Flashback: Osama Bin Laden Hoped Then VP Biden Became President – “Totally Unprepared … Will Lead The US Into a Crisis’
2010 letter revealed that al Qaeda targeted President Barack Obama but not Biden because Osama bin Laden considered Biden an incompetent who would lead the U.S. into crisis.
Osama bin Laden had forbidden al Qaeda from trying to assassinate Joe Biden because he considered the then-vice president to be incompetent and was likely to ‘lead the US into a crisis’ if he were to assume the presidency, the UK newspaper Daily Mail reported on Friday.
“Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the US into a crisis,” the al Qaeda chief wrote in a 2010 letter instructing his lieutenant. The letter, penned in 2010, first became public in 2012 — almost a year after the U.S. Special Forces eliminated the 9/11 mastermind in May 2011.
The document gained special significance in the current scenario as President Biden practically handed over Afghanistan to the Taliban by overseeing a messy and hasty U.S. troop withdrawal from the country, The British daily commented.
The Daily Mail reported al Qaeda chief’s instructions to his fellow jihadi plotters:

Bin Laden made the remark in a 2010 letter that was found in a trove of documents at the Pakistan compound where he was killed by US special forces in 2011.
The document was first made public in 2012 but has been brought back to light and given new significance amid the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan that has gifted the country back to the Taliban.
Bin Laden – then-leader of al Qaeda, and the man that America went to Afghanistan to kill – penned the 48-page missive in May 2010 to an aide identified as ‘Brother Shaykh Mahmud’, real name Atiyah Abd al-Rahman.
In it, he discusses the need to direct resources away from terror attacks in other Muslim countries and instead focus on direct attacks against the US.
On page 36, he outlines his desire to form two hit squads – one in Pakistan and another in Afghanistan – whose job it will be to plot attacks against then-US President Barack Obama and ex-CIA director David Petraeus, should they visit either country.
Giving his reasoning for attacking Obama, he says: ‘Obama is the head of infidelity and killing him automatically will make Biden take over the presidency for the remainder of the term, as it is the norm over there.
‘Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the US into a crisis.’
He the adds: ‘As for Petraeus, he is the man of the hour in this last year of the war, and killing him would alter the war’s path.’
The Biden administration’s response to the fall of the government in Kabul shows that the White House was caught napping as events unfolded, giving a new and painful meaning to former President Trump’s taunting of his electoral rival as “sleepy Joe.”

Despite the massive airlift operation undertaken by the U.S. and NATO militaries, up to 15,000 Americans are still stranded in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, media reports on Friday confirmed. Unable to help the fleeing U.S. nationals, the now-evacuated U.S. embassy advised them to “shelter in place” in the Taliban-held country.
The evidence emerging in recent days suggests that the Biden administration was fully aware of the imminent catastrophe in Afghanistan. “An internal State Department memo last month warned top agency officials of the potential collapse of Kabul soon after the U.S.’s Aug. 31 troop withdrawal deadline in Afghanistan, according to a U.S. official and a person familiar with the document,” The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday. “The classified cable represents the clearest evidence yet that the administration had been warned by its own officials on the ground that the Taliban’s advance was imminent and Afghanistan’s military may be unable to stop it.”

Islamic terrorist groups, such as Gaza-based Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah, are cheering Taliban’s victory and feel emboldened in their ongoing campaign of jihad and terror. While leading NATO allies like Germany and Britain have been embittered by Biden’s handling of Afghanistan, rogue regimes like China and Iran are openly mocking the United States.
