U. Colorado Wants Everyone to Assume People are Transgender Until They’re Told Otherwise

“Usually it’s safe to use they/them/theirs unless that person tells you otherwise.”

Does anyone on the left ever stop and wonder how they sound to other people? This is insane.

OutKick reports:

University of Colorado Wants Everyone to Assume People Are Transgender Until Told Otherwise

Universities have unquestioningly embraced radical transgender activism, with the latest example coming from the University of Colorado.

The university’s pronouns guide, reported on by the Free Beacon, is a masterclass of absurdity.

And it essentially tells readers to assume that everyone is transgender or non-binary until proven otherwise.

“It is never safe to assume someone’s gender and living a life where people will naturally assume the correct pronouns for you is a privilege that not everyone experiences,” the guide explains.

It gets worse.

“Sometimes people just don’t want to share their pronouns and that’s fine,” says the guide. “Usually it’s safe to use they/them/theirs unless that person tells you otherwise.”

That’s right, when you see a man or woman is public, top ranked universities believe you should assume that person is transgender until they correct you.

And of course, using the incorrect pronouns is an unspeakable mistake.

According to the guide, it’s “not only an act of oppression but can also be considered an act of violence.”

How about…No?

I agree with the “no”. But hey if you insist on things like that, then everyone should be smiling and laughing at all times. Everyone should greet others with a hi and a smile. Everyone should help anyone they see if they are in difficulty. Every employer should hire everyone who signs up, whether they are qualified or not. Medical schools and law schools should stop handing out diplomas and certifications and trust that the students have learned what they should. Factories should just let the workers handle things like they prefer so everyone is happy. Right?

So; the tail end of the Bell-curve gets to be the new norm. Only a Lefty can pretend that what is odd is even.

Any time a lefty tells you your speech is an act of violence, pop him in the nose and help him learn the difference.

Can you imagine trying to teach an English class these days?

I speak English. So, the only pronoun you will ever hear directed at you is… you.
It is the second person singular pronoun.

I might use other words for you. But those will not be pronouns. It is most likely that the proper term for the words I use for you in place of your name is “epithet”.

I assume that all people in Portland who are under 30 are retarded until it is proven otherwise.

But will they embrace my adverbs ?

Seriously, people, do you need any more evidence that today’s American universities have become … ridiculous?

Btw it’s not just the U.S., it’s apparently also U.K. https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/british-universities-are-beyond-redemption/

Clearly, the smart career move in 2023 is to just walk away.

Better uses of your time and money include:

(1) Learn to function in a second language — not just a little bit, really learn it, so you can use it in a real world work setting.

(2) Learn an employable skill — e.g., ESL teacher (which you can do almost anywhere on earth); au pair (which you can do almost anywhere on earth); get a bartender certification; etc.

Regardless …… if you insist on believing that the folks who work at University of Colorado care about you, then you also believe that the folks who work at the strip club care about you.

Wake up, people.

It’s ok, you’ll be fine 👍

Once you’re fully bilingual or trilingual …

Once you’ve gained a few years of life experiences in the U.S. and hopefully abroad as well…

… then you can always pursue additional higher education, if needed.

But at that point, you’ll be much more capable of benefiting from it.

You’ll also be much more valuable to future prospective employers.

    In any career.

They/Them are plural pronouns. I am a single person and do not wish to be referred to in the plural. By assuming that I want to be so addressed is….how was it put? Oh yes… “not only an act of oppression but can also be considered an act of violence.”
