University Lecturer Defends Critical Race Theory, Says ‘Whiteness is a Disease’
“Whiteness is not true, in terms of what it imposes on us in our culture and our society.”
The defenders of CRT continually prove critics are right to be concerned about this being taught in schools.

U. North Carolina-Greensboro lecturer defends CRT, says ‘whiteness is a disease’
A lecturer at University of North Carolina-Greensboro recently declared “whiteness is a disease” and that “whiteness” is the only reason people oppose critical race theory.
Charles Egerton, a former “corporate photographer” who recently acquired his Ph.D. in Peace and Conflict Studies, made the statements during a November virtual panel titled “Common Threads: Attacks on Critical Race Theory: Centering Whiteness.”
The video’s description notes it “unpacked four central myths and attacks being used by political and social opponents that seek to demonize and misrepresent Critical Race Theory and center whiteness”:
Whiteness is defined as a false ideology that infects people of light skin which in turn supports a system of white supremacy and anti-Black racism. The various components of the fallacious attacks against CRT are discussed in comparison with the realities of what CRT is and is not. We frame these attacks in an understanding of a systematic weaponization of the Straw Man Fallacy. The presenters assert that Critical Race Theory is a powerful diagnostic and research lens that is essential to our pursuit of justice and oneness.
As transcribed by Not The Bee, Egerton said “Looking at whiteness as a disease, the social construct is false. There is no superiority of people with lighter skin. So it’s important to see it as, really, it’s a disease because it’s an attack on the truth.
“Whiteness is not true, in terms of what it imposes on us in our culture and our society. And then racism is a symptom of the disease of whiteness, really. And that’s just saying where it starts and where it leads to.”

Imagine that, a social disease that only white people can catch! Lets see if I can outline the logic:
1. Racism is hereby defined as, “something white people do.”
2. Therefore (conclusion) those who are not white can’t be racist!
We really need a new word for “scholars” who think this is thinking. Can we call them “schowlers”? And define “schowling” as something academics who build such closed, self-referential systems do?

Well, if you click on the link for Egerton, you can see that he a pale white Canadian, so why should we listen to his diseased ranting, and much less pay him for it?
After I stopped laughing at “Peace and Conflict Studies” as a doctoral thesis, one wonders why he is fomenting conflict by his self hating screed against whites.
Is he oblivious to his own racism? Let me help: switch white for black and give the same lecture. Give him a ten minute head start to get out of Greensboro.
