breaking ceasefire. Along with image of grieving Palestinian mother and young child.
95% of people won't read the article. Israel blamed. Palestinians are victims. The BBC job is done. pic.twitter.com/OKirhRMqNq

Let’s put this headline in chronological order: FIRST Hamas “fired a projectile” from Gaza, THEN the truce expired, then Israel resumed the military campaign. The order is 3,1,2. pic.twitter.com/DE4mq4xXgc

And the media-led disinformation campaign continues…
Another day, another terribly misleading headline by @CBCNews. #Israel just didn't randomly decide to resume the war on Hamas. They did so after #Hamas terrorists murdered 3 civilians in Jerusalem & launched rockets from Gaza into Israel, breaking the temporary truce agreement. pic.twitter.com/Gyb2U21g6R

Hamas delenda est
Good. Let them defend themselves.
That means that no hostage remains alive. Flatten gaza.
At one point, a North African potentate kidnapped an American woman – because she was pretty – and because he could.
I think the movie made about it was “The Wind and the Lion”?
The Americans sent an expedition with instructions to achieve at least one of two goals, the woman alive or the potentate dead.
Paying Danegeld is a losing strategy, Hamas is murdering and torturing child hostages for entertainment. There is no common ground here for reconciliation or negotiation.
The IDF so far has wisely mostly refrained from searching underground tunnels for fighters and hostages, rightly figuring any hostages will be killed before they could be rescued and many tunnels will be booby trapped to kill IDF troops if they did go in. At this point, any hostages held in tunnels are beyond rescue. Flood them with CO2, explosive slurry, water, liquid concrete, whatever’s handy. Establish a (say) 20 mile exclusion zone where no tunnel is intact and no inhabitants are allowed to serve as cover for new tunneling. You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.
Yep. Teddy Roosevelt and his famous “Pedecaris alive or Raisuli dead” ultimatum. Now we have a groveling idiot who decides to shovel billions more dollars to the scum who planned and funded the attack on Israel.
Finish it.
It will be awhile. They won’t be done until they locate and fill every tunnel big enough for a gopher to crawl through.
Hmmm… I know a country club groundskeeper who might be able to help out.
FJB and his attempts to have Israel tie both their hands behind their backs.
Finish it.
“…saw the release of 81 kidnapped Israelis in return for 210 Palestinian prisoners, mostly terrorists and murderers.”
What are the odds one or some of those released hamas prisoners fired the rockets which ended the cease fire?
A little better than 50/50.
Hamas terrorists branded Israeli children hostages in case they escaped, relative says
Gee, what an offing surprise. Hamas used the “cease fire” as time to recruit, re-group, and re-arm and are right back to their usual shenanigans.
No, not really a surprise. It’s what Hamas does. And it’s amazing that Israeli leadership seems to always fall for it.
Hope this time they’ve learned their lesson(s) and wipe Hamas, their terrorist allies, and all those “innocent civilians” off the face of the Earth,
Too many “terrorist allies” in the USA for Israel to “wipe off the face of the Earth.”
Am I concerned about the citizens of Gaza? Not for a second. 75% of them support Hamas. Likely, back in 2001, 100% of them cheered on 9/11.
They are our enemies. They chant, “Death to America” and mean it.
Were I in charge of the IDF, the directions would be: (1) if you’re taking fire from a location, everyone there over the age of 2 is an enemy and can be fired upon; (2) be very careful with prisoners. Do not allow them to get within 30 feet of you and tell them that if they come any closer than that, they will be executed on the spot; (3) total war, total destruction of Gaza.
You’ve put your finger on exactly why the American Left considers it illegitimate to fight against Hamas. You see, as the far as the left is concerned, the only people that it is acceptable to treat as enemies, are Americans.
but but but president biteme
told them not to …
/sarc
Unsolvable … every last bit of it …
Now I’m confused. Why would an apartheid state, bent on conducting genocide against a neighboring state, publish instructions to help keep the civilian population of its enemy safe?
Because the only side to this conflict that proposes and carries out genocide is NOT Israel.
Interesting historical fact, during the decades long Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank, the Arab population with the fastest rate of population growth among Arabs not Israeli citizens was those Arabs living under Israeli rule.
I’ve said it before, say what you will about the IDF, they’re competent. It takes 9 months (plus childhood) to produce a new “martyr”, it takes 9 seconds of fire to kill one. Given that, the IDF are apparently the most incompetent genociders in recorded history.
Just a word, Bob – sarcasm.
So they turned Gaza into a Battleship map…
And Israel will be blamed for ending the ceasefire.
I don’t recall the BBC showing concern for the German people during WW2. Once again the BBC exposes itself as a propaganda arm of Hamas. The eradication of Jews is a cornerstone of Hamas, now they and their Palestinian supporters are facing the same and apparently they think it’s unfair.
