People who work in sales often rely on leads. The better the source of the lead, the better the lead itself. So when your lead comes from the President of the United States and his Secretary of State, you’d be foolish not to follow up and close that puppy.
The leader of al-Qaida has urged Muslims to wage holy war against the United States and Israel over a film that insulted Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.
Ayman al-Zawahri praised as “honest and zealous” demonstrators who breached the U.S Embassy in Cairo and attackers who stormed the U.S. “embassy” in Benghazi in violence linked to the film. The American ambassador and three others died in the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in the Libyan city.
Even if, as president, you later defend the concept of free speech, blaming widespread rioting and murder in the Muslim world on a film is ostensibly a ratification of the violence. Militant Muslims didn’t see the arrest of that “filmmaker” as a laudable conciliation; they saw it as an encouragement. Hence, al-Zawahri’s latest missive.
But why include Israel in his (sales) call to jihad over a “film” by an Egyptian-American? Here’s what Mitt Romney said two weeks ago in a Wall Street Journal op-ed.
The president began his term with the explicit policy of creating “daylight” between our two countries. He recently downgraded Israel from being our “closest ally” in the Middle East to being only “one of our closest allies.” It’s a diplomatic message that will be received clearly by Israel and its adversaries alike.
Of course, in al-Zawahri’s world of inciting-chaos theory, it’s always a good day for Jew hating and murder. When a butterfly flapping its wings in Calcutta leads to a typhoon in Japan, you can blame the Jews.
But it’s not wrong to infer that that “daylight”—which reached a continent’s width when Obama demanded that the starting point for territorial negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians begin with the 1949 armistice lines—is perceived by the Islamic world as an incitement to more of the same.
Just like the Youtube condemnation.
What’s odd is that the Obama daughters seem like really delightful young ladies—not the kind whose bad behavior is appeased by their parents with excuses offered on their behalf. If only our president would make the connection between his children at home and those who behave like children out there.

We should leave Obama’s daughters out of the discussion, completely. It is naive to assume that they are anything but radicals in the making, following the lead and instruction of their parents. Are we to assume that the Obamas, who are leading players in the indoctrination of America’s youth, are somehow raising their kids to love America?

Mostly agree, Rick. I don’t know about the “budding socialist” part but do know that we don’t often see pictures of them happy. It’s hard not to pity them. The best we can do is leave them in peace.

CNN’s Nic Robertson interviewed the Blind Sheikh’s brother on 9-11, the day of the Cairo protests. His brother was the main organizer for the Cairo protests. But you will notice one thing missing from the interview as to why they were going to protest; THE VIDEO. Instead, the reason, the SOLE reason for the protest was the release of the Blind Sheikh. Odd that we have heard rumors since the Benghazi attack of negotiations to release the Blind Sheikh into Egyptian hands, for humanitarian reasons, of course. For two months prior to the Sept. 11 attack on the Cairo embassy, there were “rumors” floating around on the blogs that Obama was “considering” the transfer of the Blind Sheik to Egyptian authorities.
Shortly after–and I mean the day after–Morsi was sworn in, he publicly stated he wanted the Blind Sheik returned to Egypt.
We now know the embassy attack in Cairo was all about the Blind Sheik.
Here’s were it gets interesting..
The week following the attack, Morsi said that if the United States did not punish the film maker, he would organize a
protesttake over of the embassy with 1 million muslim brotherhood following Friday prayers.The night before, Thursday, Obama had a 1 hour phone conversation with Morsi.
The following morning, Morsi called off the “protest”, allowing Obama to keep his embassy, preserving his chances for re-election.
If anyone doesn’t think that entire conversation was Obama trying to convince Morsi that he would have to wait for his 2nd term when he would have more “flexibility” to release the Blind Sheik, well, you’re not paying attention.
Obama’s method of putting out a fire is to essentially pour rhetorical gasoline over us and give al Qaeda a light.

Really? How much interaction have you had with the obama kids? I would posit that based on what their parents are, they are a couple of hurtin’ units.
Using the 1948 truce lines as a basis for negotiating Israel’s present boundaries indicates either incredible ignorance of history on the part of the present or a global shift in America’s policy towards Israeli security.
That would be like using America’s 1492 boundaries as a starting place to negotiate with the Indian Nations over territorial claims.

Given Obama’s upbringing, educational institutions attended, and persons with whom he’s has been and is associated, I would suspect that he has difficulty with the concept of discipline. There’s plenty to suggest this from the way he problem-solves, organization of his work and play, his seeming inability to set priorities, and his dealing with subordinates and other world leaders. When it comes to his daughters, I get the impression he’s more of the indulgent type, with Michele as more of the disciplinarian.

All very nice and tidy but forgetting the most important point, and that is from the time that Israel withdrew from Gaza it has been inundated with thousands of rockets and mortars fired into its population centres, and not even a whimper from its closest “ally” castigating the miscreants, but a flux of money to continue with the barrage.
Obviously the view that the Arabs take from this is completely different to that of Foggy Bottom.
