Private School in Ohio Denies Students Reenrollment After Moms Campaigned Against Indoctrination

It sounds like these students are better off not going to this school.

Ohio private school students denied reenrollment after moms’ ‘inflammatory’ campaign against ‘indoctrination’
An Ohio private school is denying reenrollment to several students, alleging that their mothers breached part of their contract by leading a public campaign against the school’s purported attempt to “indoctrinate” students with left-wing ideas.
The decision capped off months of efforts by parents Andrea Gross and Amy Gonzalez to probe Columbus Academy’s (CA) activities, which allegedly included divisive concepts about race and anti-conservative sentiment.
Fox News has obtained copies of the school’s letters notifying Gross and Gonzalez, who lead the Pro-CA Coalition, of the decision. The school, which includes pre-K through 12th grade students, effectively expelled two of Gross’ children and one of Gonzalez’s. According to the moms, their coalition includes hundreds of other CA parents who are also concerned about recent changes to school materials.
The mothers argued to Fox News that CA was unjustly punishing their children for their parents’ activism. School officials, however, maintain that the two moms’ conduct blocked the type of “positive and constructive working relationship” they agreed to in the enrollment agreement they signed.
The letters show Columbus Academy leaders alleging that moms had “pursued a course of action that has been anything but civil, respectful and faithful to the facts.”
“Instead,” they add, “you have engaged in a campaign against Columbus Academy through a sustained, and increasingly inflammatory, series of false and misleading attacks on the School and its leadership.”
“Your actions caused pain, and even fear for physical safety, among students, families, faculty, and staff,” said CA Head of School Melissa Soderberg and Board of Trustees President Jonathan Kass.

So apparently, the school’s definition of a “positive and constructive working relationship” is that parents shut up and do what they’re told.
Sounds pretty typical, actually.
Home or pod schooling will educate their children much better than the woke curriculum they’ve been opposing, anyway.
The school board sets the requirements for home schooling … eventually they will add CRT and it will be unavoidable for home schoolers.
Just say “no”.
You say that as if the school board can see the classroom. Creative people who home school will teach from perspective. Even if they do cover it, it will be a discussion and debate of the ideas. Not the indoctrination of , this is right, and the only way to think, that is the approach of government schools.
I say this mostly from knowing my cousin’s approach. She has several degrees. She organized her pod with other parents and grandparents and they homeschooling a chunk of their rural community. Everyone teaches their specialty. They have community theater for drama and a local sports group for sport activities. A farmer teaching some of the science, a retired civil engineer, retired mechanic. Her oldest started university far ahead of the curve of knowledge of most entering fresmen.
From the school’s website: “We believe that diversity, inclusion, equity and justice are essential measures of our excellence.”
Run in the other direction.
Why would these parents (hey, where are the Dads in all this?) even WANT to re-enroll in such a school? Just get out and encourage other parents to do the same. Eventually the academic standing of the school will falter. Too bad it would take so long for that latter effect. Yes, home schooling (never heard the term “pod schooling” but I can guess at what it is) seems like the most viable option.
That said, I can see PODKen’s prediction poking in here. California tried
allowing home-schooling only if the parents have a teaching degree and license. I don’t know how that failed to pass but count your blessings. ‘Cause they could easily deny (or revoke) a teaching license to whoever fails to kowtow to the insane LGBTQ(insert your letters here) and BLM curriculum.
Why would a caring parent want his or her children to attend a propagandist hell-hole like that described?
