Say what you will, Little Miss Sunshine (2006) was amusing.
The finale was awful and felt exploitative. Seeing the lovely little girl grind to “Super Freak” was too cringey to be funny.
From the scriptwriter it was a commentary on the regular parents and performances. From the grandfather’s point of view it was a nice trick that the little girl was in on.
Imagine if some hetero dudes were teaching little girls to pole dance.
Imagine if it was a heterosexual pride parade and a man and a woman stopped to pray where they would be seen.
The city would be afraid they were establishing a religion and revoke the parade permit.
Um, you do know that there are religious processions all the time, don’t you? None of them has ever had its permit revoked for being too religious.
For that matter, the St Patrick’s Day parades in major cities are religious in nature, which is why the courts said they were entitled to exclude gay groups from marching as groups. (No parade has even wanted to exclude gay individuals, of course, so that question has never come up.)

Introducing preteen children to sexualized behavior and attempting normalize those behaviors is not acceptable. Stripper poles and burlesque are not appropriate for these age groups. Let children retain their innocence until their Parents determine they are emotionally mature enough to discuss these topics.

At best it encourages narcissism and self destructive behavior. Setting these kids up for a lifetime of disappointment and anger when the rest of the world refuses to applaud their antics.
Parents are supposed to set limits of behavior for their children. Guiding and teaching in the present to create a well adjusted person with a solid foundation capable of independent, responsible actions as adults. Indulging the narcissistic whims of children instead of confronting and mitigating that behavior is irresponsible. It fosters self centered, mal adjusted, dysfunctional adults.

It’s satanic. This is exactly what Satan wants us to be concentrating on, The sexuality of everything, every action, every thought, every place our eyes go! Especially coming from a group that sex is why they exist – elicit sex, deviance of all stripes, even to body mutilation.
Sex is a wonderful, beautiful gift from our Creator God. He gave us these desires & drives to pursue and enjoy – within pretty specific guidelines. I’m not a prude. What a couple does in their bedroom is theirs alone, as long as both are in agreement, of course. But to make public display of deviance and the obvious grooming of our youth while blinding our parents & leadership, is intentional obtuse acceptance of what is being forced on us.
