Biden has ‘No Comment’ When Asked About Rising Death Toll in Hawaii Fires
The fire has killed at least 96 people. The number is expected to rise, too.

Rehoboth beach is near Biden’s Delaware home.
Biden gave a similar unsympathetic answer when asked about the fires during a bike ride: “We’re looking at it.”

The president still hasn’t visited East Palestine, OH, after a massive chemical spill from a derailed train.
Biden declared a major disaster for Maui last week. A fire ripped through the island, destroying the historic city of Lahaina.
The fire has killed at least 96 people. The number is expected to rise, too.
Leftists screamed climate change but it looks like downed power lines might have caused the fire.
Authorities have not declared a direct cause of the fires.

Frankly, I don’t see how Hawaii could possibly have wildfires. Last time (only time) I was there, it rained every 30 minutes.
The leeward side is way different than the windward side. We had wildfires every year out in Makakilo in the 80s.
I thought it was a tropical rain forest, but the weather guy said that the mountains (hills) cause heavy rains on one side, and almost a desert on the other.
I wish all Presidents would do that. Who wants a comment from the President, no matter who it is.

Why didn’t the pResident order the Air Force (do we still have one?) to carry water to dump on the fires? We have enough AF bases on the West Coast – or do we?
Just in passing, and in no way attempting to excuse anything that Biden does, as far as I know the regular Air Force does not have those very specially rigged out planes. Some Air National Guard units do, and the US Forest Service does as I believe the National Parks Service does. In addition, there are private contractors who keep planes to rent to the above entities that are rigged for water/fire suppressant chemical drops. I don’t know if Hawaii in general or Maui in particular have such.

The causes might be several but wasn’t there a storm near shore kicking up a lot of wind? Also I understand this is the time of year for dry trade winds in the part of the Pacific. Why civil defense warnings didn’t sound or sound enough is a concern. There might be a lot of fingers pointing before this tragedy is over…

We have family in Honolulu and go over every year. Having FEMA give every household $700 when they have lost everything is laughable. EVERY item costs more than on the mainland since it has to be shipped over.
