Chuck Schumer Calls Impeachment Inquiry of Biden a Time and Money Wasting ‘Witch Hunt’

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) channeled his inner Trump this week, describing the impeachment inquiry of Joe Biden as a ‘witch hunt.’ Schumer also said that the effort was a waste of time and taxpayer money.
Is there a bigger hypocrite in the United States Senate than Schumer? Where were these concerns about time and money while Democrats relentlessly pursued the impeachment of Trump for four solid years?

Top Democrat Chuck Schumer is taking a line from Donald Trump’s messaging handbook by calling the new Republican-led impeachment inquiry into Biden a ‘witch hunt.’
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced an official impeachment inquiry Tuesday into President Biden over his alleged connections to his son Hunter’s multi-million dollar foreign business schemes.
The speaker said Republicans have amassed enough evidence that Joe has lied about his involvement in his family’s ‘culture of corruption’ and the American people need to know the truth.
Democrats were quick to condemn the action by Republicans, discounting it as a political move.
‘I think the impeachment inquiry is absurd. The American people want us to do something that will make their lives better, not go off on these chases, witch hunts,’ Schumer said Tuesday at the Democrats’ weekly press conference.
The well-known phrase – often capitalized on social media as WITCH HUNT – is used constantly by former President Trump.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is working off a similar playbook. The memo has clearly gone out. Expect Democrats and the media to double down on this message. Impeachments are suddenly bad now.

If the Constitution were obeyed as written, fedgov would be 5% of today’s federal monster. If lefties think fedgov should have more power, then force them to go through Article V (amendment process), and not tolerate this arrogation of power which has been the status quo since the 16th Amendment (1913).
It’s the most credible and substantive Impeachment inquiry of any president in US history, by a very wide margin. Yes, Clinton clearly perjured himself. But, it was about sex. Biden is credibly accused of bribery (a crime specifically cited in the USC) and extortion…among DOZENS of other crimes involving the sale of his influence while a sitting Vice President. That there are GOP Senators who aren’t on-board with this inquiry tells me that Biden likely isn’t the only person in DC who’s committing this same crime.
Count on it. Pull the Biden thread to its end and most of DC will be caught, elected and non elected. Therefore none of this will go anywhere but in circles and interest is lost by the media and public.

Now Schumer has explained he has time and can focus on bringing the DoD nominations one at a time to floor for a vote instead of lying about Sen Tubberville and his refusal to grant ‘unanimous consent’ for a mass vote. Schumer can’t be that concerned about Tubberville’s stance since he allowed the Senate to go home in August instead of lengthening the legislative calendar to try and move some of the DoD nominations.
I have a simple political rule of thumb: if Chuck Schumer is opposed to something, then it’s the right thing to do; if he’s in favor, don’t do it. So much political confusion could be avoided just by following this simple guideline.

I watched the Dem news conference with House members including Ted Lieu. There were about five reporters and twenty empty chairs. Well, after listening for a while, I can’t call them reporters because all they did was clap like trained seals. The speaker would say something wildly inaccurate. Ted would agree. Repeat.
