Dozens of Israelis Die In Mount Meron Tragedy, Anti-Zionist Twitter Celebrates
“It isn’t about a few sickos celebrating the awful tragedy in Israel. It is the scale of it.”
While Israel prepares to mark a national day of mourning on Sunday for the victims of Mount Meron, Twitter is swarming with tens of thousands of posts celebrating the tragedy that left 45 Jewish worshipers dead and 150 injured.
According to the findings of UK-based Journalist David Collier, the social media sites have been abuzz with hundreds of thousands of posts cheering the tragic deaths. “Vile hashtags” are trending in Arabic wishing that “more Jews had died,” he tweeted.
Many of the injured worshipers are still in critical condition following Friday’s deadly stampede during the annual pilgrimage at Mount Meron, one of the holiest Jewish sites. Children were among the dead and seriously injured.
It isn't about a few sickos celebrating the awful tragedy in Israel. IT IS THE SCALE OF IT.
Al Jazeera posted 6 hours ago. There have been 30,000 responses.
10,000+ (33%) either laughing at or loving the fact innocent Jews have died.

The UK weekly newspaper Jewish Chronicle reported Collier’s findings:
According to investigative journalist David Collier, a report of the deaths by Al-Jazeera had garnered 30,000 responses, and that “10,000 — 33 per cent — were either laughing at or loving the fact [that] innocent Jews have died. The most ‘liked’ comments were the most vicious”.
“It isn’t about a few sickos celebrating the awful tragedy in Israel. It is the scale of it,” he wrote on Twitter.
Another report of the incident on a site called New Press featured the line: “A number of Israeli settlers were killed and wounded due to a bridge collapse in Galilee, north occupied Palestine”.
This received reactions such as “Even the bridge wants them dead” from someone called ‘Levantine Pali’, while a poster known as Ms.Andry responded with a picture of someone yawning and the comment “Drinks on me, y’all”.
Also writing in response to the New Press article, one social media user called Rooqs said the news had made her night “1,000000 per cent better”, while another, Alishaq’, [apostrophe correct] said it was “about time we got some good news on our media”. A tweet by someone called “MeMe” said simply: “I feel so happy, actually”. Ali Salah wrote “May God ensure the bodies pile high”, while another poster declared: “Oh, God, send your anger and your distress to the Jews…God willing, complete their celebration in the fire of hell”.
In the same thread, a person called Tyre Beragh remarked: “Shouldn’t celebrate the death of any human, but we must also recognise if these occupiers weren’t on stolen lands they would [be] alive”. And a person called MF Jackson responded: “Shut the f*** up — no-one would ever want peace with rapists and murderers, and yes, we will celebrate any loss of Israeli blood, even if it’s that of a child’s.”
It was reported that the international news agency Reuters had received similarly abusive responses after it reported the tragedy.
Some Israeli social media influencers highlighted the outpouring of antisemitism among Arabic users.
Now the hashtag#الجسر_المقدس
Is trending on Twitter – in particular in Lebanon, where anti-Israel racists are celebrating the deaths of innocents in Mt. Meron, simply because they are Jews.Twitter must act against this vile antisemitism pic.twitter.com/L6JXoBF3VY

Outrageous! Radicals on social media are celebrating the heartbreaking tragedy at Mt. Meron where 45 Jewish pilgrims were killed and over 150 injured.
This is pure disgusting Antisemitism. #Meron #الجسر_المقدس pic.twitter.com/nJvBls4CbH

The hatred was not limited to anonymous Twitter users, the U.S.-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) also ramped up its campaign to smear Israel. Disregarding the tragedy, HRW Executive Director Kenneth Roth continued to malign the Jewish State, the only democracy in the Middle East.
“Human Rights Watch has led a smearing campaign against a democracy that has been unable to rest from protecting itself from constant jihadi threats,” Israeli broadcaster Arutz Sheva noted on Saturday.
45 Israelis just died in #MountMeron tragedy. An entire country is in mourning. Dead not even buried.
And what does @KenRoth @hrw do? Attack #Israel. You disgusting, awful man, filled with nothing but arrogance and Jew hatred! https://t.co/f2ZWRJlSzR

Tragedies like these unmask the ugly face of Israel-haters who otherwise keep their vile Jew-hatred hidden behind the rhetoric of “social justice” and “anti-Zionism.”
Noted Israeli blogger David Lange also documented some of the despicable tweets. (View his blogpost comprising only English language comments here)
“As someone who follows these so-called Israel haters closely, this is vile but not surprising. Surprising would be to see any express their sadness or condolences over Jew dying,” David wrote. “I have to keep reminding people: if you find yourself on the same side as such people, you need to seriously consider your own life choices,” he concluded.

