Columbia and Harvard Students, Deans Blame Israel for Hamas Terrorist Attack
Um, what: “The apartheid regime is the only one to blame.”
Ivy universities are poison. I don’t know why anyone would ever go to these schools.
Harvard Students
On Saturday, 33 Harvard student groups tried to sound woke and cooly by blaming Israel for Hamas terrorists invading the country.
This is the final crack in my broken heart – a joint statement from @Harvard students. I could be sitting in class with these students, watching children brutally murdered, raped, kidnapped and their mutated bodies torn apart by a jeering crowd – and hear why it’s justified. pic.twitter.com/UTi60Y2omJ

These students try to sound like they actually have a clue what they’re talking about when they have no idea:
Today’s events did not occur in a vacuum. For the last two decades, millions of Palestinians in Gaza have been forced to live in an open-air prison. Israeli officials promise to “open the gates of hell,” and the massacres in Gaza have already commenced. Palestinians in Gaza have no shelters for refuge and nowhere to escape. In the coming days, Palestinians will be forced to bear the full brunt of Israel’s violence.
The apartheid regime is the only one to blame. Israeli violence has structured every aspect of Palestinian existence for 75 years. From systematized land seizures to routine airstrikes, arbitrary detentions to military checkpoints, and enforced family separations to targeted killings, Palestinians have been forced to live in a state of death, both slow and sudden.
Today, the Palestinian ordeal enters into uncharted territory. The coming days will require a firm stand against colonial retaliation. We call on the Harvard community to take action to stop the ongoing annihilation of Palestinians.
Can…can someone tell them that Israel has not had any part of Gaza since 2005? Also, Gaza has gone down the toilet since Israel left?
Hamas is in control of Gaza.
Ah, yes. The Harvard Jews for Liberation in the Harvard Divinity School signed the letter. It’s all about Palestine for them.
The group is described as one that “offers warm, creative, spiritual and political space for anti-Zionist and non-Zionist Jews, as well as Jews questioning their relationship with Zionism.”
The group hosted Mohammed El-Kurd, a Muslim poet the ADL has accused of being anti-Semitic. The ADL pointed to a line in one of his poems that reflects the antisemitic trope “blood libel.” It is: “They harvest organs of the martyred, feed their warriors our own.”
The ADL also posted a few of El-Kurd’s tweets that repeat the “blood libel” trope.
Harvard Dean
Then there’s Bridget Terry Long, the Dean of Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.
Long echoed the sentiments of the student groups:
In an email to students on Sunday, the dean, Bridget Terry Long, told students she was writing to “express my concerns in the aftermath of the deadly attacks in Israel and the Gaza strip where it has been reported that more than 1,100 people have been killed and hundreds more wounded by the actions taken by Hamas and the Israeli government.”
Columbia University Students
You think Harvard students were bad. Columbia students somehow outdid them!
The Palestine Solidarity Groups at Columbia University sound like a happy, positive bunch of people: “We also affirm that there can be no future of safety and freedom for all Israelis and Palestinians without holding the Israeli occupation accountable for its actions and putting an end to the untenable status quo of Israel’s apartheid and colonial system.”
OH LOOK! Columbia Jewish Voice for Peace. Legal Insurrection has published plenty of posts on that group.
I cannot write it all out, so here are a few screenshots:
Columbia University Law Dean
Columbia Law’s dean, Gillian Lester, tried to blame the Hamas terrorist attack on both sides:
The dean of Columbia Law School, Gillian Lester, released a statement on Monday whitewashing the worst terrorist attack in Israeli history, lamenting the “violence that erupted in Israel and Gaza” without making any reference to the massacre that started it.
The statement did not mention Hamas’s role in the attack, which left over 900 Israelis dead, or note that the Iranian-backed group had targeted civilians, some of whom were gang-raped.
“The violence that erupted in Israel and Gaza this past weekend is nothing short of tragic,” Lester wrote in an email to students. “I know many in our community have been affected, both directly and indirectly, by the sudden escalation of conflict and the fear and uncertainty that have followed as the situation on the ground continues to evolve.”

