Trump Attorney: No Charges Expected Against Donald Trump This Week In Manhattan D.A. Probe
Trump attorney: “They just said, ‘When this indictment comes down, he won’t be charged. Our investigation is ongoing.'”
It looks like President Donald Trump will escape charges from Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance in the first round of indictments, and any charges against the Trump organization will be limited in scope.
Vance started investigating the Trump Organization three years ago concerning hush money paid to women during the 2016 presidential campaign and any real estate corruption.

According to Fischetti, members of Vance’s team said they were considering bringing charges against the Trump Organization and its individual employees related to alleged failures to pay taxes on corporate benefits and perks. It has been widely reported that those perks included cars and apartments and appear to only involve a small number of executives.
“We asked, ‘Is there anything else?’” Fischetti told POLITICO. “They said, ‘No.’”
“It’s crazy that that’s all they had,” he added.
When asked if the meeting touched on allegations made by Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen and by adult film star and director Stormy Daniels, Fischetti replied, “Nothing. Not a word on that.”
Fischetti also said that Vance’s team told him they will not bring charges against Trump himself when the first indictment comes down.
“They just said, ‘When this indictment comes down, he won’t be charged. Our investigation is ongoing,’” he said.
A spokesperson for Vance’s office declined to comment.
Vance’s team has told lawyers for Trump that they will proceed with charges unless persuaded otherwise today, according to The Washington Post. Fischetti told POLITICO he expects charges to come this week or next.
“It’s like the Shakespeare play Much Ado About Nothing,” Fischetti added. “This is so small that I can’t believe I’m going to have to try a case like this.”

This is like in a banana republic, where the recently deposed President is attacked and jailed by his political rivals.
The process is the punishment. As with every other ibvestigation of Donald Trump, they have nothing on him and will get nothing on him, but they will continue to hint that he is on the verge of going to prison for as long as they can get away with it.

Of course they won’t indict Trump right now, they’re looking to leverage indictments against the people around him into cooperating prosecution witnesses (whether their testimony is truthful or not) for an indictment of Trump. Bankrupting Trump in the process is likely another motivation, but I think they only get that if they can get an order to freeze bank accounts and prevent debt payments from being made. Freezing bank accounts so the defendant can’t pay a lawyer and will lose their house to foreclosure (and have their credit ruined even if they don’t) is a deplorably common prosecution trick.
They have tried that tactic already and come up with sweet fuck all.
All these pointless investigations have confirmed is that Trump is probably the cleanest fucker to ever have held office in the WH.

Maybe, just maybe, Trump sent the Organization attorneys to city hall and asked them how they’d like to see thousands of jobs move out of NY, and have more thousands of jobs lost because those Trump jobs moved? More closed lunch counters, bodegas, and other such places because the customer base just shrank?

I also suspect Trump has few employees that are NY-based. I’m betting he runs a pretty lean organization.

Unfortunately I don’t think that’s possible. And he can’t even be voted out, because he chose not to run again. His term will be over on Jan 1 next year. They’re still counting the votes on his successor.