Is this, too, a Soros-funded organization?
Shameful, either way.
The Religion of Peace… GWB
He also has a bunch of paintings to sell you, wink, wink
RiIP
We all know the mental health issue you have to be liberal but isn’t it time we cured them?
What.
Like Borderline Personality Disorder there is no cure for leftism. The really are not human.
Yet if there’s a major natural disaster in any of the countries where these evil people reside, Israel won’t hesitate to offer help and assistance.
The more modern the world becomes, the less civilized people seem to be.
“Spoiled”, you mean.
Some people were never civilized and unfortunately, it takes uncivilized behavior to reign them in. That is most certainly the case with low life Arab squatters in Palestine.
Whenever I read the Bible (daily), I marvel at the fact the people today consider themselves to be so much smarter and wiser (and more civilized) than than those in biblical times. I can’t say that I see any evidence of it.
These are pretty vile comments cited. The internet can be such a bike place at times
Israel will prevail. She has always prevailed because of the strength and fortitude of her people, and her leaders.
The US will not be so lucky.
It’s not over until the last baby… fetus…. Fetal-American is planned.
This is the lesson of people persecuted for perceived privilege, subject to affirmative discrimination, planned under progressive regimes, forced to take a knee and scattered to diverse nations.
… until the last baby cries.
I wonder how many of these vile savages will be banned from twitter for violating their “community standards”?
None.
“Biden” will probably post one – written by de factor presidents Susan Rice or Anita Dunn.
First Idiot Jill Biden will try to re-tweet it into Spanish.
It will be determined by Twitter® officials and confirmed by Dorsey that
while all of these tweets and hashtags are vile and horrificthese tweets and hashtags do not violate the Twitter® TOS or Community Guidelines and therefore nobody will be banned for posting such material on the Twitter® platform.Guaranteed to happen.
(But let anyone behave in a similar manner when some dumb as fuck Pali terrorist(s) manage to blow themselves up and Twitter® will ban your ass faster than you can blink. That’s also guaranteed to happen.)
Agreed. Don’t twitter. Go GAB.
None will be banned,, hopefully Israel will will drop a few fuel air bombs each week, for a few months to help those savages in Palestine understand.
Where was John Fonda-Kerry, what did he know and when did he know it?
***Looks at watch while waiting for Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to delete his twitter account.

I tried Gab several years ago. Within an hour it was impossible to ignore the blatant outright antisemitism there. It was a toxic atmosphere. Brazen unapologetic nazis had found a safe space and were reveling in it. I deleted my account and have not been back.
Yes. Gab is that. As are many other so-called conservative sites. LI is one of the few exceptions.
Never did Facebook, Twitter, or any social media. Best to keep your online footprint small.
It does have that reputation, I’m glad you haven’t remained on there. Whilst we disagree on many things I at least can see that you are a person of principle.
Gab also has a lot of good content on it. It is a free speech site so you are going to have to deal with the occasional George Lincoln Rockwell wannabe on there. That is what the block button is for.
It’s not the occasional, it was right out there, front and center and prominent. Why would I want to deal with that?
You shouldn’t and didn’t. Like you, I was on Gab for about a minute and got out when I saw the antisemitiscm and crazy. Deleted my account and will never go back.
The title of this article is not accurate. It’s not “anti-Zionist” Twitter that’s reacting this way. It is “anti-Semitic” Twitter. Jew-hating Twitter.
We don’t need a tragedy such as this to know how the vile Muslim supremacist Jew-haters and their equally vile, Dhimmi-crat enablers/allies think. They’ve already shown their despicable and evil colors, well before this incident.
Jack Dorsey has some work to do.
He’s doing it.
WE have some work to do, about Dorsey.
Henry,
Ok. What actions do you suggest that we, individual citizens, take beyond pushing our politicians to enforce Sherman Act?
I have previously suggested that government at all levels should not use Twitter exclusively. By forcing use of alternatives it reduces the network effect that Twitter and FB ECT enjoy; ie if ‘everyone’ uses it then individuals must also or do without.
Well, I look at the mirror to see the beam in my own eye. If a random gas leak and spark were to take out the homes of Pelosi, or Schumer, or Kendi, or Waters, or Cuomo, or Nadler, I’d be posting stuff that looked very much like that. And I did, for a fact, so memorialize McCain, Teddy, Alcee Hastings, and both Bradys.
Yes, but they deserve it. 45 innocent people who did nothing to offend them, and weren’t even zionists, did not.
Don’t say “anti-zionist”. This is outright unadorned antisemitism. Because here’s something nobody seems to be reporting: The dead in Meron were not zionists.
On Lag Ba’omer the area around the tomb is traditionally divided into several areas reserved for different groups who have been holding their own celebrations there for a century or longer. This stampede happened in the area reserved for Toldos Aharon. Now most of the groups who host the major celebrations there are anti-zionist, but Toldos Aharon is one of the most outspokenly anti-zionist of them all. Even in Meah Shearim, a hotbed of opposition to zionism, Toldos Aharon are known as extremists.
They won’t take money from the state, they won’t cooperate with the state, they do their best to have as little to do with it as possible, because they believe that it was wrong to declare independence in 1948, They believe that it was God’s judgment that the Jews lost our independence in 70, and we must not try to regain it until God Himself gives it back by finally sending the Messiah to reestablish the Kingdom of David. Declaring independence early, by force of human arms, is like a prisoner breaking out of prison before his term is up. Like the zionists they long for the restoration of Jewish independence, but they believe the only valid way to achieve it is by praying to God for it and waiting patiently for Him to grant it.
By the way, that’s a very common view among religious Jews; before 1948 it was the view of the vast majority of rabbis. After the state became a reality most reluctantly accepted it. It shouldn’t have been done, but it was, and now we have to deal with it. It’s not as if it can be reversed. But a few groups refused to make peace with reality, and insisted on continuing as if the state didn’t exist. And Toldos Aharon is one of those.
So these people on Twitter are celebrating the deaths of anti-zionist Jews; thus they can’t pretend their motive is anti-zionism. The only reason they hate these victims is because the victims were Jews, and that makes them outright antisemites.
By the way, fatal stampedes just like this are a regular feature of the Haj in Mecca — they happen almost every single year. This is the first such disaster at Meron since 1911, when a railing on a balcony failed and 11 people died.
Don’t remember Israel cheering those Mecca deaths…..
Yes. But those facts are not reported in the usual media. They don’t fit the narrative.
The truth dies in silence.
The Police caused “Stampede” was like shouting Fire in a crowed theater with all the exits locked and guarded by the Police. This was a Police Pogrom against the Haredim.
