Senator Kyrsten Sinema Criticizes Lack of Preparation for End of Title 42
Sinema discusses her apprehensions about the end of Title 42 in a recent Face the Nation interview, in addition to her criticism of the debt ceiling and the flaws of the two-party system.
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona seems very worried about Title 42 ending this week. In an interview with Margaret Brennan from Face the Nation, Sinema didn’t hold back when discussing the administration’s lack of a plan for Title 42 ending, the debt ceiling, and more. She also shared her frustration with both parties.
.@SenatorSinema says Arizona border officials haven't received information on migrant processing and transporting as Title 42 expires.
"Either the administration has that information and they’re choosing not to share it…or they don't have it and that's even more concerning." pic.twitter.com/xVNxDRZSfu

Sinema gave the best answer to Brennan when she started listing the plans from the administration to process migrants after Title 42 ends. “Well, these steps, which all have been announced in the past week or so, are helpful.” Sinema continued, “Having 1,500 troops along the U.S.-Mexico border is helpful. It is a border of over 2,000 miles though. So 1,500 troops isn’t gonna get the job done.”
Sinema also stated how concerned she was that the plans were coming together the week before Title 42 ends. “Just today, I was on the phone with a sheriff of Cochise County. He has gotten no information from the Department of Homeland Security of the federal government about what the flow is going to look like, about what they can expect for processing in terms of how long it takes to process migrants. He’s got no information.”
While the proposed GOP debt limit bill "is not going to be the solution," @SenatorSinema says, "what the president is offering is not a realistic solution either," she adds.

Sinema highlighted the problems we have with the debt ceiling. “The reality is the bill that Kevin and his colleagues passed through the House is not going to be the solution. The votes do not exist in the United States Senate to pass that. But what the President is offering is not a realistic solution either. There’s not going to be just a simple clean debt limit. The votes don’t exist for that. So the sooner these two guys get in the room and listen to what the other one needs, the more likely they are to solve this challenge and protect the full faith and credit of the United States of America. We’re on really shaky ground right now.”
Sinema and Brennan ended the interview by talking about elections and where Sinema stands on switching parties:
MARGARET BRENNAN: Are you done with parties entirely?
SEN. SINEMA: Absolutely.
MARGARET BRENNAN: Now that you’re an independent, you’ll never become a Republican?
SEN. SINEMA: No. I mean, I just, I’m laughing because I literally just spent time explaining how broken the two parties are.
MARGARET BRENNAN: Yeah
SEN. SINEMA: So you don’t go from one broken party to another.