Comments
Let’s have all progressives share their humanity and show everyone who they really are, like some of us knew.
Can we send these pampered children to Gaza? They can bring their pride flags and ally with the “Palestinians” for real.
Or invite the IDF to clean up Harvard and Columbia after they have finished in the Middle East.
Good idea.
It seems a great many of our leaders both in industry and government are selectively chosen from these elite schools. With these schools taking on the opinions described here as well as teaching the destructive and inane gender silliness, the anti-science of global warming, the soul and world destroying ideas of socialism, etc., it is past time to ask whose side they are on and why do we continue to give them any respect, monetary support, or air time. These institutions do not educate, rather they indoctrinate people with the most hate filled and destructive ideas the world has ever known. They utterly fail to represent what America stands for or the ideals we hold most dearly. The extreme Left is not what America is, was, or meant to be.
We know whose side they are on. We just haven’t yet reached a point where enough people want to shut them down.
Do not forget, while the Dems descended in chaos, there are many just as bad in the Republican party. How they act about this atrocity will pinpoint who needs to ousted.
This is very encouraging. All of these pro-Palestinain, pro-Islamic individuals make excellent citizens. They are very loyal and I’m sure they would fight and die for our country in order to protect the ideals we stand for.
Having already infiltrated much of our governemt, Biden put a lot more of them in high places in his administration. As the old saying goes, the hand that rocks the president’s rocking chair, rocks the world. Or, perhaps more aptly, the hand in the puppet controls a lot of shit.
Aid and comfort for our ultimate enemy. Why not hold a ‘peace festival’ close to the fighting just so your message can be heard and laughed at..
There’s a pervasive moral and intellectual rot at work, here. It’s disturbing and it’s evil. These universities allegedly represent our most hallowed halls of higher learning, in which students, teachers and administrators are all gleefully giving succor and support to goose-stepping, genocidal Muslim terrorist thugs, all in the name of alleged “social justice.” If they had lived during World War II, one fairly can presume they’d be cheering on the German National Socialists’ genocide and atrocities visited upon European and Slavic Jews.
These collaborators and reprobates occupy a fantasy world of their own creation, in which manifestly contrived, fallacious and easily-debunked Arab Muslim propaganda mythologies of alleged victimhood and grievance are elevated and granted deference above obvious historical facts and basic truths, such as that Jews have been living in the middle east for millennia before the founding of the supremacist, totalitarian and belligerent ideology of “Submission.”
“Submission’s” own glaring, immutable and innumerable pathologies, and, its 1,400-year history of waging war and visiting atrocities upon non-Muslims, never enter into the equation.
Perhaps Joseph McCarthy can rise from the dead, to deal traitors?
” … without even mentioning Palestinian suffering once.”
Like they’ve ever acknowledged Israeli suffering?
Since Obama attended both, check out this article today:
“The Specter Of Barack Obama’s Deeply Held Anti-Israel Ideology Hovers Over Israeli Attacks”
https://thefederalist.com/2023/10/10/the-specter-of-barack-obamas-deeply-held-anti-israel-ideology-hovers-over-israeli-attacks/
So much of the horrors today lie at the feet of Obama, the America hater that hoodwinked guilty whites to believe he was the composite he created.
/This.
Another very interesting article

The vile narcissist-incompetent, Obama’s hostility towards Israel is well-known and not even concealed.
It’s not just about the ideological milieu in which Obama marinated, growing up and attending school, in which bashing Israel is acceptable/fashionable, while gullibly swallowing and parroting contrived and fallacious mythologies of alleged Arab Muslim “Palestinian” victimhood.
It’s about Obama’s personal and indefensible hostility and disrespect exhibited towards Netanyahu, which can only fairly be ascribed as hostility to Israeli Jews at-large, and, Israel, herself.
Recall how Obama kept Netanyahu waiting in a White House hallway for hours, prior to a meeting, as a brazen slight and act of disrespect.
Recall how Obama’s lackeys leaked to the press Obama’s view that Netanyahu was a “chickenshit.”
Recall how the transparently insecure Obama childishly and petulantly lectured Obama — “You talk to me as if I don’t understand these issues, but, I do.”
It was on Obama’s watch that Dhimmi-crat hostility towards Israel become more overt, combined with a simultaneous, warm embrace of Muslim supremacists and terrorists, and, a whitewashing/rationalizing/downplaying of their ideology’s intrinsic supremacism, belligerence towards, and, hatred of, non-Muslims, as well as a downplaying and rationalizing of Muslims’ predations and attacks against non-Muslims.
Recall Obama’s execrable, pre-first term election Cairo speech (penned by the vile Ben Rhodes), in which Obama engaged in blatant and offensive historical revisionism, perversely painting the oppressive Cordoba Caliphate as an alleged beacon of multifaith tolerance and equality, while painting Muslims’ belligerence and violence as the justified response to alleged western slights and disrespect.
Obama is a moral disgrace and an enabler of evil ideologies and behavior.
Dems have schemed to damage Trump and others, why not do the same starting with Obama?
And, recall Obama’s utterly shameful appearance at the U.N., where, instead of using his podium to fairly lecture Muslims on the need to rein in their belligerence and supremacist behavior, he despicably admonished the west for legitimately criticizing and scrutinizing Islam’s pathologies and its adherents’ behavior, pompously and stupidly stating, “The future must not belong to those who insult the prophet of Islam;” — as if westerners are the problem, here, not hate-filled Muslim supremacist and terrorists who believe they have a Divine command to wage war against non-Muslims.
Recall, also, the vile Obama’s morally disgraceful and feckless response to ISIS’s callous immolation of the captured Jordanian pilot, in which, instead of criticizing ISIS’s brutality and the ideology that produced it and that sanctions it, he possessed the contemptible gall to lecture Jews, Christians and Hindus, “Let’s not get on our high horse…”, stating that Christian crusaders’ atrocities committed during the Crusades — 800 years ago — were more worthy of condemnation and attention than contemporary and still-ongoing Muslim barbarism and violence.
“Each new generation born is in effect an invasion of civilization by little barbarians, who must be civilized before it is too late.”
—Thomas Sowell (2002) A Conflict of Visions: Ideological Origins of Political Struggles
Until employers, particularly Federal, State and local govt employers, begin to shun recent alumni this kind of crap will continue. The day the govt of all levels, large financial firms, white shoe law firms begin rejecting alumni and keep at it despite the whining then this may change. Until then these radicals will continue to indoctrinate, their influence will continue to expand and voices of useful idiot apologists will rise from some unlikely quarters.
Remember-The Ivies had Jewish quotas and welcomed Nazi propagandists to their campuses -anti Semitism of any kind has long been welcome at the Ivies