Well, code pink: YOU had just as long to do something.
It doesn’t matter if we put a million soldiers on the border if all they do is hand out bus tickets to US cities and make sure everybody has a good water bottle.
Sinema, the rest: they all seem so removed from reality. It’s as if the border problem is in another country. We are being INVADED!
It’s interesting to see Sinema, the self-described “Prada socialist,” slowly redpill herself. It may even be fast enough to make a small difference.
It looks like taking off the D badge is like taking off a set of horse blinders. Suddenly, you can see the big picture, not just what the whip is telling you.
I’m not so sure she is simply waking up to the facts. I suspect she is just trying to court voters who are truly concerned about border security.
She may have changed her “uniform”, but she is more of a Democrat than an “independent”.
Let’s be honest, compared to most other Democrat women holding public office, at least Sinema is pleasing to look at
She’s the best of the worst.
A decade ago or so, Sinema was far worse and an even more extreme Leftist. She has slowly started to see error and I suspect her family (who are Mormon) have been able to get her to reconsider her stances.
I can vouch for that. When she first ran for state offices, she was a dedicated Green — she re-registered as Democrat just to become electable.
The lack of preparation is the plan. The Biden junta wants our immigration system overwhelmed. If they didn’t, they would have followed the law.
The immigration debacle is just one leg of the Cloward-Piven stool.
Do you mean like a stool sample?
Biden’s puppeteers want the nation in ashes, so they can seize it from the ashes.
There’s no hope but secession, if we want to live in a country REMOTELY like the nation we were gifted.
There’s all that money we have, too. They just KNOW they can make good use of it, much better for the good of humanity and the planet than we might.
[catastrophic] [anthropogenic] immigration reform (CAIR)
I had to turn the video off as soon as Margaret Brennan began speaking.
She begins her lead-up to the interview with a sitting US Senator talking about how many times RINO McCain appeared on CBS Face the Nation as if eulogizing John McCain’s time spent on Face the Nation was a red badge of courage. Too painful to listen and watch.
That’s what rotten tomatoes are for.
She’s right. A wall and affirmative emigration reform, would mitigate progress at both ends of the bridge and throughout.
Just like the fat astronaut Kelly, she is talking about the illegal immigrant problem because of an upcoming election. That’s all he did and the yokels in AZ voted the empty suit back into office. If Lake runs, I think she will win if the voting machines actually work on election day.
If Kari Lake runs, she will win, but only if the voting machines work on election day. Why hasn’t Rona McDaniel challenged the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors? The Board is predominantly Republican, isn’t it? Between Rona and Mitch, it’s like they want the Democrats to win AZ.
“Why hasn’t Rona McDaniel….”
You asked and answered your question. Rona is not installed to win anything: she’s merely a useful idiot who facilitates money laundering and pay-offs.
Rona McDaniel only has her position because Donald Trump endorsed her. Trump is so stupid.
No way. NONE of us were aware of the depth of corruption and treason in our government and the GOP . None of us.
Fine,
That’s not a serious position to take regarding the most recent endorsement of McDaniel by Trump in 2022 which was after her disastrous performance in the midterms. Maybe folks could be forgiven for their naivety in 2015 though even that’s a stretch IMO. There were plenty of things to notice well before then if one was paying attention.
I suppose the previously less well informed and less politically aware can be given a pass for their lack of understanding back then. But not after the first budget Ryan and McConnell put on Trump’s desk without border wall funding. Not after Trump failed to use his veto to force them to either put the funding in or to override the veto.
I think she dresses inappropriately for her office. But, if she insists on doing so, she could at least drop some serious poundage.
Remember: she’s a lesbian.
“The reality is the bill that Kevin and his colleagues passed through the House is not going to be the solution. The votes do not exist in the United States Senate to pass that. But what the President is offering is not a realistic solution either.”
Reminder: for nearly three years since she took a seat in the Senate, Sinema almost always ended up voting for whatever proposal/nominee the Biden* junta barfed up. For that matter, so did a lot of Republicans.
This is a “bipartisan” crisis (if the word bipartisan can be applied to the Uniparty). I am unconvinced that Sinema has had a change of heart. Have her voting habits changed since she announced she is an independent, or is she trying to avoid the stigma of the Uniparty while voting pretty much the same as before?
There is literally nothing that is going to stop this invasion unless the Feds get serious and do away with the welfare system that is the biggest draw. LBJ not only did this on purpose, he had the cojones to brag about it.
This situation at the border is bad. Folks I still talk to in El Paso tell me it is the worst they have ever seen. Glad I got out after ten years and back to Bama.
The admin has zero credible excuses now. They opposed using Title 42 authority in the first place. They have had, including the transition, over 30 months to formulate a plan for what happens when Title 42 ends. Deciding to announce they ate sending 1,500 AD troops to the border ten days out from end of Title 42 is not gonna cut it. Not after demonizing the border patrol and sticking their head in the sand when the numbers weren’t as bad.
Even when she says things I mostly agree with, she doesn’t come off as particularly smart. She sounds like she has talking points she’s been handed and she’s doing a very bad acting job of trying too hard to convey them like she cares.
Senator Kyrsten Sinema Criticizes Lack of Preparation for End of Title 42
LOL. They prepared perfectly for this. This IS their policy – to carry out an invasion of America by aliens.
Every time someone talks about how Traitor Joe and his junta aren’t dealing with the border issue they ignore the fact that this collection of traitors is doing exactly what they intend to do and is getting exactly the results they want. For them, everything is going along perfectly. Traitor Joe and his gang are carrying out a hostile invasion of America. They are TRAITORS. Period.
Sen. Manchin is going to retire. In expected fashion, Ronna McDaniels will do nothing once again.
Before his team ends? The R Gov will select the replacement. Manchin’s path to re-election isn’t exactly wide open, he is very likely facing a defeat in Nov ’24.
I think McDaniel is incompetent which is why they DC establishment pushed for her to retain the post but I don’t see what she as GoP chair is supposed to ‘do’ if Manchin retires.
